It is about time they should have terminated this goofballs existence a long time ago. they wasted time and resources on a trial for one of the worst tyrants in our modern history. Now it is Iranian President Ahamadinejad's turn to be put on the lay away plan permanently. Just remember these individuals and others like them would waste not time or effort whatsoever, in terminating our lives they would murder their own people just on a whim. the only thing I greive for is that they lost their souls because they refused to recognize the true lord and saviour Jesus Christ.

How sad it is to be so lost and miserable, and to meet an end like this.

Hey Michael G, Bush caused the death of close to million Iraqis. Does that matter? He must be hung too.

Bush shoulf be tried for war crimes for invading this land. As for you Michael G. you have a lot to learn my friend.

Michael G. is incredibily ignorant. Had Bush the criminal not invaded Iraq the lives of those million Iraqis would have been spared. Moreover it is because of Bush's invasion that Iraq as a country has been destroy.

Bush is the worst criminal that world has ever known.

Bush is worse than Hitler who tortured and murdered people because they were Jewish or gay or weren't part of the Aryan race? How many Michael Moore movies are you watching buddy?

Nice try but nobody is 'loving' Hussein. In fact the people making the comments today are the same ones who were saying similar things in the eighties while Rumsfeld and Reagan were shaking Saddam's hand and GIVING him the chemicals that he used in the war with Iran (hey, they sold arms to Iran too, so at least they are fair)

Likewise the sanctions that killed millions would not have been necessary after the FIRST gulf war but Bush Sr. stated that they preferred a "puppet dictator" to the democracy that Iraqi's wanted to set up themselves.

Hussein hasn't been 'in power' for almost twenty years, the US has been. It's amusing to hear people in New Brunswick talk about what "most Iraqi's" think of anything, where exactly does that information come from? Last I checked the number of muslims, let alone Iraqi's in the province numbered less than norwegians.

Funny thing is the crime that he was actually convicted of, was the killing of 148 people of an Iraqi town, in retaliation for a botched assassination attempt against Hussein. Nothing more.

What is sad, is now that Saddam is dead - he won't be tried for his use of chemical weapons against the Kurds in 1988. He also won't be tried for atrocities committed during the Iran-Iraq war. Maybe because any trial on those subjects would involve details of the Reagan administration playing footsie with Hussein all through the 80's and their supplying of weapons to make these atrocities possible.... however it is too bad that the Kurds won't get the justice they are looking for. This really should've been done properly by an international court, although I think the outcome would've been the same anyway.

While I oppose the death penalty for anyone, even Saddam Hussein, I certainly do not feel sorry for the man.

Also because those war crimes are the same crimes that Bush could be tried for in an international court. There is actually some evidence out there that it was actually Iran that did the gassing. However, the US used all kinds of gas in its illegal war. At least the Iran Iraq war was justifiable as far as wars go. We know that Iraq was an illegal war and an illegal occupation, which would make Bush far more culpable. The difference is, of course, that the US runs the world and there isn't anything people can do about it. They can pick who the 'bad guys' are and execute them, and no surprise, being a good friend doesn't mean much in the long term.

I have had this opinion for a long time and I will express it. Who are we as North American's in a democratic society to think we have it all right. I admit there are extremists in a lot the these religions and they kill in the name of their god, however, there are innocent people in these countires and they don't ask to be killed nor do they want to kill. They want to get up each day, live their life, raise their families and be normal. We will never kill the extremist belief, no matter how many hangings are committed.
The war on Terrorism is such an overused and stupid expression as terrorism is a belief not a thing. The way to change that is education. Who do yo ukill to make terrorism go away. you kill the belief that it is right, not the individual who believs it. This is a never ending battle and we will never se it end in our lifetime, nor in this century, nor in this millenieum. Good Luck to anyone who can eliminate terrorism.
