This is one of those days that I don’t feel like writing but here goes nothing.

I phoned the talk show this morning and the Telegraph Journal received a blast from the callers of that pictures in Saturday’s paper.



What was that picture doing on the front page????



My God!!! Thank God for bloggers or talk shows because there would be no way in the world that the public will get the true facts on certain issues especially
the issue of the Irvings.

Speaking of the Irvings?

The Mayor of Saint John Norm MacFarlane must or should back down on this 25 years old tax deal with the Irvings because it’s going to hold the City back till
the next Municipal Election.



It's just like Ricahrd Nixon with the issue of Watergate.



But in this case, it's different because the Irvings own all the newspapers and there's no way in the world that a Irving reporter will cover the whole story
because they would be fired on the spot. Maybe these reporter can investigate theis issue! But then again, you never seen any investigated story when the politicians in Ottawaa were at the Irving summer resort. This is a picture of the Irving's summer
cottage in the north shore of the province.



Yes, I am certain that if a reporter would be allowed to investigate the way this deal was reach? It would be like watergate!!!

I know for a fact that the Mayor didn’t dedicate his life and soul to the Evil Irving Empire so therefore he should admit that he made a huge mistake because
this issue will not go away.



The Irving’s newspapers can continue to praise the deal but the public knows better.

There’s one good thing that came out of this dreadful issue.

Never have the Irvings or local talk shows have heard so many people going public with their Anti-Irving views.

This issue is not going to go away.

You should have seen the look on her face once she saw me??

I asked - What the hell is going on here?

I asked her for another picture of me and Paul Zed but she denied because I wasn’t too nice with the picture asking the question - Should this Minister resign?


What I found ironic is that the next day, she announced the second reading of the bill that will give the Irvings the 25 years old deal!

Now? Was this a coincidence that she was in Paul Zed office the day before the bill was tabled in the Legislature?

Hey? I’m just asking the question?

Maybe they were debating other issues. Who knows?

Ok.,..lets go back to the assassination attempt!

This morning, I checked my email and I had one email on the top.

The title was from Yahoo administration with a message- Your account will be suspended!

My God? I did good! I didn’t download the attachment.

I just left it alone.

I decided to open the open from a public computer. I told a friend of mine and he stood by me once I open the account.

Before I opened it, I told the guy that the Irvings, Bernard Lord or the New Brunswick Human Rights Commission must have complain to yahoo and they wish
to deny my freedom of speech!

Hey? As Long that I write the truth? What can they say or do?

I open the email and a big square appeared on my monitor telling me that they got me and I had a virus on my computer!

Thank God that I didn’t open my email at home and I did all this without taking my ritalin???...lol...I didn't act on impulse!!!! I did good!!!...lol

Yes, you can say that I survive an assassination attempt because Charles without a computer wouldn’t be a good thing!

Maybe I’m the only one who cannot believe that a story of the most sexist MLA’S shouldn’t be on the front page of the Telegraph Journal?


But then again it just reinforce my belief that it really don’t matter which political party is in power because it’s the Irving’s bureaucrats who runs the show in the Capital!!!

Sous l'impulsion d'une vague de fond venue des États-Unis, un nombre croissant de médecins québécois choisissent de prescrire le Ritalin en continu aux enfants qui souffrent d'un trouble déficitaire de l'attention avec ou sans hyperactivité (TDAH). Certains n'écartent même plus la possibilité d'un traitement à vie. Mais cette petite révolution a des racines encore bien fragiles au Québec, où la question de la bonne utilisation vient hanter les prescripteurs.

Il faut admettre que les statistiques ont de quoi faire sursauter quand on sait que le nombre d'enfants qui souffrent d'un TDAH est constant année après année (de 5 à 7 %). En effet, le fournisseur canadien IMS, qui recense les ventes de médicaments, note que le nombre de visites attribuées à ce trouble a grimpé de 20 % en quatre ans alors que les prescriptions, elles, bondissaient de 30 %. Ce décalage, que plusieurs attribuent à tort à une surprescription, serait plutôt l'indice que cette révolution fait tranquillement son chemin au Québec en tirant les statistiques vers le haut derrière elle.

Dans les cliniques spécialisées en TDAH du CHU Sainte-Justine et de l'Hôpital pour enfants de Montréal, le médicament est présenté comme un élément aussi essentiel que l'est l'insuline pour le diabétique. Quarante ans après l'arrivée du Ritalin, il ne s'agit plus de s'interroger s'il est bon de prescrire un stimulant ou non, mais de savoir comment il faut le faire, explique sans détour la Dre Stacey Ageranioti-Bélanger, qui parle du TDAH comme d'un mal «chronique».

Pour la directrice de la Clinique TDAH de Sainte-Justine, prescrire un stimulant sur une base strictement scolaire lance un message ambigu aux parents comme à l'enfant. Voilà pourquoi elle recommande la prise du stimulant tous les jours de l'année. «Avant, on avait tendance à ne regarder que ce qui touchait l'école et à négliger le reste; aujourd'hui, on reconnaît que c'est un problème qui touche la vie d'un enfant et de sa famille au quotidien», note la Dre Ageranioti-Bélanger.

Vieillir avec le Ritalin

C'est dans le même esprit que des médecins choisissent de prescrire le stimulant à l'adolescence et à l'âge adulte, une tendance lourde aux États-Unis mais qui divise encore le Québec. «Nous avions l'habitude de cesser la médication à l'adolescence, mais nous savons maintenant que la moitié des enfants verront leurs symptômes persister à l'adolescence et à l'âge adulte», fait valoir la Dre Ageranioti-Bélanger, preuves scientifiques à l'appui.

Des chercheurs américains ont en effet réussi à mesurer l'impact non négligeable d'un trouble non traité chez d'anciens TDAH. Adultes, ces gens ont beaucoup plus de problèmes à garder un emploi, ils ont de la difficulté à créer des liens et sont plus nombreux à divorcer ou à se séparer. Comme il leur arrive encore de manquer de concentration, ils se blessent davantage et ont plus d'accidents automobiles. Souvent fragilisés, ils cèdent plus facilement à la pression et sont plus nombreux à penser au suicide.

Car on ne peut jamais prévoir comment le TDAH évoluera ni quand il fera en sorte que le quotidien devienne un enfer. À la clinique du CHU Sainte-Justine, il n'est donc plus rare de rencontrer des adolescents comme Suzie, quatorze ans, croisée par Le Devoir, un beau matin de mars. Enfant, Suzie était une petite fille sans histoire, un peu dans la lune, certes, mais généralement première de classe. À l'adolescence, son problème d'attention s'est toutefois couplé à des problèmes de consommation et de comportement.

Depuis deux ans, Suzie est souvent suspendue et ses notes ont dégringolé. «On savait qu'elle avait un problème d'attention. Mais avant, elle ne vivait pas d'échecs. Aujourd'hui, ce n'est plus le cas. On a donc senti le besoin d'agir», explique sa mère, dans un sourire. Ce matin-là, le verdict est finalement tombé : Suzie devra prendre un stimulant. L'adolescente est visiblement soulagée. «Je veux changer d'école et recommencer à neuf. Je suis prête à le faire avec le Ritalin», souffle-t-elle, en triturant ses piercings.

Mais en dehors des cliniques spécialisées, l'idée de prescrire le Ritalin à vie est encore loin d'être acquise. Médecin de famille en Centre jeunesse, le Dr Yves Lambert compte onze enfants TDAH sur douze dans le seul groupe des six à douze ans. Il sait mieux que quiconque combien la médication est capitale pour ceux-ci, mais il hésite à poursuivre le traitement au-delà d'un certain âge. «J'en suis à en discuter avec mes patients un à un. Je ne sais pas encore où je me situe par rapport à ça.»

Très au fait des recherches, le Dr Lambert ne cache pas qu'il espère obtenir des réponses satisfaisantes dans les prochaines percées attendues en neurosciences. Un espoir que partage le psychologue Denis Lafortune, qui avoue avoir les mêmes réserves. «Les neurosciences nous ont permis de voir que le TDAH n'est pas induit par un seul gène mais par une série de gènes», indique le spécialiste des psychotropes chez l'enfant et l'adolescent. La prochaine étape sera de voir comment s'exprime cette série de gènes au fil des ans.

Le bon diagnostic

Ce profil génétique est peut-être la clé qui permettra aux cliniciens de faire un diagnostic vraiment sûr, ce qui, pour le moment, reste très difficile à obtenir. En effet, certains symptômes attribués au TDAH peuvent appartenir à une dizaine d'autres conditions psychiatriques, comme l'anxiété, le stress, la dépression, quand ils ne cachent pas tout simplement un mauvais classement scolaire ou un climat familial difficile.

Voilà pourquoi des règles très strictes ont été édictées par le Collège des médecins et l'Ordre des psychologues. Mais, compte tenu de leur complexité, bien peu de spécialistes ont le loisir de s'y prêter. Idéalement, le pédopsychiatre devrait faire une évaluation individuelle de 45 minutes de l'enfant, rencontrer ensuite son répondant, communiquer avec l'école, faire une évaluation physique de l'enfant, et, au besoin, une évaluation psychologique.

Denis Lafortune a toutefois constaté que ces règles ne sont suivies qu'une fois sur cinq, pas davantage, en Amérique du Nord. Dans une étude réalisée auprès de 300 enfants vus à la clinique externe de pédopsychiatrie de Sainte-Justine, le psychologue a même calculé que le délai moyen entre l'ouverture du dossier et la première prescription était de zéro ( !) jour.

Voilà un délai qui laisse songeur quand on sait que le diagnostic n'est juste que s'il repose sur une combinaison de plusieurs symptômes qu'il faut soigneusement peser auprès de plusieurs intervenants. «Le principal défaut des évaluations rapides est qu'on accorde une importance démesurée à un ou quelques symptômes très dérangeants, comme l'agitation, ce qui n'en fait pas un enfant hyperactif ou lunatique pour autant», note M. Lafortune.

Une étude américaine a démontré que 80 % des diagnostics sont motivés par ces symptômes-cibles que l'on nomme plus communément target symptoms. Hors des cliniques spécialisées, les médecins n'ont pas le temps nécessaire pour s'astreindre à de longues démarches. «Dans la communauté, les pédiatres ne voient les enfants que cinq à dix minutes, pas plus», déplore le Dr Emmett Francoeur, qui préside le comité de planification du programme TDAH à l'Hôpital de Montréal pour enfants.

Est-ce à dire que nos enfants sont médicamentés à tort ? Le Dr Francoeur en doute. «Il y a certainement de mauvais diagnostics, mais ce phénomène va dans les deux sens. Il y a des enfants qui reçoivent une médication pour un mal tout autre, une dépression par exemple, et d'autres qui n'en reçoivent pas et qui en auraient besoin.»

N'empêche que cela lance un signal pour le moins ambigu, s'étonne Denis Lafortune. «Donner un stimulant à un enfant qui en fait souffre d'une dépression lui lance un message incohérent, même si on le soulage. Il faut se préoccuper de l'interprétation de l'enfant dans une situation pareille.»

Mais si les règles diagnostiques sont si souvent bâclées faute de temps, les médecins québécois sont majoritaires à suivre de très près leurs patients, ce qui laisse place aux ajustements nécessaires, explique le Dr Yves Lambert. «Aux États-Unis, les médecins prescrivent un psychotrope et ne revoient l'enfant que trois mois plus tard. Moi, quand je donne une telle prescription à un enfant, je le vois à la semaine tant qu'on n'est pas arrivé à un état stable. Et la majorité des médecins québécois ont la même attitude.»

I recently heard from a friend who has tried other methods beside Ritalin to control their kids when they have one of "those moments".

One system that she found very effective was to just take the hyperactive child for a car ride and talk.

They usually calmed down and stopped misbehaving after their little outing together. There's nothing better than clean fresh air!

I've included the photo below of one of those sessions with my friend's son in case you would like to use the technique beside taking Ritalin.

The responsibility for drinking, smoking, snorting and shooting up among minors has always been placed first on the home doorstep. But counselors, teachers and school administrators are witnessing a new craze that puts parents even more on the spot: The raiding of Mom's and Dad's medicine chest for prescription drugs that can deliver a new thrill or another way to escape stress.


Prescription painkillers such as OxyContin, Vicodin, and Percocet are the new drugs of choice throughout the nation, as well as here. The Partnership for a Drug Free-America released a study in April that indicated one in every five teenagers in America has abused legal painkillers, signaling the arrival of "Generation Rx."

In addition, teenagers are getting high from medications that are increasingly prescribed for hyper-activity, such as Ritalin and Adderall.

The partnership study said 10 percent of teenagers have tried these "psychostimulants" without a doctor's permission.

Kids like to crush the time-release capsules, getting an 8- or 12-hour dose all at once. The effect is a euphoric high or a jolt of energy.

The experts say the consequences can be serious: Overuse can lead to addiction and even death.

Those familiar with the problem in this area are not ready to call it a crisis, but say it's a trend that needs addressing before it gets out of hand.

While the use of illegal drugs, such as marijuana and chemical concoctions such as Ecstasy, continues to be widespread, the legality and ease of obtaining drugs that are prescribed or sold over the counter has complicated the campaign to curtail them.

"It's just easier to pop a pill at school without people noticing," said Ben Bucchioni, 15, a freshman at Nonnewaug High School in Woodbury. Once a drug user, young Bucchioni went clean a year ago, and started talking publicly about the dangers. He urges parents to get more involved in their kids' lives.

Schools in the region have reacted to the pill-popping craze in various ways. Some deny they have a serious problem. Others have ignored or dismissed inquiries. And others have faced the issue squarely. Region 10, which serves the small towns of Harwinton and Burlington, expelled 13 students this past spring after a spate of drug incidents that alarmed school officials enough to convene public meetings about the problem.

"The students, and some parents, are not taking it seriously enough," said the principal of Region 10's Lewis S. Mills High School in Burlington, Karissa Niehoff.

Kim Gallo, vice principal of Region 14's Nonnewaug High School, insists that drug use has to be admitted and dealt with head-on.

"Parents shouldn't want to send their children to a school that denies it has drugs," she said at a public meeting in March.

When the Sunday Republican conducted a phone survey this April of area schools to find out how many drug-related suspensions have occurred this year, administrators in more than one-third of the schools did not reply, declined to cooperate or said those figures would not be available until this summer.

Of the 17 school districts that replied to the survey, 42 percent of the high schools and middle schools reported an increase in student suspensions this year over last year, while 58 percent said such activity was either the same or less than last year.

How it Works

Interviews with students, counselors, and educators draw a picture of casual theft from home medicine cabinets and quiet transactions in schoolyards.

An athlete on crutches is a prime target for someone looking to buy extra pain pills, for example. A 10-milligram tablet of powerful OxyContin sells for about $5. Once crushed and taken with a drink, it brings on a numbing high not unlike marijuana. If washed down with alcohol, the high can be more intense, and more dangerous. Lethargy in the eyes or slurred speech are signs of use. The short-term risk could be "respiratory depression," according to the Partnership for a Drug-Free America. Over a long period, painkiller abuse can be addictive, with increasingly higher doses or dangerous mixing with other drugs, such as sedatives.

Another drug source is the student who is prescribed Ritalin or Adderall for reducing hyperactivity, commonly called attention deficit disorder (ADD). For those who don't need this medication, it has what is called a paradox effect of making the user more alert and energized. Users often seem unusually nervous. Short-term dangers could be heart attack or seizures. Over the long term, users can be consumed by feelings of hostility or paranoia.

Time-released cold medicines, antihistamines, sedatives and tranquilizers are also abused to such an extent that many pharmacists are cautious about selling even over-the-counter medicine to underage buyers.

Sniffing household chemicals -- such as glue, cleaning fluid, and nail-polish remover -- is particularly popular with adolescents. Butyl nitrate, which is sold as tape-head cleaner, is referred to as "rush" or "climax" for its effect when sniffed or huffed, or inhaled through the mouth.

Any "psychoactive" substance taken in concentrated form will produce a buzz of some kind, but the result can be permanent damage if taken for sustained periods, experts say. "More gets into your blood quicker, and that can lead to a change in your brain," explained Dr. Gregg Grinspan of the Hungerford Emergency Department at Winsted Health Center.

Students familiar with the system said there is no single dealer, such as those associated with hard, illegal narcotics. "It's more like a chain of kids, passing the word," said Scott Conover, 17 of Naugatuck.

How do they know what to do with prescription drugs to get a high? They experiment, share their experiences with peers and get new ideas from the Internet, the students reported.

Local schools have a growing list of rules aimed at curbing consumption of drugs, alcohol and tobacco on school grounds.

Infractions usually carry an automatic 10-day suspension, followed by a hearing by school board members on whether the student should be expelled.

The abuse of legally prescribed drugs is seen as one way to get around the growing welter of restrictions, students and administrators reported. It's almost like a game to beat the system. For those who don't have a physician's permission to use the drug or can't find a source in school, they use a computer with a good printer to forge a prescription form.

"There are a lot of doctors' kids who can get copies of the real thing," said Matt Gernien, 17, of Oxford.

"Children say they choose to use drugs simply because they want to," explained Joy Reardon, executive director of the Substance Abuse Action Council of Central Connecticut, based in Bristol. "To relieve boredom, feel good, forget their troubles and relax, have fun, satisfy their curiosity, take risks, ease their pain, feel grown up, show independence, belong to a specific group, look cool."

In the face of all that pressure, consequences tend to be ignored.

"These students think they are invincible," said Bill Kania of the Wheeler Clinic in Plainville.

THE IRVING'S HITMAN FINALLY GOT TO COUNCILLOR IVAN COURT!!!!

It was time for me to say good bye to Tim Smith and I was ready for my ride to the Capital.

While walking through Brunswick Square, I noticed Ivan Court sitting down at a table.

This Councillor is the only elected official who truly spoke against the City on the LNG deal with the Irvings!

I slowly walked silently behind the Councillor and grab him in a choke hold and said -
Hey? I’m a Hitman from the Irvings and if you open your big mouth one more time? You’re going to get it!!! Do I make myself clear????




He quickly answered - Hey? If there are Irving’s hitmen around Charles? I’m sure they would get you first!!!..lol…

I got lucky because a good friend of mine heard that I was heading for the Capital and found me a ride right near my front door but of course I drove the guy crazy with my many stories.

It made the drive must more interesting. It must have been interesting because the guy gave me his email to add on my list of 1,000!!!

Once he dropped me off at the Irving Mainway, I walked inside and noticed a woman ¾ naked, I glanced at her and said- My God! I forgot that I was in Fredericton? I still have my jacket on!



In the Loyalist City the girls are dressed like an esquimaux.

My God? I don’t know what I said on the talk show CFBC Friday but I received a lot of hits on my web site and this is a good thing.

I’m paranoid of that number!

It’s Germany all over again and there’s nothing New Brunswickers can do about this issue. New Brunswickers are not allowed to write letters against the Irvings and this is not fair.

But then again? Look at the sign at the Telegraph Journal? It shows you the respect the Irvings have for their newspapers. It’s coming to an end soon enough!!!



Lets wait and see what kind of verdict the Senate hearings on the Irving newspapers are going to say!

Our infamous New Brunswick Human Rights Commission have gave the ok to the Irvings that minorities can be assaulted on the job site and there’s nothing we can do about this issue.

Thank god that it’s not 100 years ago because every blacks and Acadians would be hung on the trees!

June 7, 2005, 10:07 am ADT: The CBC reports that New Brunswick's minister responsible for local government, Brenda Fowlie, says it could be months before the province makes a decision to approve a special law to allow Saint John to give a tax break to a new $750-million liquid natural gas plant.

June 8, 2005, 1:34 pm ADT: The New Brunswick government introduces a special law that will allow Saint John to give a large tax break to Irving Oil as an incentive to build the new LNG terminal.

In New Brunswick, apparently, a month is not as long as it used to be. Within hours of Ms. Fowlie's first comment, Irving Oil and its Spanish parter, Repsol, announced they had signed a definitive agreement to build the gas terminal, which will import gas, liquify it and then ship it out again to the U.S. and other destinations.

Now maybe Ms. Fowlie was simply out of the loop on the tax deal. If so, she's not alone. The Irving Oil tax subsidy has been looping its way through Saint John and the provincial government for months, a mystery to all but a few insiders. One of those insiders is Saint John Mayor Norm McFarlane, who got the subsidy idea rolling last March 14 when he appeared before council with a dramatic announcement and an ultimatum.

Saint John, said the mayor to a rapt council, had been selected by Irving Oil and Rapsol as the site of a major natural gas investment. But the investment would not be made unless the city gave the plant a tax break that would limit local taxes to $500,000 a year over 25 years. Council members, who had never heard of the deal before, were told by the mayor they had until midnight that night to vote yes or no.

Somebody asked the mayor how he knew this was a do-or-die tax deal. The mayor said he had spoken with Kenneth Irving several times over the previous months. "I asked him very clearly, and looked into his eyes, and said, 'Kenneth, you look into my eyes and tell me, if this does not happen, will this facility not be here?" To which Mr. Irving is said to have responded: "Yes, it is true."

When politicians start looking deep into somebody's eyes for policy guidance, as opposed to applying common sense and a few principles, the game is bound to go downhill. Saint John council, facing the midnight deadline, capitulated and voted for the deal, estimated to be worth about $100-million over the 25-year life of the $750-million plant.

By approving the tax break last March, city council not only caved in under pressure, it also set New Brunswick tax policy back 40 years. Back in the 1960s, the provincial government put an end to local tax subsidy competition. The common practice then pitted one town against another in money-losing battles for industry. The law banning such tax giveaways still exists, which is why Bernard Lord's Conservative government yesterday suddenly ushered in Bill 70, an act to comply with the request of the City of Saint John on taxation of the LNG terminal.

The bill is, quite literally, the Irving Oil tax break. It wipes several clauses of existing law out of existence and makes a specific and exclusive exception for the Irving LNG terminal. All other industries will continue to pay the full Saint John tax rates, although Ms. Fowlie did not rule out other exceptions. The province, she said yesterday, is willing to look at other projects providing they were "site specific."
One of the lost tax principles here is that taxes, tax increases and tax cuts should apply to all industries equally. Tax preferences on a company by company basis are distorting and unfair, if only because they pass the tax burden over to companies not receiving the benefit. Special concessions create utter confusion over the tax base and the nature of tax revenue. Even worse, perhaps, are the backroom-deal cutting and ugly political games that inevitably follow a system that gives politicians power to swing deals on a company by company basis. Looking deep into somebody's eyes doesn't rate as a guide to public policy.

In this case, moreover, there is much doubt that the tax break was a deal breaker. In the days following the council's midnight vote, information surfaced to show how other places were actually collecting bonuses from LNG plant builders. A town in Louisiana said its LNG plant generates municipal taxes and land fees worth millions of dollars annually.

Nothing in the public domain supports the idea that the business plan for the Saint John plant, to be built on Irving land adjacent to existing Irving facilities, was that tightly tied to a tax break. On the other hand, there's not a whole lot of public information available, especially for a project that has a city council and the Lord government scrambling to underwrite and support with special legislation.

So, in a country whose tax and political system is already a national disgrace, the Lord government of New Brunswick, in a scandalous secret deal led by the mayor of Saint John and a hard-ball playing corporation, have set bad policy and a precedent that could set New Brunswick tax policy back decades.

MAN DIES AFTER CAR PLUNGES IN THE SAINT JOHN RIVER!!!

After I arrive in the Capital. I decided to go for a nice walk! Someone told me that a car just crashed from the Westmorland Bridge and into the Saint John River. I told the guy- This would be impossible because the railings are so high. But I walked to the River and didn't see anything strange. I was by the Legislature. 30 minutes later I noticed hundreds of citizens near the old Victoria Hospital and a car did indeed plunged into the Saint John River. I was told that a older man was behind the wheel and this could have been a tragedy. He left the road and went down a hill and droved right past a walking trail and into the River. That part of the City are usually full of people on this walking trail. It could have been much worst! It's too bad that I'm not set up to post the pictures on the blog. I wish that I would have had Tim's digital camera with me! Ohhh well? C;est la vie. God bless the guy's soul!!!

BERNARD LORD OFFICIALLY ANNOUNCES ELECTION DATE!!!!!

Boy! The Premier received a blast from the voters last night on the program Voice of the Province. Mind you, he’s been on the show a lot lately.




Of course, I decided to call but I had something different in mind for the Premier.

I called the show just as it began to make certain that there’s no excuse for Rogers not to return my call.

I watched the show with Tim Smith and it was funny to watch a live talk show on television receiving a blast from the voters.

It was fun to watch. It was so much fun that I totally forgot that Rogers was supposed to call me back.

The first half hour was done and the host Phil Vincent seemed to apologize to the Premier during the last minute of the first half of the show for the callers reactions.

Every time a caller would call? He would drink his water. I am certain that he went to the washroom during the break.

Hey? Three shows ago, they didn’t return my call. The last show, I didn’t bother to call but this time I wanted to be on so I once again phoned Rogers.

The guy taking the calls said- Ohhh Charles???

I said – When am I going on the show?

I knew that the Premier’s staff was in the studio and I didn’t want to say - Can I? Can I??? Can I be on the show???? Pretty Pleasseeeee????

He said- Charles, you’re on the list!

I quickly answered - I was one of the first one to call and close to 10 callers have been on since I call.

He said- Well charles? You’re on the list!

I got angry and said to myself- Enough is Enough! I demanded to talk to the producer Patrick Watts but I was told that he was too busy!

I told the guy to tell the producer that if Rogers doesn’t return my call? I am going to complain to the CRTC!!! I am not fooling around!! I mean business!!!

He replied- Ok Charles….I will pass the message and hung up.

I reminded the guy to carefully remember these words- C.R.T.C.!!!

The staff at Rogers knows the way that I have been fighting the Irvings that I will crucify Rogers ,I will do it!



I am a strong believer of freedom of speech and there’s no way in the world that a talk show will deny me the right to speak!

When I hung up the phone and told Tim Smith!

If they don’t return my call? I am going to go on a rampage during the summer months against the talk shows on Rogers. Just like Trudeau? JUST WATCH ME!!!

I was so serious that I was going to go on a rampage. I was so serious that I had it all ready to paste in my blog and post that there was 30 minutes left on the talk show but Rogers refuse to call me!

I was all ready to post my blog and Sh@t! the phone rang and it was the Producer from Voice of the Province!

He told me that I was going to be the next caller.

Personally I like the guy and I said - Why did you decide call me??? I’m all ready to go on a rampage here!!! I got my blog all set up to go!!!…lol…

I would have loved to be a fly on the wall when the guy told the producer – Charles told me that I made certain to mention to you the letters - C.R.T.C.!!! ..lol

Ok…It was show time and my turn came up.

I started with my usual Bonsoir Phil.. Bonsoir Bernard.



Bernard had his head down because he’s thinking what will Charles say?

Will he remind the Premier to go to Church? The no sins story?..lol…or any other issues that would be in my five ADHD brains!!!



I could see a sign of relief in his face once I mentioned Ritalin!!!

Of course, he agrees that the doctors should continue to drug and kill our children until the next Provincial election.

What kind of Mickey Mouse answer is that anyway?



I did something different this time around. I handed the phone to Tim Smith and he asked the Premier about the issue of VLT’S!



I have been phoning these talk shows for years and this was a first for me. A two for one call! You can watch the program during the weekend at 3:00pm!!!!

What I found interesting is that the Premier announced in a arrogant fashion that he’s proud to announce the next provincial election will be on October 15, 2007.



He sort of told the audience that he’s going to stay there until the very last day and there’s nothing New Brunswickers can do about it!

He did the same action with the by-election in Shediac-Cape Pele! He waited till the very last day to announce this much needed election for the Acadians in that area.

These poor people were left without an MLA when Bernard Richard became the new Ombudsman of this Province.

It’s that kind of arrogance that’s going to be his downfall!

By the way? The atmosphere is getting very heated in the Legislature.

LNG MEETING WAS LOUD AND INTERESTING!!!

Ok…it’s been quite a last 24 hours. Last evening, I attended the meeting at Harbour View School.

NOTICE THE TABLE ON THE LEFT HAND SIDE IS EMPTY!!! I WONDER WHY!!!




It was hosted by CFBC in Saint John. This was a place for the citizens in Saint John to voice their objections against the manner the City reach a deal with the Irvings of the LNG plant. Hey? I even bumped into my bigot buddy Jimmy Webb. Me and this former co-founder of the C.O.R. Party always argue the Freanch issues on the talk show so therefore if we agree on this issue? It must be a good one!



The number of citizens who attended the meeting varies from who you talk with? The organizers will say 400 to 500 people showed up but the media will put the number closer to 300 people.



The Irving papers will surely not put the number at 500!

I went there with my good friend Dorothy Dawson. The organizers told us to sit up in the front.



I quickly replied - Hey? I’m the shy type!

They said - Yeah right!! You? Shy??? Hey? Guess what?

I am the shy type! Since I’ve been a kid,

I never enjoyed sitting up front. I don’t know why but then again it’s very hard for me to stand still in one seat. I always had that problem. < ADHD remember? >

I’ll be sitting there for 30 minutes and I got to move. Of course, I enjoy chatting with people that I haven’t seen in years and this was the case this last evening.

I believe this was the first time that a host < Rick Mantle >of a local talk show in Saint John have organise a public debate and I might add that it was live on CFBC!

It’s going to be very interesting to see if Rick Mantle is still around next year as host of this talk show?



Will the Irvings use their muscles to make certain that Rick is history after this season?

Time will tell?

Talk shows are becoming very popular in this Province because it’s the only way to spread the message among New Brunswickers.

What else can a person do? We sure cannot turn towards the Irving’s Newspapers!

During the meeting, for one minute? I said to myself - I’m not going to asks questions but being Charles, I was the first one on the mike but little did I know Abel LeBlanc was right behind me on the other mike and my god this is ever gave a good speech!



Nothing better than a longshoreman to tell it as it is! Then it was my turn and I was told to speak away from the Mike but this didn’t work but I was concern with one issue only.


When this LNG issue came uo for the first time. I quickly walked into the Liberal building in Fredericton and my main concern was that this could intervered with the Equal opportunity Act.



You know big industries could approach small towns and demand the same deal as Saint John in which they couldn’t compete. Louis Robichaud must be turning in his grave. I believe that Bernard Lord is breaking the law on this one? But what the hell do I know? But they did debate the same issue on CBC tonight so therefore maybe I am not far off the mark?

Speaking of power? Guess what?

It took 4 days for the proper officials to act on this issue but WE DID IT!!!

It only took four day!!!

Now if the Lord Government would move that quick on other New Brunswickers issues?

That would be perfect!

Boy? They sure move in the Irving LNG deal eh? Really fast! No fooling around there.

The Irvings Bureaucrats are hard at work in the Capital and this is the reason this issue is on the top burner.

The Lord Government and the Irvings truly believe that the citizens who are against this deal will go away.

I got news for these people? Sorry! They’re not going to go away with the sunset and the Mayor of Saint John must…I REPEAT MUST hold an news conference and announce that the City is going to go over this tax deal with the Irvings!

The Mayor must admit that it was a mistake to debate this emotional issue with a gun to their heads! Will it happen? Of course not!

While in the Mayor’s office, I discussed this issue with Norm MacFarlane and I compared it to the era of Richard Nixon.



I’m not saying that he’s a crook. I’m saying that he must tell the public that he made a mistake and the issue of LNG is holding the City back so therefore we’re going to scrap this deal.

I also asked the Mayor that he should go for a stress test and a medical because stress is an awful thing. It sneaks slowly behind you and once it gets an hold on you?

It’s too late!!!

The Mayor told the media that he was going to clean up the garbage in the City of Saint John. < I mean the real garbage >



Look at these two girls playing near the left over in the City? Scary!!! Lets see what’s going to happen with this issue.
