I always held off in writing about this issue but no more. That’s my ADHD in action. I’ll do it but it never gets done!!!!..lol..oh well..c’est la vie…that’s what we do…



Many of you readers will never set foot inside the Legislature. < Maybe that’s a good thing >..lol..


Anyway beside all the media, bureaucrats and MLA’S, there’s one person who works very hard for the Taxpayers of this Province and never receives any credit.

Her name is Donelda Dickerson!!!

I first came across this fine woman after my protest.

Lets not forget that during my 6 months protest, I wasn’t allowed in the Legislature so I didn’t know the going on within the People’s House.



Donelda Dickerson is very quiet individual.

She goes around cleaning the mess the people left in the House.

Especially during the winter months, she always mops the floor so the visitors know the People House is a clean place.

Months ago, I noticed that the House was a little filthy and it wasn’t her style to not keep it clean.

They had other contractors filling in for her but they couldn’t keep it clean.

I found out a few months that Donelda took a leave of absence because her mother had passed away.



The old saying is so true.

You only appreciate someone when it’s gone and this was surely the case with this hard working cleaning lady.

Yes, This woman works by a one year contract and your taxpayers money are well invested with this fine Lady.

When you see our elected officials on Television?



Take a moment to think that there’s a hard working silent worker who behind the scene keeps the people’s House very clean!

This is one investment that you should be proud that the Government made.

Beside appointing Bernard Richard as Ombudsman who always on the phone and checking the information Highway for info to help New Brunswickers?



It’s not the same salary but she does good work for the citizens of New Brunswick.

Keep up the good work Donelda!!!

IF THE TAX RATE GOES UP???? IT WOULD BE WAR IN THE LOYALIST CITY!!!!

Once the LNG deal came in place? I told anyone who would listen that once the property tax goes up? It would be WAR! As any other issue, they go away with the sunset but in this case? It will just bring back the issue og the LNG deal. Am I wrong on this issue??? Here the story in the Irving's paper.

Council to deal with pension fund shortfall tonight

Dealing with the city's pension fund woes will be a major focus for common council when it meets tonight.

Mayor Norm McFarlane says council will explore all options - including an increase in the city's property tax rate to deal with the issue.

The city needs to address the pension plan issue before dealing with next year's budget, he said.

"I want it done before budget," Mr. McFarlane said.

The budget should be completed in early January, the mayor said. That gives the council a little over a month to address the four-year-old pension fund problem.

Mr. McFarlane said he is reluctant to raise the tax rate because council had to raise the property tax rate by four cents last year to pay for items from previous years' budgets.

"My absolutely last resort is a tax increase," he said.

He admitted though, that given the amount of money the city is dealing with in the pension plan problem, council may have no choice but to raise taxes.

"If it has to be, it has to be."

City staff has warned the council that the pension issue could mean either a six-per-cent rise in property taxes or a major cutback in city services.

Another option is the possibility of borrowing the money and adding to the city's long-term debt.

However, Mr. McFarlane said many options were "within reason" because the pension issue has been going on since 2001.

The fund is more than $44 million in arrears and in the next year the city will be required to pay down $11 million of the liability. Actuarial experts say the fund does not have enough money in it to meet the future needs of city workers who retire.

The pension fund's shortfall is the result of an 18-month stock market dive in 2001 and 2002. The city put off dealing with the issue in the past two years and the pension plan deficit is $11 million.

The city's entire yearly operating budget is about $100 million.

Any solution council comes up with for the pension plan will have to be more than a short-term answer, aid Mr. McFarlane.

"What we do for the pension fund will have to look toward the future so this doesn't happen again and another council isn't faced with this in the future."

BOARDERS AND ROOMERS MAYBE HAVE NO RIGHTS IN NEW BRUNSWICK?? BUT THEY STILL HAVE THE CHRISTMAS SPIRIT!!!

Yes, they are the forgotten, the poor , the so call burden of society by many high class people.

They have no rights in New Brunswick. They can be ordered evicted in one hour and there's no Government officials to turn for help!

But after all this?

They are still cheerful during the Christmas Holidays!

BERNARD LORD JUST DON'T UNDERSTAND!!!!

THE KNIVES ARE BEGINING TO COME OUT AGAINST BERNARD LORD???

WOULD SHAWN GRAHAM DO THIS FINE PUBLIC RELATION MEETING WITH THE VOTERS WHEN HE'S PREMIER???

I took these pictures last week and I always said that as Premier? Shawn would meet the voters. I believe that he would do like Frank McKenna and confront any protesters in front of the Legislature. What do you think? These future voters will not forget this little greeting. That's for sure. It sure reminds me when I was a kid and visited the House.

Dear Charles,
Today we will look at the word angel, and learn all about
them. Now the term angel is derived from the Hebrew word
[ malak ] which means "Messenger of God." Also from the
Greek word [ angelos, ] which means "messenger." The
Bible describes four categories of angels:

(A) Winged angels, thus Cherubim and Seraphim, who
appeared to Ezekiel and Isaiah. (EZ 1:4-28; 10:3-22 and
Isaiah 6:2-6.)

(B) The Seven Archangels, without wings, of which we are
given the names of four. Those being Michael (JUDE 1;9 )
Jeremiel ( 2 Esdrus 4:36* ); Gabriel ( LUKE 1:19 ); and
Raphael ( Tobit 12:15* ) [ * Found in the O. T. Apocrypha ]
Note that they all end in (EL) which is short for "of Elohim"
meaning God!

(C) Angels, again without wings, who carry a message or do
the Will of God. (GEN 19:1-22; EX 3:2-6; JUDG 2;1-5; 13:2-
23) Also those of the Heavenly entourage who worship God,
attend His Throne, or comprise God's Heavenly Army.

(D) Fallen angels, also without wings, who fell to temptation,
thus are now satan's angels. ( GEN 6:1-8; )

Often in the Old Testament angels do appear as ordinary
men. Remember the two angels who visited Lot; (GEN
19:1-26 ) Now sometimes their uniqueness is very
evident to us, as they appear clearly not human! As the
angel did to Mary at Jesus' Tomb. ( MATT 28:2-7 )

Also written in the New Testament is: DO NOT FORGET
TO ENTERTAIN STRANGERS, FOR BY SO DOING SOME
HAVE ENTERTAINED ANGELS WITHOUT KNOWING IT!
( HEBREWS 13:2 ) Thus angels do sometimes walk among
us even today.

Now will we be an angel someday? The answer may be
found in the Bible for it says that after our death; THEY CAN
NO LONGER DIE, FOR THEY ARE LIKE THE ANGELS.
THEY ARE GOD'S CHILDREN, SINCE THEY ARE
CHILDREN OF THE RESURRECTION. ( LUKE 20:36 )
Thus angels are revealed to us as beings such as man will
be when the power of sin and death is removed, thanks to
our Savior Jesus Christ!

Therefore Charles, as God's Children we will be angels
upon our human death. After all at our death; THE DUST
RETURNS TO THE GROUND IT CAME FROM, AND THE
SPIRIT RETURNS TO GOD WHO GAVE IT.

Sudden Death, McAdam, N.B.

District 2 McAdam reports there was a mobile home fire last night at midnight, December 9th, 2005, and a body was discovered. The cause of death and cause of the fire are under investigation and an autopsy will be conducted within the next couple of days.

This new building is being built in Officer's Square. It's going to be a place for people can go inside to put their skates on. From what I'm told? It was suppose to be this high because it blocks the view of the River for the tourists. Maybe someone can tell the readers the whole story?

Dear Charles,
As you know our Savior Jesus Christ loves little children! So
today
I will share with you a message that was sent to me last year by
one of our subscribers. I know that you will enjoy it as much as I
do.
It is titled.......

The "W" in Christmas

Each December, I vowed to make Christmas a calm and peaceful
experience. I had cut back on nonessential obligations - extensive
card
writing, endless baking, decorating, and even overspending. Yet
still, I
found myself exhausted, unable to appreciate the precious family
moments, and of course, the true meaning of Christmas.

My son, Nicholas, was in kindergarten that year. It was an
exciting
season for a six year old. For weeks, he'd been memorizing songs for
his school's "Winter Pageant." I didn't have the heart to tell him
I'd be
working the night of the production. Unwilling to miss his shining
moment, I spoke with his teacher. She assured me there'd be a dress
rehearsal the morning of the presentation. All parents unable to
attend
that evening were welcome to come then. Fortunately, Nicholas
seemed happy with the compromise.

So, the morning of the dress rehearsal, I filed in ten minutes
early,
found a spot on the cafeteria floor and sat down. Around the room, I
saw several other parents quietly scampering to their seats. As I
waited, the students were led into the room. Each class, accompanied
by their teacher, sat cross-legged on the floor. Then, each group,
one
by one, rose to perform their song.

Because the public school system had long stopped referring to the
holiday as "Christmas," I didn't expect anything other than fun,
commercial entertainment - songs of reindeer, Santa Claus, snowflakes
and good cheer. So, when my son's class rose to sing, "Christmas
Love," I was slightly taken aback by it's bold title.

Nicholas was aglow, as were all of his classmates, adorned in
fuzzy
mittens, red sweaters, and bright snow caps upon their heads. Those
in
the front row- center stage - held up large letters, one by one, to
spell
out the title of the song. As the class would sing "C is for
Christmas,"
a child would hold up the letter C. Then, "H is for Happy," and on
and
on, until each child holding up his portion had presented the
complete
message, "Christmas Love."

The performance was going smoothly, until suddenly, we noticed
her;
a small, quiet, girl in the front row holding the letter "M" upside
down -
totally unaware her letter "M" appeared as a "W". The audience of 1st
through 6th graders snickered at this little one's mistake. But she
had
no idea they were laughing at her, so she stood tall, proudly holding
her "W".

Although many teachers tried to shush the children, the laughter
continued until the last letter was raised, and we all saw it
together. A
hush came over the audience and eyes began to widen. In that instant,
we understood the reason we were there, why we celebrated the
holiday in the first place, why even in the chaos, there was a
purpose
for our festivities.

For when the last letter was held high, the message read loud and
clear: "CHRISTWAS LOVE" And, I believe, He still is. Amen.

I SAY A BIG MERCI BEAUCOUP TO BERNARD LORD!!!!

There’s no way in the world that I was going to blog this but I find the story funny!



I don’t blog everything that goes on in the Capital but this one is a classic.

This afternoon, I made a stopover at the Centennial Building and a bureaucrat offered me two nice chocolate candies.

I quickly replied – You wish me to be in trouble??? I got to go at the Legislature. …lol…

Once outside of the evil bureaucrat building I walked across the street and walked through the parking lot.

From far away, I noticed three individual walking on the other side heading towards me.

The three guys were - Jody Carr, his twin brother Jack and the newly appointed Minster - Trevor Holder.





I have been waiting to chat with Trevor on the issue of boarders and roomers rights.

If this bill is defeated because of the MLA from Saint John?

Well? I wish to know why?

I might add that I would be his worse enemy in Saint John.

I guess they also noticed me from far away because the two MLA’s quickly went for their cell phone.

Lately, this is a new style in the Capital?

You see Charles coming?

Go for your cell phone and keep on walking….lol…

I shouted from far away to Trevor to leave Dr. Doherty bill alone!!!

They never said a work but someone did say that they were in a hurry!

Hey? If they’re busy? They’re busy!!!

I continued my trek towards the Legislature.

You’ll never guess who came from behind the building?

The Premier himself! I haven't seen him in person for months and I might add that he must have heard of my blog?...lol



This is the second time I bumped into Bernard Lord during the last 48 hours.

It’s the same reaction.

He looks around and if he sees me? His eyes and head turns back towards me.

You know? Just like as a deer starring into a flashlight.



It’s funny!

The last time he told me that he was in a hurry but not this time!

I had him cornered with a worker beside him.

I told him that I wanted to chat with him for a minute.

He quickly answered - For what? So you can put it in your blog??? ….lol..

The Premier always had a sense of humor with me!...lol…

At least he knows I have a blog….lol…

I won’t tell the readers what my issue was because it’s a very emotional one.

I might blog the issue in a few weeks. < I hope that I don’t have too!!! >

I know for a fact that once I got the Premier in front of my face?

I got to move fast before someone tells him to move on.

I know the worker standing beside Bernard Lord and he never said a word.

So therefore I began to explain my emotional issue to the Premier.

Everything was going fine until the van with the three amigos stopped by < Jody, Jack and Trevor >





I believed these guys were in a hurry? I was surprised to see them stopped on the busy street.



They told the Premier they wanted Bernard Lord to hoped in the Van so they can go at Wendy’s!!!

It was funny but if they knew what we were talking about? They would have kept on riding.

Bernard didn’t walked away and he had to go around the van on the busy St-John Street.

I continued my story in French until he was ready to go into the Van.

I knew the security Staff was watching closely through the camera on top of the Centennial Building and it made me feel uncomfortable.



The place to stop a Van was in the wrong place so there were a lot of excitement.

I knew that I shouldn’t have took those chocolate candies. Too much actions in such a little period of time.



I began to walk across the street until Bernard Lord quickly shouted-

CHARLES WATCH OUT!!!!

I came to a complete halt and inches from me was a vehicle!

Thank God for Bernard Lord!!!

My God! I could have gotten my leg broken or worst yet? Killed??

So? Maybe the Premier saved my life???

I’m in debt to him I guess???..lol….

The Irvings wouldn’t be so happy with the sudden heroic action by the Premier?...lol

Can you imagine me with a broken leg??? Scares me just thinking about it!!!

Many will say that I’m making up these stories?

It was snowing and you never know what could have happen?

This is week one of the session and I wonder what else is going to happen during the next two weeks???

There’s always some actions in front of the Legislature! Stay tune!!!
