FARMER'S MARKET IS VERY BUSY DURING THE SUMER MONTHS!!!
Across the street from the Market is a very busy area.
Many people lay down against the trees to enjoy their little meals from the vendors.
YES!!! SPRING IS OFFICALLY HERE!!!!!
When you see the benches on the sidewalks? It's spring.
The City takes them away during the winter months.
I love to sit down on these benches in the evenings.
It's very relaxing!!!
THE IRVINGS SPEAKS OUT LOUD AND CLEAR AGAINST BLOGGERS!!!!!!
This afternoon a young girl appraoched me asking me if I saw the article in the HERE paper about Bloggers???
She was surprised when I told her that I don't bother reading the HERE since the Irvings bought them out last year.
She was surprised once I told her the Irvings were the owners!!!!
Read this one---
The revolution that never came
Doesn’t look like media will be wiped out by blogs anytime soon
There was and perhaps still is a fear among those in the newspaper industry that one day they will wake up and newspapers as we know them will simply no longer be viable or marketable products. They will be replaced and depending upon whom you ask, are being replaced, by Web blogs and news Web sites. The problem with this is that this revolution is supposed to be well underway.
News Web sites have actually become products of newspapers themselves, providing subscribers with extra services while often providing the newspaper with an added revenue source. So, the question remains, what happened to the 'Blog Revolution'?
Wasn't there supposed to be a total reworking of how citizens communicate ideas, especially in the realm of political thought and _expression? Wasn't the ideal that almost everyone would have their own blogs and share their particular insights with those wanting to and capable of finding their sites? Face-to-face interaction could very well cease to exist and the nerds and the recluse about the world kept telling us that this was the best thing that could happen to mainstream media.
So, what's happening out there? In New Brunswick...nothing. It may be better to say, 'very little' rather than nothing at all. As far as political blogs go, the Web site BlogsCanada.ca lists only three based out of this province. The last entry in one was on April 13, 2005 and the last entry in another was a year before that!
There is only one active political blog in New Brunswick, and truth be told, it's not that great.
However, its longevity alone tends to suggest (at the very least) that it has a loyal following or its administrator has a lot of time on his hands and doesn't discourage easily. It is very likely the latter, as comments to his posts are few and far between.
Blogs based out of the larger Canadian cities tend to be more stimulating. There are perhaps 20 or so of these and visiting one often allows you links to the others. A person could probably get a list of the worthwhile blogs in Canada by visiting three and taking note of the links offered from them.
National Post columnist and blogger Adam Radwanski admits that "of the many of thousand of blogs out there, the majority of them are by people you wouldn't listen to if they were talking to your face." He adds that the better ones are in fact "diamonds in the rough".
Some sites like CommentsPlease even allow the public to respond to what is written by a number of these bloggers. At least it did until recently, shutting down (temporarily?) due to the inability of people to basically just tell the truth. The site issued a statement saying quite plainly that the administrator does "not have the time or inclination to check for increasing libellous material," adding that the entire site is in "jeopardy".
While following a response thread, one quickly notices the responses tend to lose relevancy after about dozen and even some of those are just plain rude or worse. After that they go completely downhill. Radwanski adds that it "amounts to a place where people with way too much time on their hands can whittle away their days insulting other people with too much time on their hands." "A lot of it is very angry and uninformed," says Warren Kinsella of www.warrenkinsella.com.
"While a lot of blogs are indeed useful and positive, many have become repositories of anger and sometimes hate. It is very disappointing." Radwanski compares a lot of what appears in blogs to what appears on talk radio, "rather than intelligent analysis, it amounts to everyone trying desperately to be outrageous in hope of attention." He also says that he sees this style becoming increasingly apparent in print media.
What about the ideal? Wasn't the 'Blog Revolution' supposed to allow for the free _expression of ideas and comment? What about all the promises?
Radwanski doesn't believe it's so much a revolution, but simply "amounts to more options than you'd have if the blogosphere didn't exist." Kinsella suggests, "bloggers have believed too much of their own hype and part of that is believing (without explicitly saying) that they are above the law. They are not." In the case of threats of litigation between some bloggers and actual damages sought being a testimony of the failure of this medium, Kinsella, a lawyer himself (as well as author, National Post columnist, political consultant/advisor and punk rocker) states that is not the case. Libel is libel, and "in the immediate and global context of blog publishing" it just shouldn't be allowed, plain and simple.
So, should blogs begin to be run more like newspapers, with editors who actually edit and greater accountability for what appears on their pages? Antonia Zerbisias, a columnist with the Toronto Star and blogger of Azeric says "No and no.They wouldn't be blogs then." Kinsella doesn't necessarily agree, which is nothing new between these two. "Bloggers deserve and need editors," says Kinsella, adding that bloggers enjoy criticizing mainstream media, "but they shriek mightily whenever subjected to the same scrutiny. They like to play the game, as it were, but they do not want to be subject to the same rules." His colleague at the National Post agrees, saying "while there are plenty of quibbles to be had with editors, removing them from the equation means eliminating quality control." All three bloggers do agree on one point; the need for a code of ethics, in some form or another, within the genre.
Kinsella makes the point that bloggers "certainly seem to insist that others in the mainstream media need and deserve" ethical codes. But Zerbisias asks, "who would decide?" The CommentsPlease site is currently experiencing this dilemma. They are looking into a registration process to curb impersonations, and very likely protect itself against legal action in the future before going back online.
The reason the 'Blog Revolution' never took place is because the movement peaked early.
Demands for accountability and ethical writing practices infiltrated the blogger community and with justifiable reasons. The future being faced now by bloggers is whether they will provide a quality product in their own writings or will they become responsible editors to Internet equivalents of letters to the editor forums. The talented have already begun to rise to the top, the less so become discouraged by lack of hits or the amount of time required to keep their blogs up and running while free of questionable sometimes even illegal content.
The wild west of the media is slowly being tamed. Though Kinsella may not be in complete agreement with that statement he does say "being on a communications frontier does not mean one does not owe one's readers some good grammar, spelling and truth."
WHAT'S WORST??? BE ON THE BLOG OR ATV NEWS????
A couple of weeks ago while walking by the Fredericton Police Station.
I once again notice my little cute friend Monice Verma setting up for an interview.
She always just happen to be at the wrong place at the wrong time….lol
I just stood there with my camera.
The female officer quickly turned her head to avoid her picture from being taken.
I just stood there and never said a word.
The female cop began to be concern and shouted - Excuse me sir? What do you want???
I still remain silent.
Can I help you? She continued....
Monica turned her head and BINGO!!! Got cha!!!! .lol…
The female officer was very stern and
Monica said - Ohhh he’s harmless…he’s a blogger!!!!
She forgot to say - Pain in the butt Blogger!!!...lol….
The police officer still remain stern so to show her that I was ok?
I asked - Do you know Pat Bonner from the Saint John Police Forces?
She didn’t know the guy. My God?
He’s been a spokeperson for years and years for the Saint John Police Forces.
These rookies don’t know much I guess.
What I found funny was that she was so concern that I was taking a picture of her and hours later she’s on television!
It’s much worst to be in the blog than on ATV News I guess???....lol

( 1 JOHN 4:16 *NIV )
Dear Charles,
The following was sent to me by one of our Brother's in
Christ, a while ago. Please take time to read it for it may
very well change your day!
______________________________
A little boy wanted to meet God. He knew it was a long trip
to where God lived, so he packed his suitcase with Twinkies
and a six pack of root beer and he started his journey. When
he had gone about three blocks, he met an old woman. She
was sitting in the park just staring at some pigeons.
The boy sat down next to her and opened his suitcase. He
was about to take a drink from his root beer when he noticed
that the old lady looked hungry, so he offered her a Twinkie.
She gratefully accepted it and smiled at him. Her smile was
so pretty that the boy wanted to see it again, so he offered
her a root beer. Again, she smiled at him. The boy was
delighted.
They sat there all afternoon eating and smiling, but they
never said a word.
As it grew dark, the boy realized how tired he was and he
got up to leave, but before he had gone more than a few
steps, he turned around, ran back to the old woman, and
gave her a hug. She gave him her biggest smile ever.
When the boy opened the door to his own house a short
time later, his mother was surprised by the look of joy on his
face. She asked him, "What did you do today that made you
so happy?" He replied, "I had lunch with God." But before
his mother could respond, he added, "You know what? She's
got the most beautiful smile I've ever seen!"
Meanwhile, the old woman, also radiant with joy, returned
to her home. Her son was stunned by the look of peace on
her face and he asked, "Mother, what did you do today that
made you so happy?" She replied, "I ate Twinkies in the
park with God." However, before her son responded, she
added, "You know, he's much younger than I expected."
Too often we underestimate the power of a touch, a smile,
a kind word, a listening ear, an honest compliment, or the
smallest act of caring, all of which have the potential to turn
a life around.
People come into our lives for a reason, a season, or a
lifetime. Embrace all equally!
Therefore Send this to people who have touched your life in
a special way. Let them know how important they are. Then
why not have lunch with God yourself?
Author Unknown
Wishing you a Wonderful day Charles, and enjoy your lunch
with God today!
With My Love & Prayers,
Pastor Allen

DID THE STAFF FROM BERNARD LORD OFFICE TOLD SECURITY - DON'T LET CHARLES NEAR STEPHEN HARPER!!!!
I tool a lot of pictures but none came out!!! I badly need a camera. So read on without today's pictures. Just like the old days!!!
Be warn in advance? This could be a very long winded blog.
I sit here with my keyboard reflecting of today’s events.
I learned that Stephen Harper would be in Fredericton.
I quickly made my contacts and found out where the Prime Minster of Canada would be located.
It was on College Hill Road. I couldn’t find a ride so I began the long walk over the hill. My God? It’s a big hill and I soon found out that I’m not as young as I used to be.
Once in the area, I wasn’t certain exactly certain of the location.
I noticed some barricades from far away with security personel around.
This must be the area!!!
Once there, I noticed Tim Porter < Premier’s office staff > chatting with a R.C.M.P. officer.
I chatted with a woman who was working in the building and the issue of Ritalin came up?
Of course, I’m the one who always tell people that I was the guy who protested in a tent in front of the Legislature.
This is where I get my real stories.
I must admit that this one was a little hard to believe because she told me that the Doctor suggested to her child- 9 months old child should be on Ritalin?
Yes, 9 MONTHS!!!!
I found it hard to believe that young.
At the end, she told me that she was proud of herself because it’s up to the parents to say - No!!!
The next thing that I knew? I was told to stand behind the barricades.
The cop was the top gun and he must have got his orders from someone. Now? I wonder who would that be?
I believe it was a joke so I never debated the issue.
I was approached by three different officers asking me questions.
On two different occasions, they asked me to explain to them what was a Blogger????
I told them that maybe it was the wrong example to use but lets say that someone tries to do harm to the Prime Minister?
An individual will have to wait till the Nightly news or the Irving newspapers the next morning.
A blogger would quickly run to a computer and write up the story with an opinion.
I noticed ¾ of the people walking in were P.C.’s!!!
The security was very tight and I was agitating everyone walking in < especially the Irving media. >
I shouted – Hey? How come you guys can go in there and I can’t!???
They pointed at their pass.
I shouted back – You mean an Irving pass???
My camera is in bad shape and my pictures never took!
I had another camera in tow but it was someone else little toy! I spent more time trying to figure out if the pictures took!
It’s wasn’t an easy task!!!
Even the Mayor showed up.
My god? The Chairperson Kenneth Maybee of the New Brunswick Lung Association was also there.
I was surprised to see one Liberal in the crowd. Kelly Lamrock made a stopover at the event.
Many seem to be surprise that I was ordered behind a barricade but the sad part of this story is that I was the only one.
I was approached by an undercover R.C.M.P. telling me that I will follow his commands.
His name was Paul and he looks like a nice guy.
He soon found out that it would be one heck of a job to accomplish because he had to listen to me for 45 minutes.
I needed to use the washrooms but fat chance of the security staff to let me go inside.
I took many pictures while he was standing right beside me.
Suddenly, I noticed the news media filming with their cameras on the highway but I never paid close attention because I was still trying to figure out the darn camera.
The individual who owns it did tell me that she had problems with it in the pass.
While fooling around with the camera, the cop asked me a question and grabbed my attention.
The next I knew Stephen Harper was inside the building in the crowd and the cops quickly closed the fence.
I asked the guy - Where did he come from?
The cop assured me that he took a back door but I learned later on that he passed right by me and I got distracted.
All I could hear was Bernard Lord voice praising the Prime Minister.
I told the cop that it’s driving me nuts but after the Provincial election? We will no longer hear Bernard Lord voice.
I mentioned that I should go home because I couldn’t see anything.
The police officer quickly offered me a ride. I was tired so I took his offer.
The other cop give the other a thumbs up and away we went.
The cop dropped me off at the Beaverbrook Hotel and he was on his way.
So exactly what happen today anyway?
Why wasn’t I allowed in the building?
Did Bernard Lord staff tell the security personal that I shouldn’t be allowed near the Prime Minister?
Why was I single out? Is this the Prime Minister new style?
What a big different that 10 months makes when I chatted freely with Stephen Harper of the issue of Methadone Clinics in New Brunswick but not this time.
Why did I allow this to happen? Why didn’t I voice my concerns to the Prime Minister staff?
Very good questions?
I just followed the flow and took everything in but one thing is assured?
This will not happen again!
This is the first time in my life that I was ever denied to a political event and I strongly believe it was the making of the staff from Bernard Lord office.
We know that the staff from Bernard Lord denied Tim Smith to go inside their building during a nomination meeting in Saint John Harbour.
This is one reason that we have to vote Bernard Lord from office.
We know that he does not have good public relation skill with the public but now the staff is giving Stephen Harper advices?
The Prime Minister office would be warn not to take advice from this group of people!
I will sent out a complain to his office and lets see if the Prime Minister answers back?
There’s never a dull moment for this bloggler!!!!
RITALIN DEBATE CONTINUES!!!! BUT BERNARD LORD WON'T LISTEN!!!!
Panel: drug shouldn't be used for ADHD yet
ANDREW BRIDGES
Associated Press
WASHINGTON - The narcolepsy drug modafinil should not be approved as a treatment for attention deficit hyperactivity disorder in children until more is learned about a possible link to a serious skin disease, federal advisers said Thursday.
A Food and Drug Administration advisory committee voted 12-1 against recommending modafinil as safe for children with ADHD. Earlier Thursday, the psychopharmacologic drugs panel agreed unanimously that the modafinil works in treating ADHD.
The FDA is not required to follow the recommendations of its advisory committees but usually does.
The committee recommended that Cephalon Inc. undertake a 3,000-patient trial to determine what risk modafinil may pose for Stevens-Johnson Syndrome. Drug reactions cause nearly all cases of the sometimes fatal skin disease, which can produce widespread blistering and rashes, according to The Merck Manual.
The FDA's drug chief, Dr. Robert Temple, said one out of roughly 900 children involved in earlier studies of the drug developed the disease.
Temple and Cephalon spokeswoman Jenifer Antonacci said the agency and company would discuss the committee's recommendation. The Frazer, Pa.-based company does not see a "clear link" between its drug and the skin disease, Antonacci said.
In December 1998, the FDA originally approved modafinil, under the brand name Provigil, to treat adults with sleepiness associated with narcolepsy. The company has proposed calling a higher-dose version of the pill Sparlon when used to treat ADHD.
Other drugs already approved by the FDA for ADHD include Ritalin, Strattera and Adderall.
A different advisory committee recommended on Wednesday that the FDA add warnings to the labels of those and other ADHD drugs on the market alerting doctors and parents to the possible risk of hallucinations in the more than 3 million children receiving the popular medications.
Narcolepsy is marked by recurring episodes of daytime sleep, lasting from a few seconds to an hour. The disease can be merely inconvenient to some people, but disabling and dangerous to others who may fall asleep while driving or operating machinery.
DAY TWO!!!! NEW BRUNSWICK FAMILY SERVICES STILL REFUSES TO RETURN THE CALLS FROM THIS POOR INDIVIDUAL!!!
These bureaucrats just wish her to die I guess!!!! They haven't return her calls in months!!!!!!
GOD'S MINUTE!!!!
FOR THIS IS WHAT THE LORD SAYS--HE WHO CREATED
THE HEAVENS HE IS GOD; HE WHO FASHIONED AND
MADE THE EARTH, HE FOUNDED IT; HE SAYS: "I AM
THE LORD, AND THERE IS NO OTHER."
( ISAIAH 45:18 *NIV )
Dear Charles,
It is important to remember that GOD is always in Control,
even though things in our lives may seem totally out of control.
This includes when the events of this World seem to be out
of hand as well with terrorists and wars etc.
After all; IN THE BEGINNING GOD CREATED THE
HEAVENS AND THE EARTH. ( GENESIS 1:1 ) HE
COVERS THE SKY WITH CLOUDS HE SUPPLIES THE
EARTH WITH RAIN AND MAKES THE GRASS GROW
ON THE HILLS. ( PSALM 147:8 ) HE DETERMINES THE
NUMBER OF STARS AND CALLS THEM BY NAME.
GREAT IS OUR LORD AND MIGHTY IN POWER; HIS
UNDERSTANDING HAS NO LIMIT. ( PSALM 147:4-5 )
So Charles, no matter what you may be experiencing
right now, or will be in the future, know that GOD is with you
and in Control. So; BE STRONG AND COURAGEOUS. DO
NOT BE AFRAID OR TERRIFIED BECAUSE OF THEM,
FOR THE LORD YOUR GOD GOES WITH YOU; HE WILL
NEVER LEAVE YOU NOR FORSAKE YOU.
( DEUTERONOMY 31:6 ) FOR THE EYES OF THE LORD
ARE ON THE RIGHTEOUS AND HIS EARS ARE ATTENTIVE
TO THEIR PRAYERS, BUT THE FACE OF THE LORD IS
AGAINST THOSE WHO DO EVIL. ( 1 PETER 3:12 )
After all it is written; FOR THE FOUNDATIONS OF THE
EARTH ARE THE LORD'S; UPON THEM HE HAS SET
THE WORLD. HE WILL GUARD THE FEET OF HIS
SAINTS, BUT THE WICKED WILL BE SILENCED IN
DARKNESS. ( 1 SAMUEL 2:8-9 )
Therefore Charles, have a great weekend knowing that you
are in good hands, with JESUS in your life! Amen.
With My Love & Prayers,
your servant Allen

MILT SHERWOOD??? HE'LL TELL YA THE STORY ABOUT BERNARD LORD IGNORING THE DRUGGING AND THE KILLINGS OF OUR CHILDREN!!! or will he???
With the issue of Ritalin and the drugging and the killings of our children on the front page in the media these last few days.
I know one P.C. MLA who’s a witness that this emotional issue must be confronted.
I’m surprised that I never wrote or spoke about this issue in the past.
Once I found out that I have ADHD in the late 90s.
I quickly wrote a guest column for the Reader in the Telegraph Irving Journal.
My picture was on the front page on a Saturday and I had many parents calling me with their sad stories.
Months later, I organized a little meeting at the Saint John Library.
There must have been 25 people who showed up with their concerns.
I invited all MLA’s to the gathering but only one showed up.
That MLA was P.C. MLA Milt Sherwood from Grand Bay!
Once again, he heard all the sad stories and he was very surprised by the way their kids were treated in the school system.
I’ll never forget the look on his face.
He looked shock!!!
He said - I have never heard of Ritalin or ADHD until tonight!!! THIS IS TERRIBLE!!!!
I presume that once he would get to the Capital? He would share his experience with Bernard Lord but maybe he did? Maybe he didn’t!!!
I walked around with 20 badges from candidates from different parties who would support my fight.
Bernard Lord told me that he’ll do a study if he’s elected Premier?
He was elected Premier and he totally ignored the issue of the drugging of our children.
This is the reason that Bernard Lord will continue to kill and drug our children!
He refuses to address the issue and this will be his downfall during the next Provincial election!
My God? Even Bernard Richard told the Senate and the media there was a major problem with Ritalin in New Brunswick!
Shawn Graham will do a study on this issue. If he doesn’t? Well, it will be déjà vu all over again!!!
You don’t believe my story??? Just ask Milt Sherwood if my story is true????
He’ll tell ya……or will he????
