Ok……it’s been quite a last 24 hours in the Capital.
I met Tim Smith < You can see his picture in my photo album. He’s number#3> at the bus station and we went for a nice Tim Horton’s Coffee!
My God? Does that guy ever love his coffee?
We walked around and made a stopover at the Legislature. I introduced the guy to the people at the Library and I knocked at the Sergeant At Arms door and asked him where could two protesters set up a tent to protest? All in the fun!
I decided to introduced him to the Ombudsman – Bernard Lord.
Before walking in the building, I asked Tim - Do you know what that building is? He didn’t have a clue???
It was the building of those racists members of the New Brunswick Human Rights Commission!
He knew of them from my updates! We had a good laugh when I told him of the time that I showed up in front of that building with a Blowhorn!
It shook the building and it didn’t take long for those racists members to come out of the building with a white flag! I might stop calling them –Racists and call them Irving Employees! What do you think?
Anyway, I introduced him to Bernard Richard and expected the conversation to last a few minutes because I know that the Ombudsman is a very busy individual.
My God? Tim and Bernard debated the issue for over 10 minutes and it was interesting!
I’ll let Tim tell you what they debated about if he wants too?
At around 4:15pm, I bought Tim to my place and something bad happen! I won’t go into the details at the moment. I’ll write more about this issue during the next few days. It had nothing to do with Tim Smith. It was my caretaker and this morning, I found out some interesting facts about this issue so stay tune!
At 5:30pm, Tim was hungry so we went at the Soup Kitchen. I was surprise to notice that this activist is very popular with the boys!
You see? Tim has no money and when he was protesting in front of the Legislature during the cold winter winds of January? He stayed at the Shelter.
Afterwards, he stopped at the shelter and asked if he could sleep in that needy place over night?
The guy told Tim that the place was full during the last three days so he couldn’t promise anything but he did tell Tim that the Fredericton Police could put him in the lock up over night!
Hey? Tim didn’t care where he stayed? As long that he stayed in a place that was warm!
We visited a friend’s place and at 7:00pm we walked in the heavy rain to Rogers Television for his one hour of fame.
Tim asked me - Are we going to walked by a Tim Horton’s?????
My God? The guy must have drank ten cup of coffees during the day and I was a close second!
My God, was I ever hyper with all that caffeine and sugar in my body???
Thanked God that Tim had an umbrella because the rain just came down very very very heavy!
Once we arrived at the building, I noticed the producer of the show standing outside and of course being Charles the agitator?
I shouted- Hiiiiiiiiii Lord!!!!!
The individual just walked away! I was still upset that the staff took orders from the Staff at the Premier’s office not to let me confront the Premier on a talk show!
Minutes later, I bumped into the same individual again and said- Hiiiii Lord!!!!
Well. The person told me that it was a mistake! They totally forgot about me! I replied - Come on now? You don’t expect me to believe that one???? I have been calling that show for the last 5 years???
Anyway….I dropped the issue but not totally! That’s for later.
Denis Melanson < host > showed up and was he ever in bad shape! He looked terrible. He has problem with his knee and he only had a couple of hours sleep!
I was more worried about the host being ok than the guest?
Once inside the producer told Tim Smith that he couldn’t wear a white t-shirt because the colour wouldn’t show on Television.
Poor Tim didn’t have an extra shirt so the producer gave the brown sweater off his back to the activist.
The producer told me that he was busy so I could sit in the producer’s chair! I said- No problem! Now? Listen to me Staff??? When Charles LeBlanc phones in? Tell him that we will get back to him but we won’t!!! Hiiii Lord!!!!!
We had a good chuckle and I guess that will be the end of the Hiiii Lord story!
I was going to confront the Premier himself on this issue with a good Hiii Lord but why bother? If he wishes to listen to his staff and don’t take calls from me? Then so be it?
Hey???? I am only talking about moi moi moi here!!!
My God close to 900 words! Sh@t!!!!!
The show went great! I was surprise of the way that Denis Melanson can change his attitude. Before the show? He looked half dead but once the music started and he began to introduce his guest? He changed just like night and day! My God? What an actor? I don’t know how he does it? He should receive an Oscar for that kind of acting???
I predicted 15 calls but he got 13 callers!
The show could have went on for one more hour. No problem whatsoever because people or addicts were calling in telling the audience of their own personal problems with the VLT’S!
Lets not forget one thing? It’s not everyone who has the guts to phone a talk show! The producer said that Tim Smith acted like an expert and they will do a follow up!
We all felt that Tim Smith did a superb job!
One more surprise was right around the corner.
The Producer asked Tim if he wanted to stay in a Motel?
My God? That was awfully nice of the producer to offer him a place to stay?
He stayed at the Silverwood Motel! I gave Tim a little hug and they droved the Protester at the guest house!
I met the guy this morning at Tim Horton’s! DOES THAT SURPRISE YOU???????? TIM HORTON’S TIM HORTON’S TIM HORTON’S! ,,,lol,,, We went to the Rentalsman office and had a very good interesting chat about the issue of the caretaker in my building!
You readers are going to be very surprise of the stories that I’m going to write about during the next few days!
It was 11:15am and the bus was ready to go!
I asked Tim Smith if the Government doesn’t do anything of the issue of the VLT’S? Will he be coming back to the Capital?
He said - That’s a known fact! I’ll be back to continue the fight!
I guess the guy isn’t going nowhere!
I gave the guy a hug! That’s not my style to hug people but I feel a little bond with the Guy!
Minutes later, he was on his way back to Saint John while the sun began to shine!!!
Tim Smith should be congratulated for a job very well done and lets pray that the Lord Government will listen and act on his concerns?
Did you watch the show last night?

Good work Tim.
You said you wanted to introduce Tim Smith to Ombudsman Bernard Lord. When did Bernard Lord become ombudsman? Very scary thought. Say good-bye to any remaining rights people have if Bernard Lord is the new Ombudsman. God forbid.
lol..lol..lol...hey?? At least someone is reading the update in details!!!...lo...I am certain the white Irving Employee can fix the problem! If not? C'est la vie!!! I write the darn thing and send it along! I should take the time and read the darn thing!!! Sorry about that but it is a scary taught is imagining Bernard Lord in Mr.Richard job???
I don't know if you are aware of this or not Charles : ??
There is a very strong Rumor going around that the owner or owners of Maritime Broadcasting System, the owners of CFBC, C-98 AND K-100 have their Saint John Radio Stations Up for Sale, in addition to all of their other Radio Operations in Atlantic Canada !
Rogers will not be hitting the air waves until September 1 according to a recent local newspaper article, Dated Wednesday, February 23 , 2005, " Section C1 "
Will they be having an open line talk show ?
Be rest assured I am not pulling your String with this email !!
As a talk show host who has done more than 400 live television programs over the past 4 seasons, being on the air has become second nature to me..
Sometimes I forget how intimidating the whole set up can be to someone who has not been exposed to it...
There is a large studio, huge cameras, lights, people running around getting things ready...all a bit overwhelming....
I would like to commend Tim Smith for the fine job he did on Tuesday night's "Melanson Live"...
There is no doubt and it was quite obvious to me that he was quite nervous at the onset...
He quickly relaxed and settled in to his job at hand...in fact he
handled himself like an old pro..
Going live before a provincial audience and revealing your shortcomings can't be an easy job..
My thanks as well to those who called in to tell their stories...
They not only added to the content of the show but gave Tim that little bit of extra encouragement he needed...
I have invited Tim to appear again on Melanson Live later in the season for an update..
I'm truly looking foreward to that..
Thanks..
Dennis Melanson
If Bernard Lord does become Ombudsman who will be his staff. He will have to recruit from U.S.A because he will have hard time finding KKK around here.
I think Mr.Melanson should seriously consider hooking up with Mr.Smith and Mr.Dunsworth to do a second show about this topic and also DARE someone from the addiction services as well as a representative from the Government to join in,Now that would be worth tuning in for especially to watch them try to out talk Tim & John.
Those two are both emotionally attached to this cause and are dealing with this issue from first hand experiance as they are now identified as long term addicts and from two totally different worlds. Great job Tim & Dennis!

Of course we both know, you're more in touch with what's going on than I am... In fact you get more inside info than 99 percent of the reporters in this
province...lol
I JUST RECEIVED THIS LITTLE EMAIL! SO YOU THINK THAT ONLY YOU HAS PROBLEMS EH??? READ THIS ONE FROM A GOOD FRIEND OF MINE--
I had to write to tell you what is going on so far this week. The
transmission that I bought last week did not fit. I had to buy one in
Nfld. I was told that it would be here Monday and today I get a call
and
the transport truck (Day and Ross) broke down half way here and is
being
towed to Moncton. I cannot get the new transmission til maybe Friday.
So
this morning I am driving to work and the engine light comes on in the
truck. I will probally have to stay in Saint John because I do not
know
why the engine light came on? It has been quite a week so far thats
for
sure. I would like to drive the vehicles right off of the bridge right
now. I have those 2 other trucks that I am selling for $600.00. Maybe
I
should keep them who knows. I have 6 vehicles registered in my name at
the
moment and not one works well.......How has your week been
going?......
Great Letter Tim, but please don't hold your breath waiting for this
Government to do anything good for the addicted. They are driven with
greed and with all of the money they are making on gambling, drinking, cigerettes and of course the legal heroin (Dilaudid and Oxy-Contin), they are still crying hard times and we the Tax Payers pay for their many mistakes daily. Their decissions reflect what they are all about!!!!!!!!
Need I say more. I see a landslide with the next election.
Hi chuck how are you, great coverage on the vlt protester tim smith but lets remember the province of new brunswick has always had major political problems no matter who was in government so maybe we should try ordering a party leader from outside the province since we,re not able to find or produce one of our own / or maybe we should try something a little different and put all parties in one bowl stir them up and hand pic the best of the bunch and by doing that we can also get rid of big government in this province because we all know even through that process we are going to come up short of enough talent to run this province.!!!!!Good luck tim in trying to get enough ears to listen from the house of confusion..
After next election Bernard Lord will become a footnote in history in small print.
Hi Charles, I'm from Moncton, got your updates from Autism site -
signed up on your list after following your time in Fredericton.
I have an Austistic son & had a very bad experience with Ritalin. Like to read up on your updates & such.
Thank you!!!
I would like to thank the many people involved in this issue with whom the publicity would not be possible / Globel-Jackie foster,ATV-Steve Murphy /Rogers-Dennis Melanson-and a special thank-you to his Producer-Patrick Watt -And also Charlie Lablanc who has used more than his share of his own website in helping this cause. I have received an e-mail from Minister Blaney and in her own words I quote( I am now in contact with Atlantic Lottery Corperation and have started talks with them on potential changes and am very encouraged by their level of interest, will keep you posted.)Lets keep our fingers crossed again thank you to all for the great comments over the last couple of months and the never ending support on this issue although I must admit it is an absolute shame that the leader of this province couldn't pull himself together long enough to put in an appearance and at least pretent to give two words of encouragement toward a positive cause for the thousands of people that have been wronged for sooo long but then again tomorrow hasn't come yet and it has been said many times in the past that we reserve the right to change our minds and might I say in ending on this note OUR HEARTS>!!!!
Maybe you should write about how you have pissed off so many MLAs and Civil Servants.
Those who have been trying to help you are no longer interested.
You found out that Bernard Lord had nothing to do with you not getting on Melanson Live,
but I don't see you apologizing for your lies.
Someone wrote that Ridgewood is outside the City - WRONG - maybe it's about time that people understood that West Saint John is
part of Saint John.
The City boundary is at Grand Bay - not 8 kms down the
road in West Saint John.
Thank you for your negative peply it's always healthy to hear from both sides of any issue but I would like to point out that my statement was to bring into light that the addiction centre was too far from the core of the city for most people to reach, sorry you failed to see that, but I disagree that I (pissed and official off)I might also point out if that is all you believe it would take to (piss them off) than we might as well not fight for any rights in this province.I think if you could turn your quick negativity into a causious positive movement more people would prosper (turn that frown upside down they haven't found a way to tax a smile yet)thanks again and have a great day!!

I would consider South Bay the outskirt of Saint John and I believe the City of Saint John does also. Why are the buses in the core area of Saint John running every hour and what I would consider the outskirts run
only 3 times daily. So it might be considered city limits but South Bay does not get the sidewalks, buses, and other normal things that the core City
people get. The addiction centre is located at the wrong place for poor people!
Yeahhhh The blog is going great and all thanks to the White Collar Irving Employee! If it wasn't for him? It wouldn't be in existance but then again? I have 600 people on my email list who I send a letter on a daily basis!!!!Thank for reading and also for the comments!!!!
