N.B. radio host dies in highway accident

A voice has been silenced on New Brunswick's country music scene.
Perry White, 43, a radio personality with The Tide in St. Stephen and weekend announcer for CHSJ in Saint John, died Monday in an accident on Highway 1.
White was driving a minivan from St. Stephen to Saint John when he crossed the centre line and hit a flatbed truck carrying a modular home head on, police said.
The accident took place on a straight stretch of road near the St. George exit, said RCMP Sgt. Greg McEvoy, and the highway was clear of ice and snow.
A third vehicle travelling behind the truck swerved to avoid the accident and went into the ditch. The driver and a passenger were taken to hospital but later released.
