I had a chat with someone this morning and the
individual told me that I should move on towards
different issues because the public and readers are
starting to ignore me.
Are you ignoring me? Let me know? Should I move on
and let these bureaucrats get away with racial issues?
It’s hard to move on when you know for a certain
fact that those racists members of the New Brunswick
Human Rights Commission got away with murder!
Especially since we have a convicted thief who
protected by C.U.P.E. looking after the Irvings
interest in the Commission office!
To top it all off? He stole from the Irvings and
now is on the Commission??? I wonder how much money he
made underground?
The ombudsman said - In the Human Rights Act it
doesn’t say that the case worker must sit down with a
complainant after the complaint is filled!
This is totally absurd!
A person who was discriminated against who cannot
properly write a complaint! <> will go
against high paying lawyers from the Evil Irving
Empire? They don’t stand a chance in Hell!!!
New Brunswickers rights are at great risk!
The Irvings have control of the Compensation
Board, the Human Rights Commission and almost all the
newspapers in this Province!

I didn’t sleep good last night because I had a big
emotional issue on my mind.
I was watching Global news at 11:15pm and they
told the T.V. Audience that someone got killed on
Golden Grove Road in Saint John.
For a few seconds, they showed the house of the
poor guy whose vehicle fell off the jack and landed on
his body.
They said that the guy died!
Oh boy!!! It was the same house of a person I know
in that area.
His name is Randy Oldfield and anyone who’s from
that area knows this courageous young man.

So? I believed that his Father died and I felt
really bad for the family because I knew it’s very
hard to handle a young man in a wheel chair and this
would definitely killed Randy’s mom!
I listen to the news at 6:00am but nothing! CFBC?

I had no choice but to phone the poor family!
I saw a Liberal MLA and borrowed his cell phone
and phoned the Family!
I must admit that I haven’t talked to the
Oldfield’s for a while.
The mother answered the phone and I asked her if
everything was ok?
She said - Yes everything is fine!
Boy? I was happy! If it would have been true that
her husband died? Well? Very little words can be said
in a situation like that.
The odd part is that her daughter also phone after
she saw the same news on television!
So I wasn’t the only one who got caught and I’m
very happy that I was dead wrong on this issue!
She told me that it was her worst nightmare if
something happened to her husband.
I told her to hug her husband in bed this evening
and that was the end of the conversation.

In 1986, I decided to look for work in Waltham
Mass, U.S.A.!
Before I left I told my friend Julien Leger that
when I return? I’ve have a 40 ounces of hard liquor.
I worked in the Boston area for over one year and
I received the news that Julien in his late 20s had a
terrible car accident and he was a vegetable in a
wheelchair.
I collected $500.00 from people in the Waltham
area and send it to the Family. Julien used to be to
best pool player in the Moncton area and now is a
vegetable.
Oscar LeBlanc in his mid 20s was planning to get
married and was an avid hunter in the woods. He had an
accident while driving his ATV. He’s now a vegetable
for the rest of his life!
In the early 1980s, Nicole Dupuis in her early
20s was a beautiful woman from Memramcook West. While
walking near the road with her friend Louise in the
Valley, she caught hit by a car and died! I had a
graduation picture from Nicole and you she wrote -
Charles, always keep your will power!
Tom Malone, a well liked person in the Valley. He
got electrocuted while doing his work and he quickly
died soon afterwards. He was in his late 20s.
Marise Poirier was a very nice person who worked
at a Super Market. In the 80s she quickly fainted and
died. She was in her early 20s!
Rheal Gautreau<> was a person who
really love to agitate everyone around his
surrounding. He loved sports! He died of Cancer in the
early 80s at the age of 23 years old!
Marcel LeBlanc <> was from Memramcook
Lake and he was well liked by his friends. He died in
a car accident. He was in his mid 20s!
Les Micros from Mmemramcook West! Two brothers
who loved the wild life. They both died in the 80s and
both were in their 20s and 30s.
Paul a Aurele another who love the wild life. He
quickly died in his early 30s.
Mathieu Landry a young handsome kid from
Mermramcook East decided to visit the world and drown
near Australia. His body was never found again.
Beautiful Mathieu was in his early 20s.
Thomas <> love the wild life and died
in a car accident. He was in his learly 30s.
Raoul LeBlanc and his sister Yvonne. Raould
committed suicide in his early 30s and his sister
Yvonne died of Cancer in her early 40s.
Jean Guy Dupuis <> a very good friend of
mine. He died of Cancer. Jean Guy was in his mid 40s <
with two little kids at home>
The Tingley family from Saint John who lost their
only child in a car accident. He was in his late teen!
Michel LeBlanc<> died in the 70s. Mike
wanted to visit the world and he drown in Swissland.
Mike was in his mid 20s.
Gaston from Lourde who also love the fast life
and he died in a car accident in the early 80s. Gaston
was in his mid 20s.
A young 10 year old<> drown in
the early 80 in the Village of Memramcook! He was 10
year old.
A Charles Leblanc from Saint Joseph drown in the
Memramcook River. He was in his mid teen.

died of cancer in his mid 40s.
Just a few weeks ago, Omer Dupuis from Lourde
died of cancer. He was in his mid 40s!
Donald Richard <> from College Bridge
died in his mid 20s!
Clovis a young girl of Charlotte a Paul Owen died
while being hit by a car. Clovis was 8 years old.
Remi Cormier was killed in a tragic school bus
accident a few months ago. Remi was 5 years old!
Guy Cormier, a young individual full of energy.
He died in a car crash! He was in his mid 20s.
One young guy<> was killed in
a tragic accident while working in Memramcook East. I
guess he was welding and blew himself up! He was in
his late 20s.
Another young man in his late teen was killed
while walking near the road in College Bridge. He was
in his late teens.
Marcel Cormier from Cormier Cove was a very
handsome and nice guy! He was in the Canadian Navy and
took a heart attach. Marcel was in his mid 20s!
Bernard a Allie from Memramcook East had a child
and beautiful wife. Bernard died in his early 40s from
a heart Attack.
Jean Guy< I forgot his last name. He live in the
corner of Saint Joseph and Meramcook. He took his own
life. Jean Guy was in his late 20s!
Romeo Cormier <> was very well like by
everyone in his own town of Pre D’en haut or Belliveau
Village died while being a passenger in a Dune Buggy.
They drove down a hill on a main road and hit a bear!
Romeo was really missed! Romeo was in his early 20s!
Conrad Cormier from College Bridge died in the
60s at a young age of 5 years old!
Farold<> used to run a pool room
in Mermramcook. He found out he had Cancer and took
his own life. He was in his mid 40s.
A happy young couple from Memramcook lost their
first child to Still born! The father hair turned
white over night. On a happy note? They were bless
with two beautiful young girls afterwards.
Ok…what is this all about you asked?
These are the people that I have known during my
44 years on this planet and I’m certain that you must
know a list of people yourself!
The bottom line is this! Think about it!
Life is so short! Enjoy it while you’re still on
this beautiful planet!

I AM VERY VERY VERY SORRY!!!!

I am very sorry for the update I sent you yesterday. I took a print out in the Priest office and my God it was terrrrrrrible!!!! It was full of mistakes. I wrote it very quickly at the Library and send it along. I promise! It won't happen again! My Priest picked me up this morning for Church and I'm once again in a good mood! This past week was a very bad one and I'm certain that Provincial Monisters Volpe and Green found that out the hard way! My God! I wish to congratulate Kyle O'Donnell for his excellent letter printed on February 3th, 2005 - Bullying at school led to suicide attempts. In the 70s, I was also bullyed and thank God that I had the size to fight back. I had ADHD but in those days no one knew about this energetic condition. In 1998, I found out I had ADHD. and I was very happy. It explained a lot of my actions but I would soon find out that society had a different outlook of ADD/ADHD! After publishing a letter in the paper, I received many phone calls from parents crying on the phone of the manner their kids were being treated in the school system. On June 17th, 2003, I began my six months protest in front of the Legislature. I collected 10,000 signatures asking the Government to study the issue of ADHD and Ritalin but to no avail. During my protest, I heard two teenagers who committed suicide after taking Ritalin. Why did they take their life away? It’s not the pills fault. It’s the labelling that goes with ADD/ADHD! It’s suppose to be a benefit having ADHD and not a disadvantage. I would hear sad tales from these very highly intelligent individuals that the kids in school would call them idiots or stupid. Their self esteem really takes a blow on their lives. We all know that kids can be cruel. I'll never forget the time a young child of 10 years old told his Father beside my tent- I know all about ADHD Dad! I said- Ahhh the childrens they know. He looked at his Father in a very serious face and said - THEY'RE ALL STUPID! I quickly replied - You see? That's one of the reason that I'm here for. Where did a young child learn that ADD/ADHD kids are stupid? I would love to confront the first person who called these highly intelligent kids Stupid. These ADD/ADHD kids are the target of many and nasty jokes. In the end, many of these kids will turn to heavy drugs or alcohol to escape their energetic mind! Why me they asked themselves??? What’s wrong with me???? Am I truly stupid because I have ADHD? It’s far from the truth. Any issues these kids will be involved in, they have the extra energy to go that extra mile to accomplish their goal in life. But unfortunately society will try to put a stop on these highly intelligent kids by labelling them for life. I know because I’m still battling some bureaucrats with this issue and will continue to do so till the day I die. They wish to bring in more teacher’s assistants but this is not the answer for these kids because the rest of the classroom notice little Jimmy having problems with his home work so therefore they begin to tease the poor child. Individuals with ADD/ADHD are very well known for their bad tempers. After a good old fashion fist fight, my whole body would be relaxed. All that hypertension is gone for a few long minutes. It felt so good but unfortunately, this can put some individual in very deep trouble with the law and in the end, they become the social outcast of society. We walk a very thin line between social outcasts or the socially accepted. May I suggest to Kyle O'Donnell that he takes Martial arts? What a great way to be able to defend yourself and be in control of your temper and mind. As long as the Lord Government is in power, the memo will be that it’s cheaper to drug our kids than to treat them with dignity! How many more lives must be taken away before the Government acts on this very emotional issue? Anyone out there who wishes to help me with this issue? Bullying at school led to suicide attempts
Dear Editor: I am 15 and am in Grade 10.
Up until Oct. 14, 2004, I attended Upper Miramichi Regional High School in Boiestown.
In Grade 3, I was diagnosed with ADD (Attention Deficit Disorder).
Many of my classmates and other students never gave me the chance to fit in. For as long as I can remember, my classmates and peers constantly harassed me: everything from rude comments and name-calling, to being physically abused (punched, kicked, slammed into lockers, etc.).
This bullying became so bad that by Grade 8 I was suffering from severe depression. This led to suicidal thoughts and eventually three actual suicide attempts.
I know that parents send many letters and make phone calls every day, complaining about the bullying in schools, but nothing is ever done about it.
School administration chooses to believe that it is not a problem in "their" school. In a recent article printed in this newspaper, I read about a 16-year-old boy that committed suicide due to bullying.
He was tormented about something as simple as the style of music he preferred. His mother made several attempts to get the problem corrected, but the school district's director of education only had this appalling comment: "We have bullying in all of our schools. Would I say it was any more in this school than in others? I would say no."
I feel that school administration at Upper Miramichi Regional High School also feels this way. Well, I'm sorry, but if it is happening to even one child then it is a problem. I feel that the five to six years of torment that I was put through could have been prevented if it was taken more seriously.
I finally made a decision to switch schools and I now attend Doaktown Consolidated High School. I am doing great, everyone is nice and any problems are taken serious and dealt with right away.
As I said before, parents frequently complain about bullying of their children, but nothing gets done.
So perhaps I, an actual victim of bullying, can give you an idea of what it is like.
It makes me sick to my stomach to go to school. I have become so paranoid that even the smallest noise makes me jump. I refuse to even walk by the houses of certain children. I don't sleep well. I have headaches and low self-esteem.
I am very nervous and anxious to the point that if I am in a restaurant, I usually have to leave before my food is ready, or go sit in the car.
My hands and legs shake and tremble constantly. If it weren't for my best friend Zach, and five years of counselling, I probably would have taken my life long ago.
So there's the idea. What can be done about it?

Now for you long time readers, you know I have been saying that many of these kids who are forced on Ritalin do commit suicide because they are labeled are Stupid or idiot! Trust me!!! I do know this for a fact! In my younger days, I was teased a lot and thank God that I had the Scottish Temper in me! I had many street fights and I almost killed a few people but I am never one to look for trouble! Trouble came to me and I would handle it! The police would be called but I would always be found not guilty because I defended myself! People with ADHD are very hyperactive and our self esteem can take a terrible downer!!!! I remember that after a fist fight? I felt so relax and good! I was calm!!! All that hyper tension was gone for a few minutes! My father owned a grocery store in Memramcook <> and he would always call me –Stupid!!! Stupid!! Stupid!!! At the end, believe that I was Stupid! I was really down on myself but I refused to join the wrong group <> The reason he called me Stupid??? I would asked questions before thinking what I was going to say! You can just imagine how hyper I was after eating all those chocolate bars! Yes, In this Province kids with ADHD are committing suicide and the Government don’t care! These kids are labeled in the classrooms! There’s one word that I really hate and that word is Teacher’s Aide!!!! Sh@t!!! How I hate that word!!! Kids are cruel and they see a young child having problems and after the class hours? They will call them Stupid because they’re on Ritalin or they see the teacher aides standing beside them!!!! I am going to write a letter to the Editor supporting that young child! Ok….what else???? Ohhhh I received a letter from the Ombudsman today concerning those racists members of the New Brunswick Human Right Commission. This is the letter-
Dear Mr. LeBlanc,
I am writing further to your most recent complaint about the handling of your case by the New Brunswick Human Rights (NBHRC) Commission. More specifically, you allege that the NBHRC acted improperly "by not having a face-to-face meeting with you after holding a face-to-face meeting with your former employer, Gulf Operators Ltd", in the investigation of your discrimination complaint.
In considering your complaint, I asked my legal advisor to review the Human Rights Act to determine whether the legislation requires a "face-to-face" meeting with the complainant or any other person. It appears from the Act that there is no requirement on the part of the NBHRC to hold a "face-to-face" meeting with any party in order to determine if a complaint is without merit (section 18).
I also examined my notes from last year when I had an opportunity to review your file at the NBHRC. Nothing in my notes indicates that the Commission or its Compliance Officer in Saint John had a face-to-face meeting with your former employer in the investigation of your complaint. In order to confirm this fact, I communicated with the NBHRC and it has been in fact confirmed that there was no face-to-face meeting with your former employer.
As is often the case, the employer was asked, by letter, to respond to the complaint and the employer responded by letter. There was also a telephone conversation between the Compliance Officer and a representative of the employer. Both parties were sent copies of the investigation report and invited to respond before it was presented to the Commission meeting.
My conclusion is therefore that the NBHRC followed established procedures in examining your complaint. Nothing in the Act requires it or its employees to hold face-to-face meetings with any party. I have been informed that a short face-to-face meeting did take place between yourself and the Commission's Compliance Officer after your complaint was filed and before the Commission made its decision. No such meeting took place with your former employer.
The NBHRC ultimately decided that there was insufficient evidence to establish that your lay-off was the result of discrimination on the part of your former employer.

I note with satisfaction that since your case, the NBHRC has altered its procedures in that in all cases the complainant is informed of the reasons why a complaint is found to be without merit.
Under the circumstances, your file at our Office is now closed.

When Mr.LeBlanc was interviewed by Gulf Operatorshe informed us he had ADHD and was taking Ritalintherewere medical limitations placed on Mr.LeBlanc. Weaccommodated Mr.LeBlanc disability by ensuring that hewas given jobs and duties that complied with hismedical limitations.

I chatted with someone from the Premier office this morning and told them that It really scares me of the way that the Government ignore the issue of Ritalin and attitude is starting to be really rude!!! The meeting last evening when ok…As I wrote yesterday, I was going to be very stern but I never expected to get angry! I was the first person at the mike but I took Mike number three! I would quickly find out that the Government is not really interested in listening to New Brunswickers concerns. A highly respected 72 years old Citizen name Weldon Fulton spoke on different issues until the bureaucrat who is in charge of the meeting told Mr. Fulton that he only had 30 seconds left! I shouted- LET THE MAN SPEAK!!! Well? Mr.Volpe the Minister of Finance gave me a stare and I believe that he knew that I was there for a reason and it was going to be a different Charles LeBlanc. I took the mike and told the Minister that I should have taken my Ritalin. I let it known that when the Liberals were in power? They toured the Province and New Brunswickers had more than three minutes to talk! The same procedure was done at the P.C. Annual meeting! The members only had two minute to speak! I guess from the Government stand point of view? One minute extra is good enough! Well? I let it known loud and clear to the Bureaucrats that what I had to say will take more than three minutes and if he doesn’t like it? Call the Police on your cell phone!!! I wasn’t leaving until I was done! I notice a bureaucrat from the Premier’s office attended the meeting and left after my little 15 minutes speech!!! Well? Yesterday afternoon, I wrote on a piece of paper what I was going to say and here they are! By the way? I am not a media hound! I really don’t care if the media covers my concerns or not but it goes to show you that these Irving employees are following orders from J.D. Irving to ignored me at any cost! I chatted for 15 minutes and not one issue was in the paper! It just proves my point when I called in talk shows that the Irving Gestapo newspapers will ignore certain people! The papers will not write about the issue of Ritalin because of Irving's orders with those racist members that Charles should be ingnored at any cost!!! Ok…I’m going to paste the issues and comments on each one!
1- Tell Volpe that I wasn’t going to attend the meeting but change my mind once I heard that Volpe told the Irving media that New Brunswickers must be happy! This is reason no one shows up!!!

I mentioned those racists but you will never see this in the Irving paper. I told the audience that this is Irving Final solution! Take control of the Compensation Board, those racist members of the New Brunswick Human Rights Commission and the media! This is the final solution!
8-Friday, small 5 years old child will be told to be on Ritalin! Health problem at the end for all New Brunswickers!Is it because it’s Charles LeBlanc that asks for a committee???

Finance Minister Jeannot Volpé has agreed to meet with Mayor Norm McFarlane and members of the Mayor's Task Force on Finance to answer any questions they might have about the city's financial challenges.
"This committee came up with some suggestions and we need somebody we can go to, to answer some questions for us," Mr. McFarlane told the minister.
Mr. Volpé said he would gladly sit down with finance committee members within the next few weeks.
The task force reported back to council on Monday with nine recommendations about how common council might deal with its long-term financial challenges.
Long-term projections show an annual shortfall of between $1.5 million and $2 million.
Mr. McFarlane was one of about two dozen people who turned out for Mr. Volpé's pre-budget tour. They took seats in about 200 chairs that had been placed around the gym at the Saint John campus of the New Brunswick Community College.
Mr. Volpé told the group that the low numbers might indicate people are happy with the job the government is doing.
Mr. McFarlane used the opportunity to stress the importance of everything from adequate funding of community colleges and universities, to the effort Saint John is making to clean up the harbour and the refurbishment of Point Lepreau.
The audience may have been small, but about half of those present addressed the minister, throwing a few bouquets his way, in addition to expressing concerns about health care, research and immigration challenges, to a suggestion of placing tolls on truckers to help pay for infrastructure
Saint John Board of Trade chairman Tony Gogan even asked if incentives for smart, proactive management to assist with one-time costs of changes to service-delivery might be considered.
But it was Mr. McFarlane's push for Point Lepreau refurbishment, which the province is considering, that brought one woman to her feet. (David Nickerson/Telegraph-Journal)Tammy Nadeau, a 20-year health-care worker at Rocmaura Nursing Home, thanked Finance Minister Jeannot Volpé for putting more money into senior care but told him more needs to be done.
"I wasn't going to do this, but I wasn't going to let the mayor get away with that," said Dorothy Dawson.
"I am absolutely stunned at the possibility that the power commission will undertake what they admit will be $1 billion knowing full well that when Lepreau was originally built it cost double what it was expected to cost.
"No refurbishment of a nuclear plant has ever been done for less than double the estimated cost and the whole province of New Brunswick will be holding the bag for that debt," she told the minister.
Tammy Nadeau, a 20-year health-care worker at Rocmaura Nursing Home, thanked the minister for putting more money into senior care but told him more needs to be done.
She also asked him to address staffing shortages.
"We want you to invest in their quality of life," she said.
Mr. Volpé said he understands nursing care is not what it used to be and knows of the challenges to nursing-home employees.
"We understand there's a pressure on our system.
"We've got to find the money within our budget. We're trying to deliver the best care at the cost we can live with and I know that it's a challenge to the employees," he said.
The meetings continue tonight in Fredericton.

And then there is poor Shawn Graham. The beleaguered Liberal leader has more knives in his back than the Amazing Blade Man at the circus. Sleuth hears word on the street is that Shawn's days are definitely numbered.
Liberal bagmen are saying fundraising is slower than molasses flowing uphill in January, the party brass are doubting Graham can project himself to voters as premier material, and the Liberals can't seem to make a dent in Lord's armour in the legislature. This is where the Irvings spread their evil views in that section! They print gossips about different political issues! Such as there are many knives in Shawn Graham back! His Leadership is in question? Well? Unfortunately, I am at the Legislature every single day and I chat with a lot of politicians and never once, I REPEAT- NEVER ONCE!!! Have I heard questions about Shawn Graham Leadership! I must admit that at first, I wasn’t certain about Shawn but I seen him in action and during the last few months he’s been very good debating issues. He’s very calm and cool! At first, I would always say that he needs to take his Ritalin because he’s hyper!!!..lol.. Agree that Volpe is wasting taxpayers’ money. The intricacies of the provincial budget are not easily understood to make worthwhile input on the spot. This is just a road show and smokescreen. 7- Last summer the big news on the radio was that they found millions of dollars worth of drugs(cocaine I think)on the bottom of an Irving Ship. We haven't heard a thing about it since. I wonder if they are exempt from the Justice system also? Rules are different for the Irvings and living in NBwe all know this to be true. So owning the paper gave them the advantage again. Ok..not much going on but I did learn something
new last week! I was chatting with someone who works
for the Federal Government on Forestry.
Did you know that there is no such thing as
original Crown land?
He told me that all of all crown land has already
been clear-cut! I didn’t know this and I find it
amazing and we have cut all of our crown land!
Ok.. The Minister of Finance is once again going
around the Province to listen to New Brunswickers

He has all his staff in high paying motel and

Oppps getting angry again…
I met the Boyfriend of the new Chairperson of the
Human Rights Commisison. His name is Eric Mackenzie
and I was surprised that he chatted with me? Maybe he
doesn’t read my updates!
Yesterday, I was walking around with a young girl
from Japan! She’s doing a story on me and followed me
with a video camera around the Legislature and inside
the premises. I believe it will be on the Internet in
the near future.
We talked about the Evil Irving Empire and those
racist members at the Comission but I don’t believe
she will used those statements in her story! Lets not
forget that the Irvings gave Millions of dollars to
train those young Journalists! They must gave their
soul and mind to the Evil Irving Empire!!!! Sure look
like Germany all over again!!!!
She sent me this little note of what she’s going
to share with her classmates. Here it is-
On a beautiful Monday afternoon, the sun comes in
through the window on the legislature building. He
sits at the computer in the library as usual
after the weekend that he hates.
He starts typing with his index fingers
and sends messages through the world.
Charles LeBlanc was born of an Acadian French
father and Scottish mother.
He is an energetic 45-year old man with light
blue-colored eyes and light brown hair. People in
Fredericton have become familiar with him since he
moved from Saint John in 2003.
He is the man who spent 180 days living in a
tent on the lawn of the legislature to represent the
rights of kids who have ADHD.
Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD) is
an overactive and inattentive mental condition
starting in childhood.
Doctors often prescribe the drug Ritalin to
increase attentiveness and decrease hyperactivity.
When he first found out that he had ADHD? He wrote
a letter in the Reader of the Telegraph Journal. They
put his picture on the front page and said Charles
LeBlanc deals with ADHD.
He received over 40 calls from the parents having
kids with ADHD, crying. They told him that they
noticed how their kids had been treated by school
system.
His pharmacist friend told him last year there
were
4,000 Ritalins prescribed in a 10 month period. This
is only from one Pharmacy only in the Saint John area.
He estimates over 10,000 kids has been diagnosed
and forced to be on Ritalin. He adds many of these
kids are on Ritalin and don't have ADD or ADHD!
As an adult taking Ritalin, we are known to be
limited, he says. My question is that why they are
giving Ritalin to children.
He thinks that ADHD is over-diagnosed and that
doctors shouldn't prescribe Ritalin to so many
children.
Because they will have a limited future.
What has to be talked is about children, he
says. They have a full of energy to be employed. They
should not be limited.
Charles Leblanc has ADHD. He was diagnosed six
years ago after years of having difficulties in his
various jobs because of his high energy levels. He has
experiences been fired because of his energetic
attitude.
He earned lower wages even he worked as much as
others.
When I found out I had ADHD, I was so happy. he
says. I was dancing in the air. I thought ADHD was an
advantage, not a disability.
He noticed, however, the public had a different
version about ADHD.
People having ADHD and being on Ritalin, are
limited. Some of them are not allowed to drive a car,
for example. He decided to bring his concern
to the government.
I want the government to study on the issue of
Ritalin,he says.
They woke up a sleeping giant.
In 2001, his friend gave him a idea to bring
awareness to the issue of Ritalin. Why not pitch a
tent
on the front lawn of the Legislature?
The following summer, he carried out the idea for
12 days. He was on a hunger strike and the Government
quickly forced him from the lawn.
He restarted camping at the same place on June 17,
2003. Two weeks would be enough, he expected. But, it
took 180 days until a minister invited him to a
meeting to address his concern.
In my mind, thousands of kids were crying and
asking for help in front of my tent. This is what kept
me going.
He submitted a petition with 10,000 signatures.
Some people agreed with him, but they didn’t sign
on his petition and said they worked for the
government.
He found Fredericton was a bureaucratic
white-collar city.
When you do something like this, you make a lot of
enemies, he says.
That is not everyone who's gonna support what
you're doing.
He had camped on the lawn for 40 days before the
Brunswickan covered the issue for the first time.
Nobody knew he was still there.
The Daily Gleaner took 50 days to cover him
protesting at the legislature.
The next day, it reported someone took his tent.
The following day, they wrote that a person gave
him another tent.
LeBlanc says those coverings made him easier to
correct signatures. They raised people awareness.
One of his means of protesting is making people
aware of the issue. He aims at educating the public
what is going on here.
When a politician found out his grand daughter had
ADHD, he decided not to get her Ritalin because of
LeBlanc.
I succeeded one person not to be on this pill,
he says. I did my job.
He is hoping to publish a book titled - The last
of
the true protesters.
It is all about the protest at the legislature.
People wouldn't imagine themselves living in a
weather-beaten tent.
He doesn't expect someone would copy him camping
in
front of the legislature over six months.
He imagines what the long-term effect would be. He
says ADHD itself doesn't scare us, but taking Ritalin.
Prescription of drug is the major problem in this
province he says.
It has to be addressed. What kind of kids we will
have in the next generation is that they are all high
on drugs???
They are not my kids and I will never see them, he
says. But I will fight for them. This is all for kids,
not me.
Making a living is not easy for him. He is now
living in a boarding house with a TV and a
shared-shower.
To keep himself being occupied, he goes to the
library in the legislature to check his emails,
follows the news, volunteers at the soup kitchen,
and walks around the city to see people.
I don’t like weekends because nobody is on the
streets he says.
Over 600 names are on the list to send email back
and forth. He never misses updating his homepage
telling viewers what the protest is not done but
continues on the Information Highway.
He won’t pitch a tent there any more, but he’ll
keep on protesting but in a different style.
How long I’m gonna go at it? He questioned
himself?
I don’t know. But, my strong faith keeps me going.
I am a strong believer there is a reason for
everything!
What my reason??? I just don’t know.
I’m gonna live here for a long time because when
my Day of my judgment arrives?
I’m gonna ask him a lot of questions and I don’t
believe that he wants to listen to me. I might be here
for a long while yet!

Two different Cities but two different Countries? In the late 80s, I began to work at the shipyardin Saint John. It was 10 years of good money and a very high standard of living. A few workers would take the bus to work and we would say - You take the bus??? With all that moneyyou make??? I remember a few workers couldn’t understand the reason that some of our taxes would go towards thewelfare system! The good old days came to an abrupt end on July 19th, 1996. The Shipyard closed its doors and many workers received a rude awakening. Carolyn McNaulty at Romeo House <> received many phone callsfrom many former shipyard workers in need of help. It was a very difficult financial adjustment. The days of going to the restaurants were over and months afterwards, many would instead go to the SoupKitchen. Saint John always had their share of poor citizens but after the closure of the Shipyard? The numbers grew. On June 17, 2003, I began my six months tent protest in front of the Legislature and quickly learned there’s a big difference in attitude between the City of Saint John and Fredericton. The Loyalist City has a Blue Collar attitudetherefore more open minded than the Capital. During my first evening, I heard someone shouting at an individual. The reason? He was going through a garbage bin collecting empties. Of course, in Saint John this would be a normal picture and no one will condemn the act. On July 2nd, I decided to go to Officer’s Square andwatch the morning sunrise. While walking near a dumpster someone popped theirhead out like a Jack in the box. He had a cardboard boxover his head. He was collecting empty bottles from thecelebration of the evening before. He said that he makes only makes $264.00 an month and that’s notenough to survive on. He came by my tent and told me that he collected$92.00 in bottles and went home happy! It’s called –Survival! I would soon found out there was a Soup Kitchenlocated in the Western Part of the City. Every evening, I would make my little walk to this needy place. Once there, I notice that the volunteers were veryfriendly and George Pierse is really in charge of thegoing on around the Kitchen. They served two meals a day and I might add you caneat all your stomach can take. While in Saint John, The soup Kitchen would serveyou one meal a day between 10:00am and 1:00pm! Evenpoor people do get hungry in the evenings. I might add that the St-Andrew-St-David Churchserves dinner once a month and the place is full ofpoor people. Many would ask for seconds to take home.
The summer of 2003, I read in thepaper that former Mayor - Shirley McAlary announced that theopening of the Harbour Passage was a huge successbecause they gave away 500 to 800 hotdogs! Excuse me?PEOPLE ARE HUNGRY!!! Why do some poor families go hungry in one Citywhile the other is full? That’s the emotionalquestion? I would soon find out the Shelter and the SoupKitchen are the area of the less Fortunate. The poorsouls can do their drugs or alcohol around the building. No one will bother them as long they stay inthat area! Compare to Saint John this is a good idea. It’s their property and the Police won’t bother anyone. I would soon find out that the Transit system is very bad in the Capital compare to Saint John. I heard a sad story of a young woman who had an interview for a job but she couldn’t attend because she had to wait 3 hours for the next bus! Of course,the attitude must be the same of my shipyard days?They must say- You take the bus??? What’s wrong withyou? Don’t you have any bureaucratic friends? The bus system is much better in Saint John. The Food bank in the Capital islocated in a high class neighborhood.<> In Saint John these helpful locations are locatedin the area of the poor population. In the Capital, the homeless have no place to goso they can escape the cold winter winds.<> In Saint John, the Salvation Army has a placewhere these poor individual can have a coffee or playsome pool! Once a person is evicted from a mall?There’s not too many place a person can go. The Salvation Army in Saint John would charge$7.50 a night for accommodation compare to the Capitalwho will take someone free of charge for a fewevenings. In the Capital, if a person is down on their luck,They have to lower their pride and asked theGovernment for assistance. They have open cubicles at the Family Servicesbuilding where everyone can hear your personalbusiness compare to Saint John were these privateconversations are done in a private atmosphere!! I could go on and on. Yes! We do live in two different Cities and wehave our different way of the matter the poor are toobe treated but from the point I see it? It sure looks like we’re living in two different countries!

Here’s a email from a girl who just lost her Uncle. There was no funeral because that’s the way he wanted it! In her words-
Actually he was 79 with one lung. I know that he was up in age, and I know that he had a good life. But people like him are far and very few in between. If I could have met a man like him, I would never have settled for the piece of shit that I did marry. He was a gem. He was there for my family through the roughest part of our lives, when my grandmother died. He was there. Through everything he was there. And even when we hadn't asked him to be, he was there anyhow. He was always there, like an angel. I have to say that heaven scored this time. They really do have a TRUE angel up there now. Right up there beside my grandmother. You know, I don't know one person that could ever say anything bad about him either. And if he had have had a funeral, you probably would have had to pick a number or buy tickets to get in to see him. I'm positive that it would have been a full house. In fact I would bet my life on it and the lives of my children. He truly was a living angel. I wish that you had met him. You would have called him a saint. We feel for him, probably the same way that you do the priest. We are very close, and we love him a lot. So, whether he was 79 with one lung or not, this truly is quite a loss. BELIEVE ME!!

1- Another Irving story for your mailing list: "On April 3, 1986, two meetings took place in Perth Andover, New Brunswick. One meeting was quite large. Over 250 farmers crowded the school gym to talk about the price support programs for potatoes, a national marketing plan, and the stand New Brunswick had taken on these issues. These farmers were worried about the future of their farms and over their own place in an increasingly McCain dominated potato industry. Hazen Myers, New Brunswick's Minister of Agriculture, was supposed to attend this large public forum but backed out the day before. The other meeting was quite different. A few shippers and representatives of the Seed Growers Association met discretely in a small motel with members of the New Brunswick Potato Agency. Three conservative MLA's were in attendance. "In the summer of 1971, the crew members of six ships connected to the Irving empire were trying to get their union certiifed as their bargaining agent. 11- In response to your request, I would just say that thegovernment of Canada ought to investigate the efficacyof Ritalin in a test apart from the clinical trialprocess.
Such a test is necessary because many clinicalresearchers who conduct clinical trials receive stockin the funding company, which is usually the companywhich will produce the drug. The possibility that theresearcher may see economic benefits - even anincreased quality of life - should they publiclyendorse the drug can lead to very real bias, includingmisrepresentations of the data from the trial.
There have been studies with regards to the levels ofbias in clinical trials & even in the most reputablemedical journals bias in clinical trials exceeds 80%.Which is to say, over 80% of the published trials arebiased owing to the researchers predispositions tofavour the tested drug.

He tells me that he is stupid, and I try to tell him he's not, he just needs to try harder. He is very smart, just can't get it on paper, he is more worried about playing. He was on meds and I took him off. Told his teacher we changed them, and to tell me if she sees a differents and she has not, his been off of them for 3 months now. and I see no differents at home. He is a very sad little boy and I don't know what to do for him.

15-FROM A MOM IN FREDERICTON-
Hi Charlie,AGAIN I am fighting with ????s school. On Friday they sent a note home saying that they have a teacher's assistant in to work with ????l SPECIFICALLY for a half an hour every day. I was unaware of this until I received the note home on Friday. When I asked my sonl about it, he told me that Mrs.????? works with him and none of the other class mates. HE KNOWS THAT HE'S BEING SINGLED OUT!!!!! This could cause him psychological damage if this continues. I AM FURIOUS!!! I sent a letter to the school today about my inappreciation of them taking the initiative and making decisions about my son with out notifying me first and without my permission. I'm telling you... when I sent him to Kindergarten, I assumed that it was supposed to be a wonderful experience for him. Now I'm fully aware, that instead of sending him to Kindergarten that I have in FACT thrown my child to the wolves!!! I am so angry, and FED UP!!!! My poor, poor child. What can I do?

20- I was a little too harsh, I think. I'm sorry I was rude. I think you're very wrong about the Holocaust and Hitler comparisons, and wrong about the NB Human Rights Commission, and I'll keep holding you accountable, but I am sorry about the name-calling, and I won't do that again.
Here's why I feel so strongly: I know Holocaust survivors, and I know it hurts them deeply when people compare things to the Holocaust or compare politicians to Hitler. Lots of Canadian politicians and business people have been bad for people, especially workers and the poor, but none is comparable to Hitler. Second, I know people who have worked for the Human Rights Commission. They work their hearts out for victims of discrimination, and they're not corrupt, and I hate to see you treat them all with such disrespect. Third, I know two people who've won their human rights complaints, so I know if there was no Commission (like you wish for), people like them would have nowhere to turn.
Not trying to take back my apology, just trying to explain where I'm coming from.

If there are “serious human rights abuses all over the planet’ does that mean discrimination which leads to loss of one’s job in NB is OK. Oh please! All the more reason that HRC needs to be re-hauled so that it protects people’s rights and not brow beat them. Mr. Lord is having impact on every institution of this province, as he is good at brow beating especially that of victims of Lord Govt such as Mr. Burke. Yes current Commission should be abolished and real one should be established.

Would Commission like to give some examples where it actually protected minorities? Is that minority Govt of the day? As they are fewer in number than entire population of the province. Yes Commission does protect Govt if it qualifies as a minority. We need to abolish the Commission, as it exists today, and put one in place which is sincere to its mandate and is able to carry out its mandate. Talking about politics, current chair has deep Tory connections.

You were right on the money when you said that Irving controls the WHSCC. I am going to share with you a quick story about how this legislation works and who it worked for. It was put in place originally to protect the worker...lol. The legislation goes something like this:
1) The Employer has the right to terminate an injured worker after 1 year if he employs 50 Employees or less.
2) The Employer has the right to terminate an injured worker after 2 years if he employs 50 Employees or more Let me share a very small portion of the misery that we have been put through since my husbands injury and in my opinion who the legislation was meant for.
My husband worked for the Empire and injured his back in 1988. The first operation was a spinal fusion. He returned to work on a gradual return to work program and during that time his fusion collapsed while working.
The second operation was another fusion but this time they inserted a tense like machine with metal plates, screws and wires which my husband was thefirst one to receive in NB. The third operation was the emergency removal of this device and hardware due to infection.
The forth operation was on his shoulder.
As I said my husband had returned to work and was working when the fusion collapsed, so while he was recuperating from his second operation the letter arrived stating that he had been terminated effective 2 months before the 2 years were up from the last time that he worked. I tried to fight it because it really took a toll on my husband who loved to work.
It also began his initial depression which later became severe.
They had no record of him returning to work and at the time I couldn't find any proof. Well I have it now, 11 years later. The ironic thing is that I found the proof while packing up my home which we are losing because of my husbandsinjury. Like I said our story is a long and dirty one which I won't get into today.
I must tell you that I have worked fulltime for 25 years now and I make $40,000.00 a year and I have been financially raped because my husband is an injured worker.
Since the Empire could not locate his fileand they denied that he had ever returned to work, my husband lost out on his vacation pay and whatever else that they would of owed him at the time.
So what protection was in place for the injured worker? NONE! Why was the Empire allowed to even terminate him illegally and get away with it?
I hear a lot of good things said about Frank McKenna but I know that we will never share their views!

I don’t feel like writing today but I guess I can say that I phoned the program Voice of the Province last evening and told Andy Scott <> thatthe Irvings should be investigated of the way that own all the newspapers in this Province.
I even compared them to Hilter in Germany but the host quickly told me that I can’t compared the Irvingsto Hitler but I said – Hitler took control of themedia and the same is done in this small province.
The reruns of the program will showed this weekend at 3:00pm on Rogers.
I did the same action this morning on CFBC! I talked about the Irvings and those racist members ofthe New Brunswick Human Rights Commission. I told the host - I won’t mention no names butI’ll say is that he’s black and he’s a councillor onCommon Council! <>…lol… Anyway, I told the audience that Carl White andthe Commission should be eliminated in the year 2005because they are truly useless for New Brunswickers! 1-You were right on the money when you said thatIrving controls the WHSCC.I am going to share with you a quick story about howthis legislation works and who it worked for. It wasput in place originally to protect theworker...lol. The legislation goes something likethis:1) The Employer has the right to terminate an injuredworker after 1 yearsif he employs 50 Employees or less.2) The Employer has the right to terminate an injuredworker after 2years if he employs 50 Employees or moreLet me share a very small portion of the misery thatwe have been putthrough since my husbands injury and in my opinion whothe legislation was meant for.My husband worked for the Empire and injured his backin 1988. The first operation was a spinal fusion. Hereturned to work on a gradual return to work programand during that time his fusion colasped whileworking. The second operation was another fusion but this timethey inserted a tense like machine with metal plates,screws and wires which my husband was the first one toreceive in NB. The third operation was the emergency removal of this device and hardware due to infection. The forth operation was on his shoulder.As I said my husband had returned to work and wasworking when the fusion colasped, so while he wasrecouperating from his second operation theletter arrived stating that he had been terminatedeffective 2 months before the 2 years were up from thelast time that he worked. I tried to fight it becauseit really took a toll on my husband who loved to work. It also began his initial depression which laterbecame severe. They had no record of him returning towork and at the time I couldn't find any proof.Well I have it now, 11 years later. 2-As far as Irving goes he controls way too much foronly employing 8% of this Province. Maybe othercompanies given the same breaks as the Irvings get could do the same but this is not whathappens, its all given to Irvings. Its like you sayits their way or nothing. Just ask an ex-Irvingemployee or a retired one and not too many have goodthings to say of their Empire. They can have it!!!!!!

3-Charles; Please read and don't make up what you wish tosee. The Ombudsman said that he had been asked to lookat the issue of the overuse of Ritalin -"NOT"TO DO A STUDY!!


4-Here you go again!I think you only care about prejudice when it'sprejudice against you. You oppose anti-French prejudice, and anti-ADHD prejudice,and prejudice against the unemployed or against smokers, but you've got noproblem with people who blame T.J. Burke for the premier's racist commentsagainst him.And now you're back to comments that make light of theHolocaust. The Final Solution was a plan to exterminate Jews just becausethey were Jews, and the Gestapo executed that plan. Do you understand thatunder the Final Solution more than six million people who killed just becauseof their ethnicity? Reading between thelines, it looks to me like you complained you were fired because of yourADHD (discrimination based on disability), and your complaint was rejectedbecause their investigation showed you were fired because of yourinsubordination and not because of discrimination. Isn't that true? If youhave evidence that anyone associated with Irving bribed anyone associated withthe Commission, produce it or stop making it up.


5- How could you prove your racism complaint when theydidn't even talk toyou? This is where they need to look at the wholepicture.

7-I noticed that you did not write the amount ofpeople served at your soupkitchen yesterday. Is there a reason for that? Ithink on the very colddays you should also ask the readers to pray for thehomeless. I cannotstop thinking of how cold they must be. I have alwaysthought of theanimals outside and not really knowing that we hadthat many homelesspeople or even any for that matter, but I never use tothink of the peopleoutside. Now thats all I can think about. It's hardgrowing up andrealizing just how real thing are.
