People who live along a residential street in Fredericton are mourning the loss of the trees that have shaded their community for almost half a century.
"I am sick. I really am," said Glenda Turner, a longtime resident of Squires Street. "These trees were here when we moved here in 1978 and they have made the character of the street."
Eighteen Linden trees are being torn down along the street after their roots were damaged last week.
