I PREDICT LINDSAY GALLANT TO BE A GOOD ELECTED OFFICIAL IN THE FUTURE!!!
POWER OF THE BLOGGER!!
SEAN O'SHAUGHNESSY JOINS OUR TEAM!!!!
I first met Sean in the early 90s. He wrote a letter about posting the Canadian Flag on top of the Saint Joseph cemetery. I join his cause and together we succeeded. Here's a few picture of the flag.
First of all, a big thank you to Charles and WCIE for allowing me to contribute the odd article now and then on their blog site, from time to time. Do I know what I'm going to be writing about, No. But as I write this, I have a few topics burning away in the back of my mind that I want to unload, and get of my chest. The best I am hoping to do actually will be to make people think just a little bit, about this and that and the other thing, from time to time.
Am I a professional Writer No. I've had to write in a Jam during my days as a broadcaster mostly at good old 93 CFBC AM and their sister FM Operation C-98 Saint Johns Easy Rock. Anybody still around remember those days ?
Was Born in Toronto, moved to the Maritimes when I was a kid, graduated from Old Saint John Vocational School in 1968, went stateside and served Uncle Sam from late June 1968, until January 1969, and was rotated back home when It was discovered I had lied about age to enter. Legal age was 17 to join with parental or Legal Guardian Consent. I had an Uncle and no his name wasn't Sam, who was an American Citizen and signed as my Legal Guardian.
I don't know if any of you remember the time, an International Incident arose when A Crazy Canuck one Time Hoisted the Canadian Flag in Da Nang, Republic of South Vietnam :>) And the International Press and Media jumped all over it. Let's just say, to this day I'm not on any Political Party Invitation Lists for cocktails and crumpets, and let your Imagination run wild on the above I just wrote.
Am I nuts, you bet, crazier than a bed bug actually. Did 2 stays in 4 D North the Nut Ward out at the Saint John Regional Hospital foe PTSD and Chronic Depression. I think I set the all time record for ECT Treatments, otherwise known as Shock Treatments. If the province should ever run out of Power, all they'll ever have to do is hand me 2 electrodes, I'll place the Positive Lead on my heads Left Side, and the Negative on the Right Side, and we'll have more than enough Juice to keep New Brunswick Hummin` 24/7 well into the year 2525. Anybody remember that One Hit Wonder by Zager & Evans from 1969 ?
My punctuation leaves a lot to be desired, as if you haven't already figured that out by now. All Joking aside, I suffer from short term memory loss as a result from the ECT's, and some of the Medication I've been on for the past 15 years after being declared legally Disabled due to a Sever And Pro-Longed Condition by Health And Welfare Canada.
The Condition is Degenerative Osteo Arthritis, located primarily at the neck C7 Disk area. Vert difficult to treat because that Particular Disk is so very Close to the Central Nervous System, and if the Doctors go playing around the Central Nervous System, instead of using a cane to walk with, I could be in a wheel chair.
Behind the Computer, I have 2 Neck Braces I have to wear. One a Hard Shell Neck Brace, the other a Soft Shell Neck Brace. Am I going to stop Living, and to stop doing some of the things I used to do before getting nailed with this condition back in late 1989 and 1990. No Way, I going to Ride Life Out Until The Wheels Fall Off.
Will you agree on the material I'm going write when I do, more than likely not. Will it bother me that you don't agree with me NO. Will I take any Low Blow Shots at anybody or any groups NO.
Why am I writing, again all joking aside, One Of My Doctors Advised Me to.
Respectfully
Sean O`
Here's my first blog-
January 21, 2006
Very Shortly Saint John City Police will be switching over to Lap Top Computer Communications. As I understand it to the best of my ability, the initial switch over is going to be part of the North End Anti Crime Spree or whatever their calling it. Needless to say some people like myself who are Scanner Hobbyists and enthusiasts, could end up listening to white noise, when the switch over takes place. This by the way was in the Newspaper a few months back.
The main reason I got interested in listening to Police And Fire Communications is this. Some of the people I grew up with here in the Saint John area, are either still on the Police Force, or the Fire Department. I've read enough communications magazines to know, it's hard to tell whether the Criminal Element are using Scanners as tools of the trade here in Saint John, and whether or not the Criminal Element outnumbers the Law Abiding Citizen who listen to our Men And Woman who serve and protect, not because we're Nosy or New Bags, we have no Live News Media anymore during the evening and overnight hours anymore. In some bigger cities, the Criminal Element Out Numbers the Law Abiding Citizens who listen. Some Police Officers have even bought scanners for their Parents to listen to, so the parents will know thie son or daughter is doing OK while on Duty.
I think our law enforcement agencies should have scrambled communications for Personal Safety " In my Pesonal Opinion Only. The media in the states where Scrambled Communications are in effect now in some cities and Localities, have either bought a Police Radio, or rented one for their respective News Rooms.
What Say You.

HAVE ANYONE HEARD ANYTHING ABOUT THIS STORY????
Received this from Tim Smith yesterday but nothing in the papers!!!!
Hey I tried looking on msn a couple of times to see if you were on but as of yet no luck so I'll just try to fill you in.....
My sister called me and told me they have a jumper on the walk bridge that goes over the highway from city road to celebration street he is on the top side of the fence that wraps the bridge and has a teather tied to him and clipped to the caged fencing he is holding a big sign on a poll it is dark green in color with the words 1 answer 1 vote (????) I didn't know what that stood for so anyway I decided to go right up underneath the walk bridge on the highway to get close enough to read the sign and to hear some of what he might be saying ....From what I gather he is wanting to talk to Brad Green also I was to learn he has done this sort of thing in the past but on a different bridge it is now 2pm which is around the 5th hour or so of this standoff.
The traffic is not running on that part of the highway as if he jumps he has just enough rope that he would hang at the level of being hit by a passing truck or large vehicle.
Anyhow I know your not blogging but I'm sending this your way anyway he is about our age about 180lbs dark hair and beard.

GOD'S MINUTE!!!
FOR WE DO NOT HAVE A HIGH PRIEST WHO CANNOT
SYMPATHIZE WITH OUR WEAKNESSES, BUT WAS IN
ALL POINTS TEMPTED AS WE ARE, YET WITHOUT SIN.
( HEBREWS 4:15 *NKJV )
Dear Charles,
Jesus was like us in that He experienced many
temptations while He walked this earth in the flesh. For
an example read LUKE 4:1-13. We may therefore take
comfort in knowing that He faced temptations and
understands what it is like to be tempted! We can also
be encouraged knowing that He faced them without giving
in. Thus He showed us that we could likewise avoid sins
when we are faced with the seductive lures of this World
as well!
After all; NO TEMPTATION HAS OVERTAKEN YOU
EXCEPT SUCH IS COMMON TO MAN; BUT GOD IS
FAITHFUL, WHO WILL NOT ALLOW YOU TO BE
TEMPTED BEYOND WHAT YOU ARE ABLE, BUT WITH
THE TEMPTATION WILL ALSO MAKE A WAY OF
ESCAPE, THAT YOU MAY BE ABLE TO BEAR IT.
( 1 CORINTHIANS 10:13 )
Now Jesus' doesn't expect us to live perfect lives thus
avoiding all sins. He knows that to be of the flesh is to be
of a sinful nature. He does however expect us to do our
very best in resisting such temptations, and when we fail
God offers us the opportunity to repent and seek forgiveness.
So Charles, truly do the best that you can, and remember
that God will still love you if you slip once in a while! For as
the Poet wrote:
For nobody's perfect, once there was One
Sinless and blameless, Whose message
was love,
...But the people crucified Him!

MY LAST 24 HOURS WAS A BUSY ONE!!!!
I worked the poll yesterday and trust me?
It was a busy long day!
It’s started at 8:30am and it was very steady all day long.
My job was the information Officer.
I would be the first individual the voters would be confronted with once they walked through the door of the polling station.
Being Charles? I had some fun.
I would meet them by saying- Bonjour!! Hello!!!! You came here to vote?
Can I see your card?
Many of them would come up with sad excuses that they forgot their card.
I would say - That’s a darn shame!
Can you remain silent for the next two to three years?
They sorta give you a surprise look and many would said - Huh???
I continued- Well? If you don’t vote? You have to remain silent for two to three years?
Being a professional who confronted thousands of people during my six months protest?
I knew when to say- You don’t look like the silent type. We better find out where you can vote.
All in fun!
Many laughed and a few still remain puzzled but I had them thinking…lol….
It was steady all day long and I knew that the worst was yet to come after quitting time and I was right.
My ADHD sure came in handy.
I talked and talked and made certain that I directed everyone to the right polling station.
It was a good day because never once and I mean never once did my near close to death experience came to my mind.
This was the place that I walked when I almost got hit by a car and this is the area that I slip.

Last evening, those flashbacks came back and I had an awful headache.
I can just imagine the tire driving over my head.
It was terrible!!!!
After I got home, I immediately phoned my cousin to find out if she was ok because she and others took Chico’s death very very very hard.
Trust me, I’m waiting for her to write a detail account of what happen to Chico and then look out!
I have another individual in Saint John investigating the details and I will make the pet doctor name public in this blog.
I am going to confront the Generals in the Capital about this issue.
Sorry…jumping story here.
I went into Andy Scott party and met a few people. One individual was my hero investigative reporter in New Brunswick.
This is Robert Jones from CBC.
I always like his work.
I noticed that a few reporters were a little uncomfortable with my camera but that’s a blogger!!!
We take picture and we’re the reporter, columnist and editor.
We don’t have to go through different people to get a picture or story printed.
What we think? It’s what gets printed and that’s the way it is!
Too bad that I didn’t get paid for this!
After my very close call with death, this just enforced my drive to continue and pursuing stories for my blog.
In my mind? I’m supposed to be dead so therefore I’m just living on borrowed time. So? The battle will continue!
Which reminds moi? I’m going to phone the new editor of the letters to the editor to find out who the new individual is? Stay tune? The persom might hang up the phone in my ear because my letter never got printed.
What I really enjoyed yesterday is that my five ADHD brains were focused on my work and I had no time to think about other issues and this is good.
If I’m not working? I got too much time on my hand so therefore I go on the streets and searched for stories.
My prediction of the Federal election was this-
P.C. – 123
Lib - 112
BQ - 40
NDP - 31
Ind - 2
Total= 308 seats!
The results are
CON 124 0 36.25%
LIB 103 0 30.22%
BQ 51 0 10.48%
NDP 29 0 17.49%
IND 1 0 .52%
OTH 0 0 5.05%

So? I believe that I didn't do that badly!!!!...lol
I guess that I came close and I’m glad it turned out this way because Canadians have sent a message for Stephen Harper to clean up a few dirty bureaucrats in the Capital and with a Minority?
He cannot rule with an iron fist!
Lets see what’s going to happen?
Canadians have sent a clear message!
The message is - We don’t want to see you in two years from now!!!!
Get along in the Nation’s Capital and work things out among yourself!
The bloglling of the Canadian Federal Election is over and now I can blog on other issues.
