I decided to make an appearance at the Levee held by Lt.-Gov. Herménégilde Chiasson.
I knew it wasn’t a place for me but I went anyway.
Talk about class??? Ugh...Too much for this guy.
But being Charles, I decided to have some fun with the Lieutenant Governor while I was there.
I walked in and immediately went in the hallway and took a picture.
I asked his Royal Highness if I could take a picture of him and his wife?
He said- For your website??? Everyone knows about it I guess . . . lol.
I shook his hand and wished him and his wife une Bonne Heureuse Annee.
I added - Will you find some money to finish painting the flag pole out front during the year 2007?
He smiled and said he’ll look into it.
You can read pass blogs on this issue by clicking below. Lol . . .
Once inside, I felt a little out of place. Since me mother is from Scotland? One day, I should show up at an event like this guy?...lol

I noticed the Queen of the Liberals Tony Barry was there with her friend.
It was a high class event but it was nice.
I took a few pictures and decided to leave.
The Lieutenant Governor told me the Irvings gave them the Christmas Tree.
It’s the largest Christmas tree I ever saw in a building. I wonder where the Irvings got that one?
I chatted a few minutes with the Royal Couple and left.
I said - I’m doing you people a favor? I’m leaving . . . lol . . .
Herménégilde Chiasson has 20 months left in his term and he’s a nice guy.
One issue for the life of me I don’t understand.
Why are there all kinds of security for the Lieutenant Governor???
Premier Shawn Graham doesn’t have that kind of security and he’s the Premier of New Brunswick.
I never been a fan of the Governor General or Lieutenant Governor because I believe it’s a waste of money.
I remember when Romeo LeBlanc came to Saint John? They blocked off all downtown. It just doesn’t make any sense.
But what the heck do I know?
Once again, Herménégilde Chiasson and his wife Marcia wishes everyone a very Happy New Year et Bonne Heureuse Annee!!!!
Lt.-Gov. Herménégilde Chiasson and his wife Marcia wishes everyone a Happy New Year et Bonne Heureuse Annee!!!!
I must admit that Bernard Lord made a good move when he appointed this guy. He plays the role like a pro. He's very friendly.
WILL PREMIER SHAWN GRAHAM AND ABEL LEBLANC BE AGAIN THE ONLY ONE TO PAY THEIR RESPECT ON JANUARY 12TH????
Let me take a few minutes to explain what’s going on with Tim Smith memorable day on January 12th.
Lets go back to the year of 2006 when Tim Smith held the first one.
What was very important is to see which MLA would step forward to acknowledge the issue of VLT and the emotional harm these machines have cause to many families in New Brunswick.
Sadly the answer is - Only two!
Tim believe the MLA’S would at least send a bouquet of flowers in memory of the people who committed suicide in their riding because of their addiction to VLT’S.
We were both surprise that Ed Doherty never showed up or send a bouquet of flowers because Tim work very hard to get him elected in the by-election.
We both have a issue about the VLT with Ed and I will bring it up this week.
Sounds like Ed Doherty refuses to acknowledge Tim Smith on this issue?
We first had our little memorable in the middle of the walkway in front of the Legislature but decided to hold it on the sidewalk near the streets.
There was a reason for all this.
The Liberals while in opposition was stationed in the opposition building.
If Tim Smith was right in front of the Legislature. These MLA’S would have to acknowlegde Tim because they had to walk by him.
Well, I saw a lot of Liberal MLA’S walk by and didn’t even bother to march that extra 50 feet to meet with Tim Smith.
Kelly Lamrock walked by on many occasions but never bothered to pay his respect.
It was disgusting!!!!
There were only two MLA who acknowledge Tim.
Shawn Graham and Abel LeBlanc.
Will Shawn Graham as Premier be there this year?
In my opinion? Every MLA should at least send a bouquet of flowers to the Legislature on January 12th.
The best emotional act last year was when Don Bishop showed up with a bouquet of flowers in memory of his son who comitted suicide a few years back.
I might add the media was great to spread the message among New Brunswickers.
This memorable will continue as long Tim Smith or myself are around.
Lets see what’s going to happen this year?
One thing is certain!!!!
I’ll be right there with my eyes and camera. I will let the readers know which MLA cared and which didn’t give a darn!!!!

Boards of Trade often sit in the background and nod approvingly as projects come to town and voice disappointment when they leave or don't materialize, but they rarely go on the offensive.
Bob Manning's blunt inaugural speech as the chairman of the Saint John Board of Trade in May let board members know that the group was taking a new path - some would love him for it and others would despise him. Manning was steering the 187-year old board down a more proactive, confrontational road with what he called "anti-development" groups. If those groups considered themselves defenders of the public trust, then he felt that the board should be the defender of business development. He left little doubt he wanted the board to drop the gloves and fight fire with fire.
The most public fight has been the board's choice to champion making Saint John an energy hub and the no-apologies support for the pipeline through Rockwood Park.
Welcome to the year 2,007 and; THIS IS THE DAY THAT
THE LORD HAS MADE; LET US REJOICE AND BE GLAD
( PSALM 118:24 *NKJV )
What do you think this day, or any day means to our
Heavenly Father? For the answer to that let us turn to the Bible
where it is written; BUT, BELOVED, DO NOT FORGET THIS
ONE THING, THAT WITH THE LORD ONE DAY IS A
THOUSAND YEARS, AND A THOUSAND YEARS AS ONE
DAY. ( 2 PETER 3:8 ) It is also written; FOR A THOUSAND
YEARS IN GOD'S SIGHT ARE LIKE YESTERDAY WHEN IT
IS PAST, AND LIKE A WATCH IN THE NIGHT. ( PSALM 90:4 )
You see even though a thousand years is a very long, long time
to us, it isn't when compared to God's Eternal Existence.
Now when we think about it, we actually live one moment
at a time, not a day at a time, do we not? For none of us carry
a guarantee of the future, even if that future is only an hour or
two away. So try to do your best in the moments that you have
each day, remembering that a lot can be accomplished in only a
moment. Therefore cherish each day that God has given to you,
and try to be the best person that you can be each hour of every
Now I would like to share the following poem with you Charles,
and to wish you a Wonderful New Year filled with God's Love,
Hope and Faith. May God Richly Bless You Indeed in 2007.
A new year just beginning,
Each day a fresh, new start,
To fulfill your hopes
And pursue the dreams
Sustained within your heart.
Put God in charge;
He'll plant the seeds
Of affection, love and care.
Like a garden, your life will grow
With kindness flowering there.
And as you face the wonder
Of each day's mysteries,
You'll see God's hand
Unfolding, daily, possibilities!
And as each day comes to a close,
Dream a dream or two,
Then with a prayer thank dear God
For each day given to you.
Poet, Gael Phaneuf
With My Love & Prayers,
your servant Allen
