QUEBECERS ANGRILY CONFRONTS CHARLES IN THE NEW BRUNSWICK LEGISLATURE!!!
CHARLES EMAIL LETTER AGAINST ROGERS TELEVISION TO THE C.R.T.C!!!!
I was told that it would be a waste of time to send you this email but I feel that I must forward a complaint against Rogers Television in New Brunswick.
We don’t have too many talk shows in this Province.
We have CFBC Radio. This show is called – Talk of the Town.
This informative program has been around for over 20 years.
I might add that I have been a regular caller for over 10 years.
A few years back, Rogers Television came out with a program call –Melanson Live.
This talk show was on the air for four years.
I was also a regular caller.
I became good friend with the host – Dennis Melanson via-email.
I was calling from Saint John to the show which is located in Fredericton.
I might add that I was a live guest on Melanson Live on two different occasions.
Another talk show Rogers Television has on its agenda is called - Voice of the Province.
This show had politicians as their guests every Thursday. I would always be on of the first callers and my main issue was Ritalin.
Ritalin is a drug that is being over prescribed to our children in New Brunswick.
I took advantage of this show to spread the word of the way the Government are ignoring the issue of drugging our children.
One former host was Andrew Holland.
I also became good friend with this individual.
He left in the summer of 2003 but to this day I still remain good friend with the guy.
Changes were in the making for Rogers Television in New Brunswick but I never had the slit less clue that I would be included in those changes.
Fall arrived and the two talk shows in New Brunswick were all set to begin a new year.
One of the changes were Melanson Live.
Dennis was no longer the host and a new young kid in his early 20s was at the helm. His name is Rich Crosby.
At first, I didn’t bother calling because I wasn’t comfortable with the new host.
One evening, they were debating the issue of Autism.
I decided to call in with my view on this very emotional issue.
A talk show would take the first caller who first calls in. It’s only fair.
Myself, I always call minutes after the show airs so therefore there would be no excuse.
Rogers never return my call and I was concern.
I once again called the show during the second half of the show and they put me on hold.
I waited but seconds before I was going to go on the air. The producer Patrick Watt quickly intervened and I might add that he was very nice to me.
He told me that he didn’t know what was going on but the new host Rich Crosby have given the orders not to take my calls.
I found this very strange because I have never crossed that line when I’m on the air.
The Producer told me that I could still call the talk show - Voice of the Province the next evening.
I was confused but I decided to test the waters. I was told in the past that they were some people from Ontario who didn’t like my style but I just ignored
the stories.
I must tell you that I live in a Rooming house and I used the pay phone on many occasions to call these shows.
I talk to the guy who takes the calls and he told me that they can no longer accept calls from me because I’m on a pay phone.
I sorted laugh at that comment but I remain calm.
I walked down the hallway and use a home phone from a friend.
The guy was confused when I called.
He sounded surprised.
A woman quickly took over the phone and told me that I can leave my question on the Rogers viewer hotline.
I said - This is a joke right?
But she let it known that this wasn’t a joking matter.
My days of phoning Rogers talk shows were officially over.
The next morning, I phoned the talk show in Saint John and asked the host if I ever crossed that line that I wouldn’t be accepted as a caller?
You see? Rogers has a three seconds delay to cut off a caller who would be rude but That’s not enough time.
I guess Rogers Television don’t wish to spend the extra money for this devise.
My main concern is Rogers Television are denying certain group of people the right to speak out on issues.
If the poor cannot use a pay phone to call these shows? I do have a problem with this.
I might add that Rogers Television are truly pushing New Brunswickers patience with the new host Rich Crosby.
This kid announced a topic on the show.
Lets say? Breast Cancer would be the topic.
Before the show airs, he voices his opinion on different issues of the day but the public are not allowed to call him to counter his views because the show would be on breast Cancer.
This is not right!
I wish the C.R.T.C. to investigate Rogers Television of the matter they are denying New Brunswickers the right to speak out.
Especially the show- Voice of the Province.
They are screening the callers so the politicians will not have to explain their action to the audience.
Myself, at first it bothered me that I am denied my freedom of speech in Canada.
But I use my freedom of speech in a different way in today’s world. I am a blogger.
I had over 55,000 visitors to my site and it’s a great way to spread my message.
I will add this letter to my site so the readers including the staff of Rogers Television will know that I am not taking this issue likely.
Please investigate the matter that people from Ontario are denying our rights to speak out!
Merci Beaucoup!
I'M VERY SORRY FRANK!!!!
Lately, I noticed that many visitors are visiting this site because they are searching Frank McKenna's picture in image google.
My website site shows up on the very first page.
I haven't receive an email from Frank and I wish he would send me something so I can say that he does communicate with the public. < just like the good old days > Here's what I wrote months ago that appears in Google. Just click below-

THE IRVINGS LANDS IN QUEBEC COURT!!!!!
post only if it appeals to you...

Attention News Editors:
Class Action Against Irving Oil
MONTREAL, Jan. 24 /CNW Telbec/ - Option consommateurs and Mrs. Ginette
Béchard filed a Motion for authorization to institute a class action against
Irving Oil on January 20, 2006. According to the Petitioners, the oil company
overtaxed gasoline prices.
The Fuel Tax Act requires Quebec consumers to pay a tax of a few cents
for each litre of fuel they purchase. The law also provides for a lower rate
of tax in border regions in order to take into account competition between gas
stations on both sides of the border. This tax is also reduced in regions
termed "peripheral" or "designated".
However, on May 25, 2004, the Court of Appeal ordered Irving Oil to
reimburse $884,779.00 in overcharged taxes. In its judgment, the Court reveals
that from January 1993 to December 1997, the oil company charged customers
taxes which were higher than what was permitted under the law at its service
stations located near the Quebec / New Brunswick border. The oil company would
have done the same thing in other regions. This was a repeat offence. Indeed,
in 1993, the multinational corporation was ordered to remit over $188,000.00
to Revenue-Quebec for a similar infraction.
In so doing, Irving Oil would have contravened not only the Fuel Tax Act,
but also the Competition Act, the Consumer Protection Act and the Civil Code
of Quebec. Consumers would thereby have incured losses caused by the
multinational. The class action aims at compensating consumers.
Option consommateurs and Mrs. Ginette Béchard are represented by two
attorneys: Eric David of the firm Beauregard and Partners, and David Schulze
of the firm Hutchins Grant & Partners.
Created in 1983, Option consommateurs (formerly ACEF-Centre) is a non
profit organization dedicated to defending and promoting the rights of
citizen-consumers. To accomplish its mission, the organization has undertaken
more than twenty class actions and closely follows the energy sector.

GOD'S MINUTE!!!!
BE JOYFUL IN HOPE, PATIENT IN AFFLICTION, FAITHFUL
IN PRAYER.
( ROMANS 12:12 *NIV )
Dear Charles,
We have hope because of our faith in our Savior Jesus
Christ and; HOPE DOES NOT DISAPPOINT, BECAUSE
THE LOVE OF GOD HAS BEEN POURED OUT IN OUR
HEARTS BY THE HOLY SPIRIT WHO WAS GIVEN US.
( ROMANS 5:5 )
Now when we are afflicted, we have God's promise that;
THE RIGHTEOUS MAN IS RESCUED FROM TROUBLE,
AND IT COMES ON THE WICKED INSTEAD.
( PROVERBS 11:8 ) For it is also written; I WILL NEVER
LEAVE YOU; NEVER WILL I FORSAKE YOU.
( HEBREWS 13:5 )
Therefore; DO NOT BE ANXIOUS ABOUT ANYTHING,
BUT IN EVERYTHING, BY PRAYER AND PETITION,
WITH THANKSGIVING, PRESENT YOUR REQUESTS
TO GOD. ( PHILIPPIANS 4:6 ) After all, it is written;
THE PRAYER OF A RIGHTEOUS MAN IS POWERFUL
AND EFFECTIVE. ( JAMES 5:16 )
So Charles, never let disappointments cause you to
lose hope, for God is always with you. Therefore my
friend; REJOICE IN THE LORD ALWAYS. I WILL SAY
AGAIN REJOICE. Amen! ( PHILIPPIANS 4:4 )
With My Love & Prayers,
your servant Allen
