I have been told that the Irvings are using all the water from Spruce Lake for their Paper Mill.
The residents from Saint John West are using the water from Loch Lomond in East Saint John.
Anyone out there knows the facts on this one?

ADHD drug warnings could cause undue worry-doctors

BOSTON (Reuters) - New warnings that may be added
to drugs for attention deficit disorder, or ADHD, could have a
chilling effect on prescribing habits of doctors, cut sales of
the drugs and create unnecessary fear in the public, some
experts say.
This week a U.S. Food and Drug Administration advisory
panel will meet to discuss potential cardiovascular and
psychiatric side effects of drugs such as Novartis AG's
Ritalin, Johnson & Johnson's Concerta, Shire
Pharmaceuticals Group Plc's Adderall and Eli Lilly &
Co.'s Strattera.
The FDA panel, a group of outside experts, will also
consider the possible increased risk of suicidal thinking with
Cephalon Inc.'s experimental treatment Sparlon, a drug
containing the same ingredient as its narcolepsy treatment
Provigil. Cephalon's stock has fallen 11 percent since March
15, when it was revealed that Sparlon's risks would be
scrutinized during the discussion of ADHD drugs and suicide
risk.
A different FDA advisory panel that met last month
recommended that the ADHD drugs carry black box warnings -- the
most serious possible -- about the potential risk of sudden
cardiac death and heart attack. Adderall already carries such a
warning.
The panel that meets Wednesday will consider whether and
how to strengthen warnings about the cardiovascular risks, as
well as psychiatric risks such as psychosis and mania.
FDA officials say they are waiting to hear from the panel
before deciding whether new warnings are needed.
"The reaction at the FDA is more emotional and political
than scientific," said Dr. Joseph Biederman, chief of pediatric
psychopharmacology at Massachusetts General Hospital and
Professor of Psychiatry at Harvard Medical School. "These drugs
in healthy people have an extraordinary record of safety."
"The vast majority of the risks are known, understandable
and controllable," said Dr. F. Xavier Castellanos, professor of
Child and Adolescent Psychiatry at New York University School
of Medicine and author of "Stimulant Drugs and ADHD Basic and
Clinical Neuroscience."
"If they put black boxes around everything, they will cease
to have any relevance," he said.
Attention deficit hyperactivity disorder is characterized
by impulsivity, lack of focus and hyperactivity. Every month
U.S. doctors write 2 million prescriptions for ADHD drugs for
children and another 1 million for adults.
Dr. Steven Nissen, a cardiologist at the Cleveland Clinic
and a member of the panel that recommended stronger heart risk
warnings, said last month he wanted a doctor's hand to
"tremble" a little before writing a prescription for ADHD
drugs.
Some analysts think strengthening of safety warnings on the
drugs is inevitable.
"The FDA clearly wants to make material changes to the
labeling for the ADHD class of drugs," said Marc Goodman, an
analyst at Morgan Stanley. Goodman recently cut his growth rate
prediction for the ADHD market to 5 percent from 7 percent for
the 2006 to 2010 period.
The debate over ADHD drugs comes on the heels of a similar
debate over the use of the SSRI class of antidepressants, which
some claim increase the risk of suicidal thoughts among
adolescents. In 2004 the FDA required antidepressant makers to
include that risk in a black box warning.
"That hasn't helped anyone much," said Barbara Ryan, an
analyst at Deutsche Bank. "We're in an environment now where
labels are becoming so riddled with warnings that people don't
know what to do."

DOROTHY DAWSON IS INDEED THE QUEEN OF ALL ACTIVISTS!!!!
Yes, this woman is the activist of all activists. 
I remember when I first Dorothy Dawson 15 years ago while I was a member of the Saint John District labour Council.
She was always at the meetings but rarely spoke out but always encourage me not to be afraid to speak up!!! 
When she spoke? You could have heard a pin drop. She gained the respect from all the citizens in Saint John.
As a for former nurse who raised a large family? She knows about hardship and happiness.
She’s always there if I want some information on a certain issue and she’s not afraid to speak her mind.
As a matter of fact? She was the backbone of my two protest in front of the Legislature.
I had a meeting with her in 2002 at a local Tim’s Horton. I was wondering how I could bring the issue of Ritalin to the public eye? 
I have been fighting with the Bernard Lord for three years and I was getting nowhere. 
She suggested that I should set up a tent in front of the Legislature?
I wasn’t too comfortable with that idea but at the end I said - Lets do it!!!
She lent me her tent and droved me to the Capital in 2002! 
The protest and hunger strike lasted for 12 days.
The following summer, we did the same action but this time around it lasted for 6 months and unfortunately
Dorothy never got her tent back. 
It was damage big times.
The reason I wrote this little story is that I wish this woman would become a bloggler.
She has all kinds of story. She’s very educated on every issue. 
She got elected a couple of years ago at the Hospital Board and I’m certain that she speaks her mind at the table. 
We need more people like Dorothy Dawson in this world who’s not afraid to speak her mind.
Keep up the good work Dorothy and maybe one day she’ll blog a few stories.
The bottom line is that all the
MLA's and bureaucrats in the Capital can thank her for me being here.
If it wasn't for her? I would have never move to Frdericton.

WENDELL FULTON NEVER HAD A CLUE!!!!
Yes, how times have changes and Wendell Fulton never had a clue.
I noticed this long time Liberal researcher at the Legislature Library a few weeks ago.
This individual always has his head in books. He does a lot of research.
I might add that he has been on my email list for a couple of years and he enjoys my blog.
He asked me where did I get all the pictures of Bernard Lord?
I bought Wendell to the computer at the Legislative Library and told the educated individual in the old days? 
If a person wanted a picture of a public figure? We would go over the books in the library but in today’s world? That’s almost non-existant.
We went to google image.
I wrote Bernard Lord and my blog site showed up on the first page. 
As a matter of fact there’s a picture of me and Bernard shaking hands.
I wrote the irvings?
The same action.
I told Wendell that many of my visitors are from people who are searching certain names or issues.
It’ll be there forever and ever!
He didn’t have a clue that it was so easy? Maybe from now on I made his job a little easier.
