BELINDA STRONACH!!!

I don't have much to say on this one. I was approached in the Centennial Building by someone who told me the news about this Belinda crossing the floor.
At first, I believe it was an April Fool joke????
I said on three different occasions - You’re kidding right?
At the end, I knew the guy was serious so therefore my first question was- What is Peter MacKay saying about all this?
Only in Canada!!!!

I truly thought that Ms. Stronach was a person of Class and integrity. She was supposedly one of the Conservative Partys heaviest hitters. and this outrageous and calculated move by her, proves that her integrety leaves a lot to be desired and I think that a lot of the People who voted for her will see her as an opportunist and also, as a politician who does not have their interests at heart I hope that she can live with what she has done, I sure couldn't do that

I don'thate her for what she did, but I do have great displeasure with what she did.

Cheers!
Michael G. McKay.

I think she's courageous. There's a strong chance the Liberals will lose the confidence vote Thursday, she she might be toast.

Nice to see one Conservative with a conscience. How can the other 98 can look around, see themselves aiding and abetting separatists, and follow Harper? Bravo to her! I hope there's at least one more to come, so this unholy Reform-Bloc alliance can be put in its place.

I am impressed she crossed the floor. When I voted for my deputy, I voted for someone that had similar goal then me (e.g. same-sex marriage) but also for someone that would make decision base on what is best for him so he can continue working on his issues. Clearly, Belinda wasn't comfortable enough under Harper's leadership and I think it is impressive that she had the guts to say "I am not comfortable in this party anymore, I don't feel they are working at my advantage, I believe the other party would be more helpful on bringing my issues to the public."
That is what a call a politician with a conscience. Bravo!!

All I have to say is that she did it for a reason and she felt it was in her best interest to do so therefore I commend her for taking the step up and stand up for what she thought was right. It shows great leadership skills and more people should be like that. Alls I have to say is that she is not the only one who has changed parties.

Belinda Stronach is a classy lady. Watch out Peter Mackay, as many men are her fans including this one:):) She took a very calculated risk for her own convictions. If there was a majority Liberal government and she crossed the floor then she was selfish and looking after her own ambitions but she knows this government may fall come Thursday yet she crossed the floor. That shows that she truly believed that she could not support Harper and his tactics. She was touted to be next leader of Conservative party and she actually put her ambitions aside.

This seems like end of Conservative party because party lines are being drawn between old P.C. s and Alliance/Reform. Peter Mackay himself expressed his reservation few times. At the last Conservative convention he was not happy camper initially. This will shake up Lord’s ambitions to become leader as it is going to be very divided party. Remember Belinda Stronach used to be supporter of Lord and it seems she had no use for him as time went by. People are slowly finding out who he really is, a very deceptive person.

Good-bye Conservative party.

Good Morning all,My take on Belinda Stronach is one of courage and of great consern for this country as a whole I also believe we as New Brunswickers as I made the call that she didn't seem to fit the conservative clothing right from the start I watched all the hype on pulling the conservative party together nationally and had said to a group of people at my place that night something is wrong with this she sounds like a Liberal to the core and sure enough time told a different story and I totally agree with her statement we cannot as a county stand by and watch the conserative party court the block to defeit the government as this party is for one province,s interest and also would love to pull canada's coat to shredds we should be very proud of her decision all we have to do is open our eyes and take a look around at the erigance of the conservative party at this point and time they are basicly trying to use any means possible to tear at the threads of this country to gain power because they obviously cannot do this through their own strategic means as a focused party and also my conscience will not let me accept that a party that seems to have ratical differances within itself as they are made up of three seperate groups who have divided oppinions on the future of this country and have not had a sufficient amount of time to pull together as one,I believe if they were to be elected to power at this time these cracks will begin to show themselves as they unvail how their system should look,Infighting would almost be certain and uncertainty is something Canadians have had to deal with too long in this last while I believe it is time to get back to governing collectively and responsably for the betterment of this country.

That being said, I'm still very worried about our country!
