A few weeks ago, I wrote a week long series about boarders or roomers having no rights.
Here in New Brunswick there’s no people to turn to for help!

A few concern friends asked me if everything was ok where I live?
Everything is fine with me.
I don’t stay around the place during the day. In the evenings, I play with my computer and write my next blog.
No one bothers me and that’s the way I like it!!!
Hey? It’s a hobby and I feel relax while I hit the keyboard on my lap. By following this action? My five brains are not flying all over the place!..lol
The building holds four people < including the caretaker > upstairs and two individuals downstairs.
These tenants are good people. They don’t bother nobody.
I moved upstairs because I had the best room. It was only supposed to be a temporary move.
But being me? I say - I’ll move next month and next month arrives and I’m still here. That’s what we do!
That’s what people with ADHD do all the time. Wait and wait.
A person adjusts to the situation in hand but the atmosphere in this building is totally out of control.
The oven is never used because it used too much electricity and it hasn't been clean in years! I might add that I caught Maurice cleaning the counter with a hand broom once and I was really upset! The guys put their food on that counter. This guy used to live on the streets so he don't care!
The guys are ok and no one bothers me!
But all hell broke lose once the former homeless guy
He called the cops on me on a few occasions because I refuse to take his BS! It all started on March 8th when Tim Smith came into the building. < Read past blogs >
I believe the cops told the former homeless guy that the next instance they are called? Someone better be dead???
It was all foolishness!
Now? Around the year 2000, the environment department made the Landlord to do a test in the basement because it smelled oil!
I was told that 6 people died in this place during the past years so I phoned the environment people.
Did they do a follow up? I guess he has some more work to do. Take a look at this site?
It has been like this for the last two months.
The mess hasn’t been touch for months!!!
I guess the wall caved in and no one is allowed to park their vehicle near the house.
The caretaker decided to take some serious action against this guy!
He’s an alcololic and he moved in a few months ago downstairs. I must admit that he sure keeps a clean room! Better than mine!!!!...lol
Maurice the caretaker decided that he wasn’t allowed to use the washroom downstairs any longer because he smelled bad.
He told the guy to go at the Irving’s to use the washroom! He pays $300.00 an month and not allowed to use the kitchen or washroom! I might add that Maurice don’t like the smell of smoke.
He told the guy to close his door at all times! The only problem is that the room used to be a living room and there’s no windows to be open for clean air!
He told this guy the same orders! Every time he goes out the door opens for a few seconds and the smell bothers Maurice. He
ordered him to put a fan in his window.
I used to visit this guy but no more. Maurice has the door lock
and no one wants to knock at the door to see Maurice ugly face. So?
You can say that this guy is a prisoner in his own home?
I might add that I smoke with my door open and he would not dare telling me to close my door! If there were proper ventilation in the room? Maybe?
Now? Maurice lives upstairs and decided to make downstairs his little home.
He locked the middle door so the guy couldn’t use the kitchen or washroom,
There’s only one problem?
This guy here lives inside the door. Once he goes outside Maurice quickly locks the door and the poor guy has to knock at the door to get into his own room!
In some instances, he has to wait till Maurice finish taking a shower.
He won't even give the poor guy a spare key?
I really feel bad for the guy.
The power went off one evening and everything was dark. Maurice still kept the door close.
The next day, I contacted the fire Marshall because enough was enough.
He came the very same day and I never heard from the guy for a few weeks. Last week, he gave the orders that the door should be unlock at all times.
Maurice refuses to follow these orders because no one is going to tell him what to do!
This guy downstairs lost his temper and broke the front picture window.
All that frustrations came to a head and trouble there was.
I contacted the provincial electrical inspector and Maurice < not a qualified electrician > did the electrical work! Very scary stuff!
Take a look at this light shift?
I haven’t seem one of them in years. It used to be in the old barns!
The Province tell me that UFFI < insulation > is safe but I’m not sure on that one.
I could go on and on. The bottom line is this!
For the poor New Brunswick? There’s absolutely no place to turn.
You only collect $270.00 an month and you’re very fortunate to have a roof over your head so you don’t dare to stay a word. Even if it kills you!!!
But that’s not my style because the emotional question is this?
What the hell is going on in the rest of the Province????
How many people lives in the same condition and don’t dare to
complain?
I know that if the Government orders these building owners to clean their act up? In return, the owners will jack up the rent so therefore it's a catch 22!!!!
bUT TO BE TREATED LIKE DIRT AND IT'S A DIFFERENT STORY!!!
I stayed here last winter and it wasn’t always warm!
Maurice would barely turn on the heat so I can only imagine how cold it could be in this house this winter.
Maurice rented the room where Ken used to live and as you can see? It’s just a small room! It’s located far from the main heater and it’s very cold in the winter. I don’t know who’s the new boarder but I would love to warn the poor guy in advance.
At the last minute, I decided to take all Ken's stuff before
Maurice went in there.

It takes half of my room but what can a person do? Hey? Even me mother told me that I always had a good heart!...lol….There’s a reason for everything.
What’s going to happen in this house?
Myself, I always take a shower downstairs but will the caretaker with power forced the tenants to use this bathtub? < when hell freezes over when I jump in there? >
The landlord had made it very clear that Maurice is in charge and he can do whatever he wishes!
That door is always locked once Maurice is in there.
On one occasion this guy couldn’t get the darn chain out?
What would have happen if there was a fire?
The fire Marshall wasn’t too please because Maurice told him that the door on the right was a fire escape but that was a lie because there’s no way to open the door because it’s completely seal and its place is a closet.
What will happened if there’s a electrical fire and people dies?
Who’s doing to be sued for millions? The province? The City of Fredericton?
Good question because I haven’t seen this kind of electrical work in years.
I might add that the power in one side of my room went off for a few minutes during the last few days.
Is this a warning? You tell me?
I saw him spending a whole day building that crazy little fence in the back. The tenants used to go in the back to relax but no more!
Look at that crazy fence?
Yes, it is a crazy atmosphere and something must be done so the roomers or boarders can freely complain of the way there are
being treated.
Lets not forget the huge safety hazards involved also.
I also understand that the very low amount money the poor are receiving? This is the only place they can afford.
Yes, it’s just a way for the poor to die quicker!!!
This is one reason that I decided to write the details in a blog because if anything ever happens in the building?
I am on record to forewarn the readers in advance.
God help us in this awful situation!!!

If there is a case then a good lawyer may take it on, on the basis of contingency but the factor of poverty remains there. Lawyers may not touch it.
To make your blog more effective try to overcome repetitions in writing and pictures.
I know but I had to write everything in one blog. At least if something happens? I am on record to warn the Government in advance. Our next blog will be about the LNG in Saint Andrews!!! I might add that I took those pictures and I had to get rid of them!!!
How can you afford a digital camera and smoke cigarettes on welfare?
Most people I know that are on welfare smoke cigarettes.
