LAST EVENING BERNARD LORD AND ANDY SCOTT STOOD SIDE BY SIDE TO ANNOUNCE THE GREAT NEWS TO THE ACADIANS!!!!!!

bernie

With all the excitement of the bi-election in Saint John?

By-election

I totally forgot to write on a certain issue.

On November 11th while in the bus station in the Capital. I was getting ready for my long ride to Saint John.

I noticed that the Daily Gleaner < Irving Ppaer > was in the news stand.

Charles 04_07_05 018

I made certain that no one saw and I put $1.45 in the Irving’s box for a paper. It would be something for me to read on my way down.

I was surprised that my letter was the top one in the editorial section???

This is three letters that I wrote to the paper during the last three months that received top coverage!

Hey? As long that I don’t write against the Irvings? They will print them!!lol

As least, the Daily Gleaner are printing my letters better that the Telegraph Journal who are following the orders from J.D. Irving that my letters will not be printed.

Charles 04_07_05 020

It's like old Germany all over again! The Irvings are controlling the media and we all know what happens once a person is in charge of all the newspapers in one province?

irvin-Emp

J.D. Irving is totally out of control!

opps...wrong picture

Minister_Irving

It all started with a guy name Robert Linke and I will go into the details of this guy next week!

Here’s the letter-

I didn’t know much about the Capital until I decided to make the City my little home after staying in a tent in front of the Legislature for six months.

I was protesting about the over prescription of Ritalin.

I soon found out that the Acadian population came a long way during these last few years.

For many years, they would have their church services in the auditorium of the Centre Communautaire Ste-Anne.

or at the St Dunstan's Roman Catholic Church

These days, the Acadian population have a new Church.

Many Acadians have lost their French forever because there were no French school.

P1010028

All this changed in 1978 < the year the school was built>.

Picture 050

Once New Brunswick announced to the rest of the country that New Brunswick was the first and only bilingual province in Canada?

This move attracted many Acadians to the Capital.

The French population has grown over these past few years.

The school was built to accommodate 500 students.

It was later transformed to accommodate an additional 200 students.

Today, more than 1000 students attend this school built for 700.

The cafeteria is so small that each group has only 20 minutes for lunch.

Some students have to be bused to UNB to attend gym classes.

This results in 20 minutes of lost class time per week.

I noticed that four mobile class rooms were added.

I remember these same trailers in the school of Abbey Landry 40 years ago in Memramcook.

Picture 052

It wasn’t a pretty sight.

The City of Fredericton should encourage the Lord Government to expand the French school.

We need to educate our children in a proper atmosphere.

I realize the French population is spread out in the Fredericton area. If it was located in one area only? Maybe then our elected official would take
notice.

P1010009

Maybe one day the Capital will have to move to Moncton Because of the lack of services provide to our youths.

The City should jump on the band wagon as soon as possible.

Fredericton

Now, I was told this morning, last night Bernard Lord and Andy Scott stood side by side announcing new money for the French schools in the Capital and Saint John.

Someone told me that my letter help the cause.

I quickly replied - Hey? I’m expecting a room named after me in the new expansion???? …lol…All in fun!!

So Bernard Lord and Andy Scott side by side????

Is this a new trend for the Premier????

Time will tell!!!

I wish Bernard Lord would have asked how many Acadian kids are forced on Ritalin in the French School?

I guess the numbers are way up there but Bernard always say - The drugging and the killing of our children will continue till Oct 15th. 2007!!!!

He doesn’t come out and say this but he refuses to do a study on the issue.

pic3

He doesn’t care that 48.000 kids in this Province are forced on Ritalin!!!

Ritalin

Shame on Bernard!!!!!

This is where Andy Scott is weak Quebec can get a deal that will meet there needs but Andy Scott the regional minister cannot get anything. Shows how pathetic the liberal party is becomng only spending money where they need seats.

Shame on Bernard? Shame on you Charles. You side with a party that was the first to impose Ritalin, you side with a party that use to unregulate VLT'S. How do you write this stuff when you take all your information from the IRVINGS then you side with a party that has brought all these problems to N.B.. At least Bernard is trying to fix the problem all the liberals did was add to them. All the rennovations that are goign on were long overdue by the liberals now when they go in they will take all credit how pathetic the liberals are. To think Tim Smith and you support a party that has previous MLA'S that neglected N.B. for 12 years SHAME SHAME SHAME charlie and tim

I first heard about Ritalin about a few months before Camille called the election. With Shawn Graham as Premier a study will be done on this issue!

As for VLT'S? Frank McKenna told me that the had to regulate the machines because the underground was making too much money.

Under Premier Graham? There will be a day of rest from the VLT's!

It's not our fault that Bernard refuse to listen to New Brunswickers concerns!

What is a picture of Hitler doing there? Charles, you better be careful when comparing something to a fascist dictator.

It has nothing to do with Tories or Liberals. Bernard Lord is the worst kind. 70% of the people of New Brunswick cannot be wrong when they say they had it with Mr. Lord. He is useless, incompetent and a liar.

Not only New Brunswickers have no use for him we have the worst relations ever with the feds. This man cannot get along with anyone. His ego it too big and gets in the way.

Shame on us that we ever elected him as a Premier.

jwmcq how dare you say that things are worst off. First off the government now has programs for ANYBODY to start in a trade. To say that you have to be high up in the union is nonsense. GO to any job sight that practices apprencitship and you will start work right away. The government now will pay all of your schooling for a trade give you drive expense and have a counsellor to make sure that you are in the course that you want. As for the hospital think of this: In calgary City they have a population of 1 million a little more then N.B. all put togethor. In that same population there are 3 hospitals in N.B. there are 36 hospitals around the province. Do the math almost one hospital in every riding. People like you make me laugh you complain about everything, but you don't want to pay more taxes but you want better quality of care. How do you think McKenna was paying for all of this ??? By raising our deficit every year he was in power. Like I said the Premier is getting the job done while paying the debt off he is providing a better level o fheaqlth care. Get the facts before you shoot your mouth off your just a crony who reads a newspaper and that is all you have for information. Look at the past budgets under the liberals EVERY YEAR they spent over the budget, is that anyways to run the province??? I am glad that you keep your name anonymous or I would give you one swift boot in the ass for making comments about knowing nothing about

Charlie, Liberals brought Ritalin in McKenna had no regulation on machies I could start at 3am and go right on through to 3 am and never stop.

We will be better off when Lord is gone; can't happen enough for many of us in this provice excluding Moncton and the French who have been receiving a good chuck of the money. I would not complain either. Good to make a clean sweep of the PC's.

Well as soon as idiot shawn will call a leadership review then i agree but right now nobody wants shawn even though everybody is pissed at Bernard they still know that he is better then shawn

Bernard Lord is the pits. The worst Premier we ever had and I hope there will not be another one like him. There is mismanagement everywhere. This man has been too busy promoting himself last 6 years that he had no time for New Brunswickers. Now New Brunswickers do not want him. Sooner he gets that message better it is.

Everybody is better than Bernie. Anyone.

Anonymous said...

At least N.B. realizes that Bernard is still better then Shawn. Must be pretty bad to be a leader of a party and know that N.B. hates a man but still would rather have him then Shawn LOL what a joke the power hungry liberals are

I guess everyone agrees with the money being spent in the schools? That's good!!!!

Bernard Lord sucks. Over 70% New Brunswickers say that.

Anonymous said...

Shawn Graham sucks worst that's why 90% of people want him to have a leadership review because he is scared to lose to Mike Murphy

Anonymous said...

yes Charles, i agree.

As for Lord, well, I think he's just worn out his welcome. And Shawn, I think he may not be the best possible option, but I also think all Liberals realize he's their guy now. The only ones promoting the idea of a Liberal leadership review are Tories. Murphy, Lamrock etc. will get a shot at the leadership after the next election, if Liberals somehow lose. Which doesn't seem too likely right now. I think Tories like to fantacise there's a movement in the Liberal party to dump Shawn, because they don't see any other way, besides Liberal self-destruction, to avoid losing the next election. They poured their all, including by far the best available candidate and buckets of money and an army of ministers and government MLAs, into the SJ Harbour bye-election, and they got smoked. They need a new plan, other than promoting the idea of Liberal infighting. And other than putting Trevor Holder and either Jody Carr or Claude Williams into cabinet. Time for a whole new direction, because otherwise, really, which seats are they going to take from the Liberals? And how are they going to save Holder, Fowlie, Blaney, Sherwood, Huntjens, Green, Alward and Malley? They have some safe seats to be sure, but with a one-seat majority and those eight plus maybe others in trouble, they have to be nervous. No wonder they try to change the subject to Liberal in-fighting!

Here's the problem in politics, thanks basically to the media which dumbs everything down and refuses to cover what the government actually DOES.

So we get people who sit and scream about 'our guy is better than your guy', and 'no, our guy is better than your guy'. An economy and a government is a MASSIVE enterprise that controls thousands of decisions made every day. There are TONS of issues, many of which are handled differently even by different departments. Lord doesn't sit in his office and decide every little decision the bureaucrats implement.

In today's society the government often doesn't even WRITE the legislation-industry does.

So here's a thought, maybe SOME things are better and some things are worse. If you aren't talking issues, you're just wasting space here.

While it's clear that 'the complainers' can be 'called' liberals, it's more clear that they are 'anti Lord'ers'. Of course there is no way of knowing what Graham will do, but we KNOW what Lord has done. Go read the ritalin thread for more details on that. Now, perhaps somebody can comment on the employment story above, personally, I am pretty suspicious, in a province with 10% unemployment and 20% in the north, I highly doubt that all these expensive programs are available. Again, let's see some statistics.

McKenna, of course, began his reign almost two decades ago, Hatfield was Premier and 'deficits' wasn't a bad word. McKenna was actually among the first of the 'conservative liberals' and people began getting him confused with tory Hatfield-nobody knew which party was which.

That 'underground machines' were making too much money is just stupid. This was when they were 'grey boxes' and hardly anybody knew what they were.

So I agree that there is plenty to criticize Lord about, but then it's also accurate to say that Sean Graham may not produce any better-we don't know, but at least we can try. I"ve said before for people to get emailing their liberals, because NOTHING gets done in politics without pressure. A 'study' on Ritalin is not the answer, if the remarks on the other thread are true then we KNOW what the problem is-insufficient funds for diagnoses and alternate therapies. There's your study, NOW get government to DO something about it.

PS: bickering about 'our guy' vs. 'your guy' is falling right into the government and industry's trap-to keep people from talking about issues.

Shawn Graham is the worst ever liberal leader in the history of the liberal party.
