I made a call to talk of the town and reminded Bernard Lord that the only money that will stay in Saint Sohn is the money he is spending on putting himself up while visiting.
Next I told him the only reason it will now cost the tax payers another 10 Million dollars for creating a job for Mrs.Weir was to eliminate her voice so he could steal the poor folks votes by daggling a golden carrot in front of them.
Next I kept it local about his choice of candidate Mrs.Hooton I reminded him that on the tv debate she said she was a very successful business woman by the time she was 18 yet on the radio debate she changed her answer to I can sypathize and understand the perils of the working poor as I have suffered those same conditions.
Also I reminded him that all of the printing materials which by the way is close to 20,000 dollars in business for this by-election so why has Mrs.Hooton in all her wisdom decided to have this top quality printing done out of moncton.
As well I asked Mr.Lord why he thought a successful brewery in saint john needed compatition from a brewery in his riding,Molson brewery.
I had a couple of other issues but ran out of time.
As for other calls I told Mr.Lord to please keep his answers short but to the point as he does seem to have the gift to gab and drag out his answers so as to avoid as many callers as possible just as he does on voice of the province.
Other callers are basicly saying the same thing KEEP IT SHORT.
Caller reminds Mr.Lord that all this money he seems to have to spend lets get one thing striat it's NOT your money it's money of the TAX PAYERS so it's certainly NOT a gift from the current government.
caller tells Mr.Lord in the short time he has had he has trained Michelle very well to talk out of both sides of her mouth. Which he has already perfected.
Bernard trying to defleck concerns of major spending in his own riding by saying he has spent in Moncton,Saint John,Fredericton,Bathurst,Cambellton, Northern New Brunswick.etc.etc.
Caller wants to know why Bernard is sitting there saying people who make less than 13,000 dollars does not pay Provincial income tax why the caller is holding his check stub saying sir your a lier.
caller says he is a fisherman and that he has tried talking to the Irvings about his concerns on the lng and the fishing industry but has gotten nowhere and that the premier is doing absolutly nothing to help.
his question is Mr.Lord will the fishermen be compensated if their lively hood is effected by the LNG project.
Mr.Lord said he was at a meeting with the caller at the Delta and he doesn't want to make him any hollow promises he hasn't heard anymore than the caller on where the negociations are but that he will look into it and give an answer then.
Emailer wants to know why Mr.Lord is telling all the callers they do not have their facts strait on the issues at hand. Mr.Lord said If people think he is going to sit there and listen to a bunch of callers telling lies they are mistaken.
My conclusion is this: The hour with Mr.Lord was basicly about him at the provincial level and Nothing on the By-election other than closing remarks, please vote for Mrs.Hooton she cares and she will do a good job for the people of saint john harbour. To me she is the best solution and if you only want someone in Fredericton to complain then by all means vote for someone else.
also he did not answer my question on why Mrs.Hooton plays both sides of the tracks nor did he say why all printing materials have been done in moncton and not here where the by-election is being held. Which I was expecting anyway as I have had practice at desyphering his lies and deceptions.
Mr. Lord also didn’t answer the question that” did he know or not know the whole plan of the LNG when he unloaded this burden to the citizens who live and work here, also that the pipeline was going through the city.” He must have known that is probably why he didn’t address that question in my opinion.
Good point jwmcq although I don't think you would get anyone to agree with you in Nackawic right now. If the mill didn't reopen you could kiss their axe goodbye. It does beg the question though how responsible is government for propping up towns and communities? If they're not economically viable do we leave them to their own devices and let nature take it's course? I don't know. We're talking about people's lives and their attachments to their hometowns so it's a tough question.

caller would like to know when he intends to step down so we can fix these problems.
Caller wants to know why he thinks the poor can afford to give more???
They're all tapped out!

Good one Tim. Bernard Lord is full of himself. It is good that people are catching now.
