Yeah, keep us posted on how well the "revolt" goes...

To think a bunch of disenfranchised lunatics with too much time on their hands represents the majority of the citizenry is foolish. I've yet to see one member of Citizens for Fair Taxation NOT make a boob of themselves when asked to speak for the group.

They're the type of group who take care of themselves over time...they'll fizzle out. if Irving decided to NOT build more industry in the city, they'd be the same ones crying and moaning that nobody will support jobs and industry in the city - craock of bullshit....

Some people have small minds and are easily lead by the Irvings , the papers, the politicians and actually like to pretend life is so great and yes how can people question their rights.

I am proud of people who have all along wanted someone to listen to all the people of Saint John and wanted all facts to come out. Fair taxation for all people to some degree would of been acceptable; but no some people actually think we should sit back and say nothing and let the rich get richer and the poor and middle class get to pay more and be quiet. The time has come; Billionaires that don't need tax breaks should pay their fair share. We should of received a tax break for 5 years. People will believe what they want but no group or person deserves to be treated like we have with mistruths and accusations that are so wrong and if this wasn't so serious we could laugh about it.
Sometimes you have to standup and do what is right and you don't always get support from all people. Thank heavens we don't all give up and let them bully us.
Thank you for standing up for Fair Taxation and questioning what seems to be behind closed doors.
Stress can get us down but we will all stick together and we are not a mob and we did not vandalize or to suggest we are racist is so far from the truth. At this point in life you begin to see that some people in society have it easy and they don't us to rock the boat. Well some people are tried of waiting for their piece of the pie especially since they probably paid for it a few times over.
You can't be understood by all people nor can you be liked by all people. You just have to know at the end of the day you tried to improve all peoples lives not just your own. Look around and try to see the people are in need and they can no longer wait.

I believe it's safe to paste it now!!!

Someone should try and get a picture of the new Santa up close. I heard that Old Santa is going to be stand to the side at Market Square tonight (of course not dressed as Santa). The news people will be there. Don't post this because he does not want anyone to know; he will be standing there with a friend. The plot thickens in Saint John. What next?

The Mayor ran a compaign that it would an open Council and iclusive of all people and he would be accessible ( must be a different meaning to him); people can't reach him or his expensive assistant who gets paid more $40 thousand with all the deals they make for themselves. Interesting bunch of crap that he and 5 or 6 Councillors ran together on.

I suspect they will pull off some things soon. This is the cheapest Mayor because this parade is a Santa Claus parade and he is Royal but the treated Santa like he is disposable and possibly another part of the City will take over the parade.
In the end I hope they get sued ( by previous Mayor McAlary) for slander they spread, especially since they knew it was not true but they let things take it time; how cruel against a Mayor who cares about the people and was always there if you needed her. The problem was the government they wanted to get rid of her and never gave the city any money. Politics at it 's finest. Hope she gets back in; she's had my vote all along. People wanted change but now they want Norm McFarlane gone and it can't happen fast enough. Hope he gets a chuck of coal, Mr. Scrooge.

Sorry you are so uninformed but for some reason I believe you chose to stay that way so don't comment on things you know nothing about. We are just average people who happen to want answers and we are asking for fair taxation. We all want Saint John to be fair to all people not to the wealthy and powerful, paper writing bullies who make up stories that are full of lies.

Glad to inform you that the Telegraph Journal is the new National Enquiry; they will one day print one too many lies and they will be sued. They appear to be pushing the limits on slander.

Saw the paper this morning and saw the fake Santa, crying shame when we could of had the real Santa Claus. I guess they wanted a fake Santa to match our fake Mayor.

The Real Santa was at the Imperial Sunday what a site; everyone enjoyed conversation and time spent having milk and cookies.

Notice the paper today you can't see his mouth and all you can see is a fake white cotton beard.
Merry Christmas Mr Scrooge!

I noticed that the parade seems to used more for advertising and for commercial self gratification for the owners themselves. Yes at some point there can be a small mention of the company.

The parade should be more of Fantasy for the children and families not the corporations and companies.
Why would you let people in the parade walk in the mud and smell the crap at low tide; communication was lacking for Saint Johners' again but don't forget we paid several hundreds of thousands to an outside company to tell us how to communicate.
Vehicles should not be allowed to be parked along the route; leave it open to children and families for safety reasons.
Yes kids loves lights and no one wanted to take the parade from anyone; such a shame not to use the real Santa Claus!

Fake Santa is found at any mall. The real deal should of been given the respect he earned through the years. Sadden what they do for Change. Don't forget their turn for change will happen in a couple of years. Informed Saint Johners' will not forget how they dispose of people; nor should anyone.

Merry Christmas Santa; let hope you get a few jobs throughout our short season.

I was at Council tonight and Uptown Saint John who decided to let the Real Santa go and hired a fake Santa. Comments were made what agraet parade. Then they were before to ask for $10,000.
They talk about spin offs and they I began to think our real Santa Claus could of brought us spin offs too. The new one is not real looking and doesn't talk. We had a special Santa who they could of used for two months to bring parents and chldren from all over to our city. Marketing skills could of been used here. But what do I know about anything, right. I tried to get them to understand.
