I love it when local businesses are stomped by multinational firms.

i don't know if 10:50 PM is being sarcastic or not. Anyway, I was into the Home Depot store on Wednesday, opening day. As much as I hate the Irvings, I have to say the Kent store is more spacious and nicer.

I totally disagree with 11:49pm.
I was in HD the other night and LOVED it! It is so bright and spacious. Kent's tries to put too much out so it gets confusing looking at the shelves. Much easier to find things at HD.
And the best thing of all about the HD..................NO KENT'S EMPLOYEES!!!!!!!! What I mean by that is I think Canadian Tire is the only other place besides Kent's where the employees are so rude! I haven't shopped at Kent's in ages because of how snotty and rude the employees are. They act like they are doing ME a favor by letting me spend my mobey there!
I for one will be shopping at HD!

Home Depot just opened; I was very impressed. Competion is needed in Saint John. Now price of gas should be less here because we have the health risks.

as much as i hate the IRVING BECAUSE OF PREVIOUS WORK RELATION WITH THEM i will still support them over any foreign companies since most of their money stays in Canada and they are Canadians , i support Canadians companies

They are the same as multinationals. Their money goes to Bermuda. They stop becoming Canadian citizens when they turn 70 so they don't have to pay inheritence taxes but are first in the lineup for corperate welfare from the three levels of government

That is based solely on one example.

No Help the wealthy by buying their products. Down with the dishonest as in "Irving".
