I personally don't know anyone or I am not aware from people I know that they have a problem. This problem can brew up slowly and then all hell will break loose. Thank you for attempting to bring more attention and way to show the families that their love ones will not be forgotten. The loneliness and shame and deep sadness and worthlessness exists. We wish we had a chance to help or change people's minds. Now please join and protest in this very special way. Best wishes for a sucessful awareness and hopefully changes happen.
I cannot send any flowers today because I am in Saint John but I am remembering my neighbour the Fire Fighter who took his life because of his VLT addiction, and also a another fellow who also took his life in his kitchen where his family found him over VLT addiction. In both cases not only the VLT addict lost the battle, their poor children remain without a loving Father and the poor Mother's are left holding things together. Good Job Tim, NEVER STOP UNTIL SOMETHING IS DONE!!!!
Good luck Tim, I hope that something is done to help people with the problem of addiction to VLTs. I wish you the best throughout the day today, and also in other activities you are involved in dealing with this most serious issue.
Lots of media attention and some emotional stories...stay tune...no bloggling today...too busy keeping Tim company in front of the Legislature!!!! Thanks for all the support!!!!
I would like to take just a brief moment to personally thank all those who helped out and gave me the courage to keep the issue of VLTs alive and hopefully another addict as well.
I promise to NEVER give up on this issue until we hear the words "Implimentation of Responsible Regulations has begun"
It was a bit of a chilly and long day but overall the weather held up well.
I'm now back home in Saint John and I might say very tired from the last couple of days so I'll keep it short for tonight.
My daughter is very happy to see me tonight,I'm just getting her ready for bed and I'll be doing the same A.S.A.P and will get back to this Tomorrow.
Again Thank you very much to one and all for tonight. Timothty Smith Saint John N.B.
