There is no higher honour that a citizen can attain than to be thought of as a 'sucker' by politicians. To be thought a joke by politicians, the people who have even less respect than car salesmen and lawyers is truly to be a 'man of the people'. So wear your jesters cap with pride Charles, and laugh heartily when you hear the politician's and their lackeys are laughing at you.

They've said it about how every truth has been accepted- first they ignore it, then they ridicule it, then they accepte it as if they believed it all along-you're halfway there!

Charles is a New Brunswick "Everyman", and a large coterie of senior civil servants - the people who really make government work and who are in there administration after administration - read his blog religiously. So does every smart political operative and Minister, MLA, and Deputy Minister. It's a bellweather for what people are discussing around water coolers and at Big Stop coffee counters across New Brunswick. Those who fear or envy Charles can post mocking comments in the hope that he'll be embarrassed and shut up and go away. Charles gets far too much positive feedback to be dissuaded by them.
Let's not get carried away, he doesn't get THAT many hits:) Although you hate to admit, not many of these guys are going to be in the unemployment line. Many get very comfy pensions thanks to New Brunswickers, many just go back to their businesses with all kinds of new connections. Mores the pity.

Charlie. You know you are suceeding in your quest when people are reduced to attacking you personally because to attack the person is an attempt to attack his self esteem. Esteem is what drives us all. If you can sow self doubt then you can instill fear! If you can instill fear then the battle is already won!

Why can't people just inform themselves or others and stop complaining when someone has the heart to try and help people and try to get people to question waht is going on around them and try to make it a better place. Thanks Charles!
