I really thought Lynch had a solid shot of winning. He was either too weak a candidate or Andy Scott too strong. Maybe both. I know you're a fan Charles but I still can't figure out the popularity of Andy Scott. After the plane incident and lying to not only the media but the people of Fredericton and Canada about it, I figured he was toast. Then there's the complete 180 he pulled on same-sex marriage. He still won handidly. Go figure. The guy's a survivor.

Bienvenue encore Spinks..takes the heat off me...lol...Why this Andy Scott win??? It's not because of his glasses that's for sure.

Andy won and will win again because he's a people person.

During my protest, he would come and chat with me.

He goes at the City Market every Saturday.

That's why he won!!

Yeah, that was on his literature and on CBC as if it was a big deal. He goes to the market?!? So what? Lots of people do. Gee I go there. Maybe I should run for politics. I like to believe there are other factors but I hear that reason more than any other as to why he wins. Strange.

Think what you will but the fact is Andy makes himself available to the people who voted him in.

Can you say that about your hero BERNIE?

Scott's federal and runs in Fredericton. Lord's not and runs in Moncton so your comments don't really answer the question anonymous. Some odd dynamic in Fredericton about the market. Haven't figured this one out yet. You can win an election by going to a market and THEN using it on your campaign literature as a selling point. Go figure.

You go and meet the public spinks!!!! Just like Frank McKenna or Tanker Malley met the protesters in front of the Legislator!!!!

You can't forget that it is just as likely a PARTY vote, meaning people just vote liberal rather than tory, whether they like Andy or not. Harper wasn't exactly lavishing the maritimes with attention and money, just insults. Maritimers have looooong memories.

Power of the blogger?

This story was in the Gleaner, with a quote from Pat Lynch's campaign people, a couple weeks before it was on your blog...

I don't read the Irving paper!!!! They didn't act on this until I blogged the story!! Hey? Maybe they don't read the Irving paper either???? ..lol...It wasn't done weeks ago???

Apparently their memories aren't that long 11:41. Scott lying to them during the plane incident didn't seem to bother them. Politicians changing their mind I can live with. Spinning issues in a positive light I can at least somewhat accept that it's one's opinion but blatantly lying as Scott did I cannot. Apparently though, lots can.
