Nothing against catholic faith but you demean the religion by imposing it on your readers. It shows disrespect towards others. Christ did not teach that kind of disrespect. You are anti-Christ by doing that.

You are anti intelligence for making a response like that.

We all know who is anti-intelligence. Too many have requested to leave religion alone. Do not do disserve to your faith.

Christ taught respect for others. What is anti-intelligence? Are you calling Christ anti-intelligence for advocating such respect?

We all it is fiction and I just want to be stressed. I am Catholic but I still want to understand and yes respect is important. Just don't understand if I wrote a book or created movie with a spin about what happen to a certain group like the Jews I would probably be charged.
I frankly don't understand. Another reason to be asking more quetions and have a conversation.

I believe in God or Christ but I also question and try to understand why we can't have a general non committing prayer to respect ech other and our differences.

Canadians can't openly pray but foreigners are aloud to have special rooms to pray. Explain why we can't take a moment of silence in school and during that time we can think, pray or blank all the stress out.

Try to understand that fiction can change some people and influence how people treat others.

Can't openly pray? Who stops you from praying? You can stop in the middle of the sidewalk and pray if you want to. Charles has pictures of an evangelist who preaches on the street and nobody bothers him.

No, they don't have prayer in school, but why would they? If you want your kids to pray then have them pray before school. Why should my non christian tax dollars be used for christian prayer? That's what sunday school is for.

If your religion requires your child to pray during the day, then simply go to your childs school and tell them your child needs to go somewhere quiet to pray at such and such a time. Or else put them in a private or catholic school, or else home school them. They don't have chanting at school or native dance, or buddhist meditation, why should they have christian prayer? There is recess, or lunch time, or 16 other hours in the day for prayer. Nobody is stopping it.

The only people I know who even care about this made up crap is christians. So it's not like some outside group is being anti christian. "The Passion of the Christ" had lots of anti semitic overtones, but I don't remember anybody arresting Mel Gibson.

8:46 PM is absolutely right. There must be respect for all religions. Anyone who wants to impose his or her faith on others leads you to question the authenticity of such religion. Religion is also private and pray whenever you want but to drag others into your way of praying is anti-religion. Mutual respect is the spirit of all religions. Anyone who tells you otherwise is anti-religion.

God is caring and not oppressive. Those who impose their views on others are oppressive and hence anti-God and anti-Christ. This God’s Minutes stuff amounts to that oppression and anti-God. You are doing harm to your faith and not promote it. It shows lack of understanding of the true nature of your religion. Moreover it shows lack of respect for others and that is not God's way.

He said it was anti-intelligence because it was such a stupid response, not because he or she believes religion "anti-intelligence". The "God's Minute" posts arn't imposing religion on readers. Charles is simply devoting a post a day to his religion because he obviously cares deeply about it. There is no preeching, no advocation, nothing, just a picture of something representing religion (not even always his). I highly doubt anyone has been converted or swayed towards Christianity from a picture of a minister or a church.

Grow up.

to 12:13 A.M. - Well it wouldn't be so bad it Charles walked the walked and talked the talk.
If I was going to come on here with "God's Minutes", ok, fine, but then I wouldn't turn around and brag about how many beer I put away last night or how my lungs are all reamed out from cigarettes.
People are just fed up on here and Charles is just too stupid to see it.
Look at all the top stories today, 0 comments to most all. I notice I'm the only person on the blog site at this point in time.
Even Charles "anonymous" comments to his own blog site down are dwindling. So what does that tell you about the readership.
I predict another year and this blog will be gone.
I get a kick out of all the phonies on here who want to stir things up but are too cowardly to give their names.

Hey Susan? If everything is all bad on this blog?????????????? < enough marks for ya????? > Why continue to drop by????

This blog will continue to go till the end of times.

You must understand that I used to write updates during my protest and sent them to over 200 people.

These were just a little column and once it was deleted? It was done tout fini!!!!

These days, it's bloggling and it's much better and thanks to a few supporters? I don't mind doing this.

Of course I am going a little tired of it but it's my faith that keeps me going.

What's the odds that the MLA'S and bureaucrats have to see my ugly face in the Capital every day and my best friend is the Priest who I have known for over 40 years.

As long that I can continue doing what I'm doing?

The battle against mis-justice will continue.

My GOD? This is a long comment!!! I should blog it??? Nahhhh can't be bothered!!!!!

What are people afraid of.

Charles blogsite isn't meant for comments. How many 'letters to the editor' do the newspapers print even though their readership is in the THOUSANDS, even TENS of thousands. The fact is, most people just want to know what's going on, not get involved in a big long debate with a bunch of pinheads.

Charles blogs are about ritalin and poverty, or else they offer little distractions about whats going on. Why would anybody make comments to that? What is there to say?

We know how many readers charles has, its far more than most blogs, and I can guarantee that it will spike up when the provincial election comes along. When there isn't much going on, we see few comments. But look at every blog in the province, they get very few comments. Even national ones usually get very few comments. That doesn't mean they don't serve a purpose and aren't well recieved.

As for Charles' religion, well, we know that Jesus hung around with prostitutes and drank, so unless you're amish there is certainly nothing wrong with having some beers. As for cigarettes, we now know that is a 'created' addiction by cigarette companies, and we can notice that there are no services available to help the poor get off smokes. It's harder to quite than heroin.

From this blog and the election, and everything I know of that Charles does for the poor I certainly don't think he has to worry about much when he stands before his maker. For those 'spectators' who offer nothing much more than judgements on others, it's not so definite. In fact I think he should get rid of the comments altogether, as its only mean spiteful people posting whose views don't even deserve to be heard.

I's hate to see Charles get rid of the comments. When they're polite, the comments are some of the bets part of this blog.

AS far as Christians being upset about "Da Code", I can understand why even though it is fiction. What I find interesting is the outrage at Christians (it appears all Christians) even expressed on this site for not being happy about it. There was nowhere near the animosity towards Muslims over the cartoon issue and some of them were killing and threatening peopel. As I've said many times before the anti-Christian sentiment in North America (remember Christmas this past year)is huge and Da Vinci is proving it once again.

Hey Spinks, who is stopping you? Go for it. Erect roadblock to cinemas. Show up and cinemas and tell those misled souls not watch the movie. While you are at it get rid of Morgentoller clinic. He is killing babies. Now he will kill more babies, as Chambers’ Hospital will not be performing abortions. Stand up for your rights. Now is the time.

Stand up and be counted. Put an end to anti-christian movement. Stop this Da Vinci code at its tracks. Nip it in the bud.

To me no matter what the subject or concern we have comments that try discourage people from voicing their opinion.

We all think and have learned different things in life through knowledge or experience.

I believe certain things and some things can be influenced. All our lives we will change our minds on things and hopefully try to open our minds and knowledge is still important.

Fiction or truth; neither one one is 100% one way or the other.

Respect of peoples feelings and beliefs is what is important.

We will never know the real truth to most things in life.

No matter how intelligent you may think you are you will never know it all.

No matter the colour of your skin, sexual preference, language or religion; what is important is to allow people the respect and patience. Please don't come to Canada and expect us to lose what we have and give it up so you feel comfortable and you walk all over us.

We could never go to any other country and demand so many rights as soon as we arrive or decades later.

Just saying we need to protect some of our rights in Canada and not give them up at all cost.

The book is a book and the movie is a movie.

People have always liked to believe the worst in people or gossip it seems to make them happy when they are not the only ones suffering.

What is important each and every day that we try to help each other and make it a little better in some small way.

If you could just try to listen onece in awhile instead of cutting people off.

FICTION COULD BE WRITTEN ON MANY THINGS BUT SOMEHOW IF YOU WROTE THAT ON THE JEWS OR MUSLIMS I think we would have more objections. I doubt if you could get away doing a movie.
