The final report from the Senate on the Irving Monopoly must have really favoured the Irvings because they are printing stories against me and I'm not allowed to fight back!
A Loyal true bigot is allowed to condenm this Acadian??? My God? It is indeed old Germany again! A bigot is bad enough and now a Irving Employee? Brent Taylor has been against me for years.
I'm certain that the Irvings will reward this bigot well after this latest column. I'm going to phone the editor to fine out if I got the right to reply to this bigot!
Bigot? You should have heard his big Anti-French speech in Campbellon in 1991!
If he had his way? The Acadians would be deported from New Brunswick and now he's a loyal Irving employee!!!!
Bloggers can take their messages too far

REALITY CHECK
........
....
While serious bloggers go about their business with discipline and ethics, the kooks cast a pall over the whole medium.
Last week our legislature's administration committee had the unhappy task of banning a self-proclaimed blogger from the property of the assembly.
The directive from the sergeant-at-arms identified several grounds for the eviction, including the continued harassment of government employees at their workplace.
This "blogger" feels he has a right, as a journalist, to ply his craft - which apparently consists mostly of taking candid photos of politicians and private citizens and then posting them with accompanying commentary to his Web site - after some of the photos have been doctored and many of the articles laced with defamatory depictions and statements.
For instance, union representative Tom Mann wrote this newspaper last week defending the blogger's banishment, and was promptly termed a "bigot."
Similar libellous terms have been levelled against dozens of other New Brunswickers from all walks of life. There is no point in any of them suing this blogger, however, for he apparently has no assets and, therefore, nothing to lose.
Despite the kooks, blogging has become increasingly mainstream. In an effort to establish a set of principles to which legitimate bloggers would adhere, the Media Bloggers Association (MBA) was created to gather together those involved in the craft. The MBA adopted the following principles to be followed by its members: honesty, fairness, accuracy, transparency, accountability, trust, and, respect for the privacy of private citizens.
From a founding membership base of 22 blogs, the MBA has grown exponentially to now include 295 blogs, with new applications being received steadily.
To become a member of the MBA a blogger must, among other things, "have a demonstrated history of a serious commitment to blogging evidenced by blogging for more than several months, posting regularly and frequently, and writing posts of some reasonable level of quality."
The Fredericton blogger banned from the legislature would not even come close to meeting the standards set forth by the MBA.
He had previously applied for membership in the legislature's press gallery as a reporter.
The application was not approved, and rightly so.
As the phenomenon evolves the press gallery will, at some point, be presented with an application from a blogger that will be worthy of acceptance.
The MBA guidelines are a good start on what test ought to be applied to a blogger seeking to chronicle the political life of New Brunswick as a full member of the gallery.
Until then, both the legislature and its press gallery need not apologize for evicting harassers and disturbers. The MLAs, the public, and the employees themselves must have a safe and secure environment in which to come together to advance their legitimate causes and do the people's business.

hi Charles,, Glad to see that you are able to blogg again.Did you find out why you couldn't blogg yesturday.Let us readers know what happened.
Charles, that article speaks the truth. How bout you stop spreading your lies?
Charlie have no fear your readers are here.
Notice after all this man's ramblings his letter comes to the same conclusion he is trying to inflict on you. ( Discontent and feelings of failure so as to strike back at those that outshine them in a more accountable society) Aw, to bad so sad.
This is not my opinion this is obviously the opinion of many, as you can see.
(BRENT TAYLOR is a FORMER MLA.)
All I see here is a disgruntled individual but unlike yourself he had his kick at the can and will never get another chance as we really are starting to get a grip on not going back to the same pool of deadbeats over and over again.
So I really don't see anything in his future as far as ever getting a seat at the table a second time.
If this person was an MLA and yet most have never heard of him.
Then it only stands to reason this guy really didn't make any sort of difference in this Province while sitting in a spot of power to make even a small change in favor of the voters of New Brunswick.
Which in turn could explain why these no-names come out swinging at you and or anybody like you instead of focusing on why they even have the right to do so in the first place since we the voters didn't find anything of value coming from their mouths or their actions at the table of tough decisions, so we cut them loose only to keep finding the rest of their group one at a time.
Example:
Brenda Fowley, Bernard Lord...etc and many others in this Province up to and including an arrogant Sargent at Arms who feels in all his wisdom that he can be seen clear across the eastern seaboard from the seat of an antique rocking chair picking his cuticles while the rest of us STAND on guard for thee as well as STAND and deliver and finally STAND UP and be counted.
Finally maybe most of these Pocket Picking Politicians and disgruntled EX-mla,s that seem to have all the answers now but had nothing when the light was shining on them should get together and right a book condemning themselves for very poor services provided as well as how they have perfected the two faces of democracy to best serve themselves and no one else.
The word former seems to be connected to this guy more than once.
Former member of the C.O.R. Party
Former member of the legislative Assembly
Sounds like working for Irving is his only other option.
It must have been his resume that got the Irvings attention.
Get a job Charles!
All this time and effort you seem to have. Become a contributing member of society...and not a torn in it's side.
PS - Irving IS watching you from their top secret spy satelites and the space ship they bought from Roswell.
Taylor does have a point about the use of the "bigot" term. Throwing those types of terms around inaccurately hurts anybody's credibility. If I were you Charles I would take Taylor's comments as some constructive criticism. Do some soul searching. Rise above the petty stuff and do some quality blogging. You've done it before. You can do it again.
He is a bigot!!!! He's a member of the C.O.R. Party. I'm not bloggling from home. I'm using someone else computer....
QUOTE: "As the phenomenon evolves the press gallery will, at some point, be presented with an application from a blogger that will be worthy of acceptance. "
Maybe now is the opportunity for a New Brunswick blogger to put that application in. With all the furor over Charles, they might be open to bringing in a couple of token "establishment-style" bloggers to deflect the criticisms of non-transparency.
Great article, Charles, and you could stand to learn something from it if you would open your mind and start acting in a reasonable fashion.
And Mr. Too Stupid to Use the Shift Key, I suggest your learn how "democracy" works. We already elected this group, and soon you will have the chance to elect a new group if you choose. You see, the citizens DO run this province.
Just because somebody was a member of COR doesn't mean they are a bigot. He may well be a bigot, I am more concerned about what he writes about, and that is the union leader being called a bigot. Charles mentions that he doesn't know anything about him, so the idea that somebody is a bigot simply because they are against Charles is a bit much.
If you call somebody a bigot you should back it up, and the union leader is just a fascist idiot, not a bigot. Some people are just plain against Charles, it has nothing to do with his ethnicity, which is generally what bigotry tends toward.
I do agree with a fair amount of what Taylor says. I think Charles takes it too far with the doctored pictures and name calling. I don't come here to be entertained with photos or music, but for information and I assume many others are the same. It does come down to 'style', the Irving press are good at making things sound 'legitimate' even when they are utter baloney. But I've never heard them call people liars or bigots, they leave that to the reader to infer. When you have a blog that says Lord says he would do a study, but then doesn't, we don't need a picture to know he was lying.
I think part of the story that should be of equal concern, and even Charles plays it down, is the other people banned from the legislature. I'd like to know details because if somebody did just stand up and start giving a speech, or even worse, simply showed up with a clown nose, then clearly we've got a government here on the brink of 'old germany'. I don't know the details, but that is utterly ridiculous, as is Tankers remarks that "we have to ban people's civil liberties so that we can have a nice place here to work".
If those people can't handle the pressure, they should get the hell out and let some other New Brunswicker take over.
If the Irving empire doesn't have anything better to do than try to block a blog by a person who can't write then they should be going bankrupt any second.
Charles, your blog was down because blogger, owned by a tiny CA company called Google, was doing maintenance. Contrairy to popular beleif, people are are not out to get you.
I will agree with Brent on one thing, which never happens, you should learn to write if you want to be considered a journalist.
Spinks, I agree with you but you are talking to a brick wall. It is a one-way street. Whatever comes out comes out. Nothing ever goes in or sinks in Charlie’s brain. It is as simple as that.
Who wants to become a journalist anyway. If you can't read my baaddd graammaarrr then you know what to do....
Charlie it doesn't take a rocket scientist to see that he is aiming his intent directly at you as an individual, adhd and all. but has atempted to put it across to everyday joe that it is only his view on bloggers.
I don't think there is any need to get prickly Charles, those were actually pretty moderate comments as far as it goes. There is some validity to that, calling everybody a bigot or liar doesn't do any favours for independant press.
However, if NB actually had a functioning media then Charles would be working for the River Valley News and would have an editor. I don't think decent grammar and simple spell checking is too much to ask for, hell, just reading it over once before posting.
A case in point is this thread, where it seems Brent Taylor is no longer a bigot, he is a "former bigot". Listening to Charles on the radio shows that he has a good grasp of the english language and expresses himself well. It is his blog, but I join those who are concerned that too much persecution of an individual (which is clearly happening) tends to give one a persecution complex. That means almost taking pride in one's shortcomings. However, we have to realize that Charles has ADD, so it is New Brunswickers own fault for making him 'go it alone'.
Isn't it strange that the only person with the discipline to keep running a blog is a guy with ADD!
Do you even know what 'bigot' means? It comes up quite often, usually as a random insult. Keep up the good work.
O god Charles get over yourself would yah. Get a real life and stop crying over what people say about you. Your not a baby...or are you? *tear tear*. Theres truth in what Taylor says and people care a hell of alot more what he says then what you say.
