CHARLES FILES A COMPLAINT AGAINST THE SAINT JOHN POLICE FORCE.

Pictures 005, originally uploaded by Oldmaison.

The individual who took the complaint was a very nice guy. He asked me how my camera worked? So I showed him...lol....I'm surprised that I didn't once again landed in the slammer???..lol

I'm asking for a public inquiry of the way I was treated in Saint John on Friday!!!!

Stay tune!!!!

Good for you Charles, and so you should file a complaint. I feel the police were in the wrong with this case. Good luck.

You are past your 5 minutes of fame Mr. Leblanc. Your blog, your protests and your rants are a clear cry for attention. As a supporter of the police forces in New Brunswick that have to deal with 'professional protestors' like you and Ashid, I have no respect whatsoever for any of you. And you know what else - the public at large see you for what you truly are - a wingnut to be ignored.

Well at least Charles didn't claim racism. At least the complaint has some legitimacy. Rashid had a valid complaint too until he said it was entirely motivated by racism.

Unfortunately this kind of stuff happens. In some defense of the police which there is obviously little here, when all hell is breaking loose, it's difficult to figure out who is who which is why sometimes, you in fact see reporters get arrested and it gets sorted out later. Still, a complaint in this case is valid. It should sort out the problems and reveal whether Charles deserves an apology or not. Before the locals here jump on me, I wasn't there so maybe he does, maybe he doesn't.

Blogger's arrest disturbs reader

On Friday, blogger Charles LeBlanc was arrested by members of the Saint
John Police Force while he photographed protestors attempting to gain
entry into the Atlantica conference. While we will all have to wait for
Mr. LeBlanc's day in court to answer to the charge of obstruction, I am
dismayed by allegations that his photographs of the event were deleted
from his digital camera.

More disturbing however, is Mr. LeBlanc's claim that he was paraded in
front of conference attendees. Article 13, paragraph 2 of the Geneva
Convention states that, "prisoners of war must at all times be protected
... against insults and public curiosity."

Guilty or not, don't Canadian citizens deserve treatment from the
police that at least measures up to the treatment we are required to show
our enemies?

Charles, Don't let people walk all over you. Good to see you are standing up for your rights. When it's wrong it's wrong. I wish you all the luck on this one.

Riiiiiight, Taj, Just because one guy says so. I've said it before and I'll say it again. Rashid has done a huge disservice to minorities in the Fredericton area by playing the race card. New immigrants are generally afraid of law enforcement because often where they came from, they are beaten and sometimes killed by law enforcement (and they're the same colour by the way). Now Rashid is trying to breed that same type of fear here. Irresponsible of him. Claiming an overreaction and asking for an investigation would have made sense. Claiming racism is ridiculous.

What can one expect from a bigot, more bigotry. Spinks you are determined to defend your fellow bigots. Too bad because it does not change the reality and facts.
