Are you guys a bunch of bigots. Of course colour matters. Only whitees get elected to the legislature. Up to recently gender mattered greatly and only white dudes got elected. Before that only White Anglo Saxon dudes got elected. Yes there is bigotry. You are proving to be one of those bigots.
You think Bernard Lord is smarter than Margaret Ann Blaney. Think again. This moron got elected as a leader and she did not. Why? Because he happens to be a male, an ugly one but male nonetheless. Which neck of the wood you live in.
Thinking is not that difficult,unless you smoke pot. Mohammed Ali did not become,and stay world champ,because of your theory. In this world,the strongest,smartest,fastest,will most always win. And the majority will rule. Time to get back to being thankful for the benefits doled out by the most powerful. Don't stick your fist in an Ali's face.Spend more time in appreciation rather then in demanding rights,or history may repeat itself faster then some may want.
What benefits from the most powerful? The above is only partly true, and even I could take Mohammed Ali right now. The smart aren't nearly as smart as you think they are, and the powerful aren't nearly as powerful as you think they are.
And this is New Brunswick and Canada where the majority do not rule, in fact all they can do is pick one of two people in their riding to represent them, that's all.
Thats not majority rule, that's minority rule. And remember what I said about the powerful, and the majority are very powerful. Just ask the former Czar of Russia.
However, its silly to think that CHarles means the guy won't win because he's black, at least that's not what Charles has against him.

All joking aside Charles, I heard this guy on one of the local radio station newscasts here in Saint John this-morning [ August 22/06 ].
He never once talked about any of the issues people and politicians Both, are talking about.
