I took this picture a few weeks ago. It was terrible the way Bernard Lord took advantage of this poor guy.
Once the by-election was over?
They left the poor guy alone. At least he got his 15 minutes of fame but for the wrong reasons!!!

This guy is always in uptown Saint John panhandling. He should be out working like everyone else. I think it is funny that he was taken advantage of by the PC's. Did this guy really think that the PC party cared about him or his concerns? Is he that stupid that he could not see that the PC party used him?
He is not stupid but you don't sound too bright yourself. Yes they did use him and you don't know what is going on in his life to judge. They did everything they could to buy votes donuts, bicyles for the kids, barbeque for parents to come to try and convince them that the PC could do so many things for the people in the South End. They also offered cigarettes and who know what else to get them to vote. One thing they can't do is force them to vote for Lord. They know that they will take any freebees but they can't be bought. Lord had seven years and another 7 years won't help these people under Premier Lord. Give Lord the Booton September 18TH. His excuses of blaming others are getting harder to listen to. He knows how to help his wealthy friends; just pass a special. Respect he had for us at that time was questionable. Orimulsion Fiasco was avoidable but he makes excuses. We had enough.
Having PC campaign offices in my neighbourhood was a real pain in the @ss .. everyone knew where to go for beer, coffee, cigarettes, and BBQ hot dogs. This must be a PC party tactic because my brother in Halifax said they did the same thing in poorer neighbourhoods there.
