I had a message on my phone today. Santa called and told me that his picture was in the paper (Telegraph Journal) advertising the Big Event.
The problem is they changed to a different Santa last year, a friend of the Mayor's in the city.
They had the best Santa for several years and no other is so more caring and so prepared for such an important job.
The Mayor and Enterprise Saint John made it a money issue but we all know that they spend more now then ever on the new imposter who tries to play Santa. His picture is not real looking at all.
It was a very sad day when they let Santa go without notice. This year they wanted to open the wounds again and rub it in Santa's face and put his picture in the paper and promote the parade. This is false advertisement because the Santa they have in the paper is not in the parade.
The picture in the paper is the real Santa. All I am trying to say is they should not of falsely promoted the parade. Someone needs to explain why they would do something so cruel.
Also you should have permission to use his picture. Santa has rights too. ( Saint John parade was tonight.)
The best news is West Saint John has a parade at 2 pm Saturday Dec 25 starting at Barnhill School on Manawagonish Rd and along Main St and eventually to the Lancaster Mall.
The Real Santa will be there. Hoping someone can get the news out because our paper does not cover much.
