I began to get ready for the protest of the New Brunswick Human Rights Commission.

I decided that I would go at the Fredericton Soup Kitchen with my blowhorn.

While walking on the streets of Fredericton. I noticed my little toy attracted a lot of attention . . . lol . . .

I don’t make it a habit of going at the Soup Kitchen at Noon but I just had to spread the word about the protest.

IMG_7097

Many told me that they would be there but I know for a fact - What a person says and what they do is a different issue.

I showed up at 1:00pm at Tim’s Horton but nobody was there.

I said to myself - Ok . . . this will not go too far but I will still do it alone.

While waiting, People began to arrive and a few told me they would love to go but they were afraid of being labeled by Family Services.

This is totally ridiculous. I let it known that if they ever have a difficult time by Family Services for attending a protest?

Just let me know and I’ll take care of that issue.

I’m serious!!! Many are afraid!

It just doesn’t make any sense but what can you do?

I had a little crowd. < They say three is a crowd?>...lol...

We began our little walk towards the Human Rights Commission.

IMG_7116

I wasn’t sure what to expect or what to do?

Once there, I began shouting issues via the blowhorn about stories that I had with the New Brunswick Human Rights Commission.

IMG_7123

People walked by and wondered what was going on?

A protest in front of the new Brunswick Human Rights Commission? Very strange indeed.

I went on for 10 minutes challenging the Commission to step outside and meet the poor!!!

I stopped and asked - How am I doing?

They told me to continue.

Well, I began talking about my past human rights case against the Irvings while I was working for Gulf Operators < Irving company >

I had a supervisor name Brian Grant and he said - QUOTE - If I own this Empire?

There would be no Niggers of Frogs working here!

The people shouted- WHAT???

I continue - How come the States got the Niggers and Canada got the Frogs??? They had first choice!!!

I told them- I’m not sure but THAT’S RACISM!!!!

This racist drove me nuts for six long months.

The Commission sent me a letter telling me it was without merit.

I continue by saying the Irvings and the Commission is working side by side.

I talk about Carl White and his dealing with the law and I believe that did it because the Commission knew that I was getting angry and out of control.

The funny thing is that I had my tape recorder on and I totally forgot about it.

Once we get the audio set up on a website? You will hear every details.

Minutes later, Susan Butterfield showed up to meet the poor people in front of the building.

IMG_7135IMG_7136

She was polite and shook everyone hand and introduced herself.

Once this was done. I began asking some questions.

IMG_7140

I won’t go into all the details but Susan quickly realizes that the people in that group had some concerns of their own.

Of course, I knew the Commission couldn’t do anything about their issues but it was a chance for them to speak to somebody about their concerns.

During our conversation? I quickly jumped up once I heard a huge BANG!!!

I taught it was a sharp shooter that got me...lol......It happened twice and it was only the heavy ice falling from the building.

We chatted for 20 minutes and I said - Well, you promise you’ll bring our concerns to the Commission and if Gordon Porter doesn’t wish to go public with the issues of the poor? I guess we’ll have to come back in the Spring?

After it was all done? The people felt good about their actions.

A couple told me that he’ll make sure that he brings many more people next time we protest.

I’m not a protester! I just want our rights to be heard.

I’m glad I’m in the Capital because this is where all the Generals are located and the rest of the Province are soldiers.

Afterwards, I received a few emails telling me they couldn’t make it but they will be there the next time.

I told her that it's good public relation to take a picture so we took this one.

IMG_7157

I pray there’s no next time but what can a person do?

Like it or not the Commission must acknowledge the issue of the poor.

It’s ok to listen to their concerns but they must go public with some of those issues.

Is that too much to ask for?

So? That issue is done and I guess now I’m going to set my energy toward Dan Bussieres and the Legislature.

f3

If you only knew the true reason I was ban from the Legislature?

You would shake your head in belief but I will not go public until I meet with the Premier.

He knows that I know so lets see what’s going to happen? It’s very disgusting!!!

Stay tuned for more actions from the Capital!

Her's some more pictures-

Good work Charles, but if you are not a protester what do you call this? or when you camped outside the legislature?

Face it you are a protester.

Protester definition: an expression or declaration of objection, disapproval, or dissent, often in opposition to something a person is powerless to prevent or avoid.

You are a protester, why wouldn't want to admit that? You just want to separate yourself from certain types of protester such as those you say had masks in Saint John.

Nope!!!! I'm a blogger. If blogging don't fixe the issue in hand?

Then I become a protester!

I will always be a blogger!!!!!

Labels really don't mean anything, they are irrelevant. It looks like you did a good job, no arrests and you got people talking. No harm, no foul. Well done. I don't understand your confusion though, fear is a very powerful motivator. Imagine walking into an Irving store and saying "come to this protest against Irving". Of course people would be scared, thats the person that signs the cheques, the same goes here. You might be vocal, but that's no help if Family Services start harassing you. Keep those people in mind though, there are other ways to get the point out besides a protest.
