It is wonderful that women contribute into the Church. They, as a matter of fact do so big time (Including in the conventional family setting). What does God word say about who should lead the Church ? There lies the answer of God's will !

This has been going on for every. the question of whether or not Women should or, should be orgained as Catholic Priests. I cannot speak for he Protestant Denominations who ordain women to their Pastoral and Evangelistic Positions within their own ranks, and I will not speak to their practice of ordaination. In the Roman Catholic tradition however, the Church claims to go by what is known as the Apostolic Tradition, which the CAtholic church claims that Jesus used in choosing his first twelve Apostles or Diciples. It was recently revised under Pope John Paul II, that only Men could be ordained to the Order of Decon and Priesthood within the Roman Catholic Rite of the Church, and it was summarily reinforced under Benetict XVI. I do not believe this attitude will change anytime soon unless the church elects a expremely liberal Pope. These Ladies and their supporters if they don't like the way the Church does things, should go become members of a Protestestant Branch of the Church that will orgain women. As for ordaining Gays to the Priesthood, read Paul's Epistle to the Romans, Romans 1: 16-32, and read what God's Word says about the sin of Homosexuality.

I agree with Michael. This organization will NEVER change our Catholic Church's DOCTRINE. The Church cannot CHANGE what Christ has ESTABLISHED. We need to follow God's will, not our own. There's no guess work with Christ. Christ was ahead of the times with regards to His dealings with women. If Christ had intended for the day to come when women would be "in persona Christi" I do believe He would have made that very CLEAR. A woman is female and therefore cannot be "in Persona Christi". It's an obvious point. Please read on:
Further, in 1994 Pope John Paul II formally declared that the Church does not have the power to ordain women. He stated, "Although the teaching that priestly ordination is to be reserved to men alone has been preserved by the constant and universal tradition of the Church and firmly taught by the magisterium in its more recent documents, at the present time in some places it is nonetheless considered still open to debate, or the Church’s judgment that women are not to be admitted to ordination is considered to have a merely disciplinary force. Wherefore, in order that all doubt may be removed regarding a matter of great importance, a matter which pertains to the Church’s divine constitution itself, in virtue of my ministry of confirming the brethren (cf. Luke 22:32) I declare that the Church has no authority whatsoever to confer priestly ordination on women and that this judgment is to be definitively held by all the Church’s faithful" (OrdinatioSacerdotalis 4).

And in 1995 the Congregation for the Doctrine of the Faith, in conjunction with the pope, ruled that this teaching "requires definitive assent, since, founded on the written Word of God, and from the beginning constantly preserved and applied in the tradition of the Church, it has been set forth infallibly by the ordinary and universal magisterium (cf. Second Vatican Council, Dogmatic Constitution on the Church, Lumen Gentium 25:2)" (Response of Oct. 25, 1995).

Read "Theology of the Body" and read about the equality of worth in each gender. We have different roles that compliment each other adding to the fruitfulness of our Church. I go further to add: "The movement for women's ordination in the Catholic Church, therefore, will never get anywhere. Other Christian denominations, to justify ordaining women, have had to change their understanding of the nature of the priesthood from one which conveys an indelible spiritual character on the man who is ordained to one in which the priesthood is treated as a mere function. But to abandon the 2,000-year-old understanding of the nature of the priesthood would be a doctrinal change. The Catholic Church could not do so and remain the Catholic Church."

You all are very intelligent women who I believe would make better use of your "gifts" taking up another cause like fighting the holocaust of unborn children, euthanisia etc. You will fail at changing this doctrine, without a doubt. I echo Michael when I write, go to another Church, where you can become women preachers since this seems to be a passion above obeying God's will. With respect.
