Fredericton Police Force in action - This is just the beginning of the long weekend!!!

I took these pictures around noon.

I covered the guy’s face. For a minute, I believe the cops were going to give me a hard time. They never said a word.....

I don’t see anything wrong with taking pictures because if the cops are rough with the person?

I got it with my camera.

The same goes if the guy being arrested goes haywire.

My God? This is just the beginning of the long weekend.

Charles, I don't understand why you cover the face of some people, but not others.
This guy is being arrested for breaking the law, and you give him the right not to be shown in your blog, but yet the police officers(who may not want to be identified along with the guy being arrested) don't have the same right?

A newspaper doesn't do this, so why do you?

Well? I'm a blogger so it's different.

I had the picture of a police officer months ago and I was told that he worked undercover so I uickly remove it.

I don't see anything wrong in taking pictures of City Finest in action.

8:07pm: There is no point asking the question. It has been asked countless times in the past. The simple answer is that he has no common sense, no manners whatsoever when it comes to taking pictures of people. His blanket excuse is "I'm a blogger! I do whatever I want!"

One of these days he will take a photo of the wrong person and that person will grab his camera and destroy it or physically attack him.

That's an interesting point. As you say, its good to be there taking pictures for both the reasons you mention. However, why should police officers be so public just for doing their jobs. I guess it depends how often their pictures are here, since I suppose you can't block out the face of everybody. I think there is a big difference between the picture of police and the accused. Police are just doing their job but the person may or may not have broken the law and that could have repercussions.

I Think they didnt like his shirt? Fact is the police are trying to get everyone used to be treated like dogs, its the police state coming our way! Good show Charles ,more pictures is whats needed when they are out making arrests to make sure they are doing it right, because if youve never been on the receiving end of a bad cop(s) you would think your dreaming here in our Law abiding country called KANADA. Anon 8:07 we dont have to cover anybodys face thats in public, hes not stalking just taking pics of an event and if he does get his camera shoved down his throat hopefully they will recover the pictures from his stomach where they should be safer than if the police were to handle the camera?

I hate to be the instigator of full-on stupidity...

but...

I think I just found Waldo.

Or, at least... the cops did.
