Hi Charles

I read your blog quite often and was just wondering if you were going to cover the public forum in Fredericton today on the Private member's bill they are trying to put through concerning Rockwood Park?

Thank you
A concerned Saint Johnner.

Ha this is the kettle calling the pot black. Will you cover any story in an honest way?

Oh well c'est la vie hen Charles!

Our only paper, Irving owned will not print anything to inform us about the Bill. Just all positive spins that lead you to believe we want a 30 inch pipe all through our city and in our back and front yards or right through our property. Leaving out so many informing stories that would knock you off your chair.

Notice very little is said but they have gone ahead as if they got the okay months ago. This is a joke we have no say but millionaires and politicians are laughing all the way to the bank!

The pipeline company has applied for a specific route through the Rockwood Park and the wording of this bill would allow any pipeline company's to put a pipeline through any portion of the said land.

The National Energy Board as of yet has not made a decision whether to allow a certificate to operate.

Why should this bill be approved when there is no decision?

If the members allow this bill and the National Energy Board denies the company certificate to operate this bill will allow other companies in the future to put a natural gas pipelines thought any portion of the park.

The National Energy Board has in front of them an application, for a specific route and within that corridor the pipeline would be placed, if approved by the National Energy Board. The wording " any portion of said lands" could destroy our park in the future.

One has to wonder why the loose wording "any portion of said land" in Rockwood Park tells me there is more plans to put pipelines into our park. Why else this wording?
