Not every citizen in Fredericton is a bureaucrat. The majority are not. Think of the hundreds of businesses in the city that employ thousands of people - restaurants, bars, retailers, corner stores, department stores, automotive dealerships, banks, grocery stores, doctors, lawyers, nurses, dentists, plumbers, electricians, teachers, etc.
Why do you insist on using that same label insinuating that they are "rich snobs" for everyone in the city? You do this for complete strangers walking down a sidewalk. All you're doing is coming across as jealous.
I agree with Suomynona. Just because I work hard, and no I am not a civil servant of the government, so that I can treat myself to a nice car or nice things makes me a snobby bureaucrat. Well Charles you are just plain jealous, you are very well capable to work and don't give me that story about Mr. Busiere a telling the contractor not to hire you, that is long gone in the past, you can find work elsewhere. But hey you now have a free ride on tax payers money so why would you go out and work hen!
Get off your butt and work and maybe you will be able to get nice things.
Actually Charles I know the car owner and he is a local lawyer. I will encourage him to check this out and see what he thinks of your comments. By the way, he is a very smart individual who studied hard to get where he is today and works about 100 hours a week to get the "snobby stuff" he has. Try it some time - working that is.
Just to let you know ... the gentleman who owns that Nissan 350Z is actually NOT a buraucrat. He's Aaron Savage, twin brother of Matt Savage and Reg Savage's son, who owns Savages Bike Shop. He's a corporate lawyer. Just a bike shop owner's bro visiting his twin brother.
If a Yugo was parked there, would you be upset? Highly doubtful.... I know the car owner personally and he is a nice guy and a smart one too -- he also works his ass off -- to post this with no regard for how hard people work to get what little they have is wrong -- if he wants a nice car so be it. Frankly, it's not really that nice.
Don't post this crap and expect people to support it or buy in to it. You need to think twice about who you are writing about... this is a small town and you're simply pissing people off. I don't mind being pissed off, but you don't even consider what it is that you are writing about... get the facts straight!!

That stretch of sidewalk is, for some stupid reason, permitted parking for customers of the drycleaning place.
The city should shut that parking access off, and make the drycleaning customers park on the street like everyone else.
Not sure what sweetheart deal the drycleaner has with the city of Fredericton, but it should be cancelled.
There are times when you can hardly walk by there.
As long as bloggers can say what ever they want then I guess bureaucrats will be parking where ever they say.

You are 100% correct. I was walking in the other side of town this morning and the same car cut me off coming from a parking garage.
I quickly asked- Are you a lawyer???
He was indeed one and I told him about the blog.
He told me that he owns the building so he's allowed to park his car on the sidewalk.
He's a lawyer so therefore he must know...
I gave him my card and he's suppose to check this blog....
He sounded like a nice guy.....
Typical Charles, now that he has talked to the guy he is a "nice guy" but before he was a "snobby bureaucrat".
