Maybe you weren't even born in those days, This is a huge sex scandal in New Brunswick.
I bumped into John Fearon a couple of months ago and we had a very straight forward chat about the Kingsclear.
He mentioned the names of the people who sexually assaulted him. He went as far as talking about former Premier Richard Hatfield.

Is there two parts to the audio file? Because I didn't hear the guy mention Hatfield?
Be careful.
Walking on thin ice there Charles. Be careful.
walking on thin ice? the gov knew this buggery was happening and did nothing just like in newfoundland!
Like Johnny Cash sang about "whats done in the dark will be brought to the light" You dont steal a childs soul, mind and body and expect to get away with cause sooner or later god will cut you down!
Why do people still bury their heads in the sand? This happened and Hatfield had the pick of the boys he wanted and he also used his purple Bricklin which was and could still be in the Woodstock Museum. Many RCMP who like to abuse also were involved. Covering it up and time does lessen the pain. People needed to be protected not abused. We all have had things happen to us but this is worse then death. Cutting a person arm off would be less painful. Sexual raping and beating and so much more. Time we start helping the victims and giving them a settlement of a few thousand; is not enough. Their lives were ruin and chances for any normal life was taken.
Toff is so disgusting because he is a coward and won't tell what really happened and name all the parties. He deserves to be in Hell and until he tells what really happened he deserves to rot in a cold cell with pedaphile ( can't spell, not able to find in dictionary).
The pain never lessens but your self respect and self worth fades.
No matter how old or young a child is when this happened; they will never be to forget.
Hatfield deserves to still be brought to justices dead or alive. Oh yes the laws protect the dead. What about the living who suffered the pain; they don't seem to count by the actions of our laws, politicians and judges!
Bravo Charles for blogging this victims storu and the story of so many others unable to speak for fear and shame! Keep up the blog, we enjoy reading, and enjoyed the conversation we recently had at Gordies Pub on King st. Have a fantastic summer and good health to you and yours! Pete
Don't know the whole story Charles, but all that was confirmed with Mr. Hatfield is that he had a relationship with a few consenting male adults and liked to smoke the odd blunt.
And last I looked, it is not against the law for two consenting adults to be in a relationship. As well, the marijuana he had in his possession at the time was under the [current] legal limit.
Which is why I found your post very disturbing since its intention seemed to be making false allegations? Like I said, be careful buddy.
Thanks Charles for this sight.
Someday someone will be judged for all the wrongs.
If it takes after death so be it!
Why do people like you like to turn things around and make light of what really happened.
We are not talking about consenting adults we are talking about minors and children.
These are not false and yes people like you want to forget this happened. The ones who suffered in silence can't take it anymore.
Injustice today or thirty years ago is still wrong!
