He says he's not a bigot...but then he turns around and explains why he doesn't believe in equal rights for everyone. Riiiiiiight. Saying you're not a bigot doesn't make you not a bigot.

All I hear is a guy stating his opinion and being clear that anyone can do what they want but he disagrees with it and won't condone it. Lots of people don't agree with Christians either yet I never hear an outcry that anti-christians are bigots.

Besides as for equal rights, everyone had equal rights and was treated the same before any changes to marriage. There were some rules though. You could only marry one person and that person had to be of the opposite sex. The number one reason has nothing to do with religion, its to ensure strong families for children. Easier divorce was supposed to make marriage better too. Instead 50% end in divorce now and more and more kids are living in broken homes. That's caused lots of problems. To immediately call someopne bigoted who questions this change (that probably is going nowhere) is merely a tactic to try to shut down debate. The same things has happened in the abortion debate and it's unfortunate because there are some good questions which should be asked in both.

The majority of people oppose that which they do not understand. I am not gay but have no problem with a person being gay. Sometimes their behaviour is questionable to the "norm" such as wild antics and over the top displays of being gay. I think my sexuality, my religious affiliation, my political views etc. are private and unless required or choseing to tell, it's of no consequence to anyone.
