Sure. Get the people who want to save them to put their money where their mouths are. It's easy to spend other people's money and make all kinds of demands. It's harder when its yours.
Of course they will be saved. Heritage and the arts are an important economic development factor in any city. People understand that in Fredericton and will find the resources to make it happen.
Good buildings should be saved and if not sound make the owner take it down or take them them to court and pay for the demolition and any other charges. Laws for the rich and the rest of us!
