Oh man I can't wait for you to test that little theory. Trespass and break and enter are not tools of a respectable journalist (they are however not uncommon amongst paparazzi).

I'm an investigative journalist, I can go anywhere I wish... that's HILARIOUS!

Charles, you seriously need to educate yourself on the Canadian legal system.

So lets see what we have here. You (and Mr. D'Arcy) are outraged that the Irvings have yet to repair the fence...that the police would not contact them (well D'Arcy is upset at that at least). Both of you claim your really upset about the danger to kids (I assumed that by the 5 exclamation marks!) yet no one seemed to even consider bringing along a little bit of wire on one of your visits to at least secure the hole enough to keep the smallest, youngest and most vulnerable of those children out? Of course this is an Irving problem, Of course it is something that they should have taken care off ASAP and further Mr. D'Arcy is correct in mentioning the Gleaner is in a unique position to have reasonably been expected to inform their employer of the state of the fence. But that being said instead of this wailing and gnashing of teeth about the dangers to the children might not one of you adults that have been aware of this for 3 days at least secured the hole in the fence even if just to ease your own troubled minds? Or is it just too convenient to be able to complain about the Irvings?

A true invesigative journalist never breaks the law!!!!

Hey? How can I show the whole story without going inside?

You didn't expect the Irvings to shows the readers of their so-call papers the real pictures did you?

Freedom of speech must remain alive in new brunswick!!!!

As a true journalist? I will certain this happens!!!!

You call yourself an investigative journalist and claim that you can go anywhere you wish. Lets get things straight- you are not an investigative journalist - but a blogger, and that dos not give you the right to go on private property without permission of the owners.I think your infamy has gone to your head- you are beginning to sound like a nut case.

Now, I thought this story was all about the dangers of an open fence and the dangers to children. Why now am I not surprised to find out it is yet again about nothing more than Charles himself.

Anonymous said...

why should charles fix the fence, it's not his fence.

Anonymous said...

1:56 PM what do you mean he is sounds like a "nut case". He is an established nut case and fruitcake.

Anonymous said...

do you really think that if someone wanted to go in there that fence would really stop them, ha doubt it.

OMG get a hold of yourselfs people, he went into an ABANDONED building, someone that tons of people do, and its not like some random people own it, the IRVINGS own it.

Calm down

Yeah, so be sure to call Brad Woodside when you are arrested then.

This is the most idiotic thing I've seen you say Charles, and that is certainly saying something because you've said some pretty stupid thing sin the past. Why don't you come try and enter any of my properties to blog about something? I can assure you, you are NOT allowed on my property regardless of what you call yourself.

I don't expect Charles to fix the fence anonymous 2:40. That is the point. I doubt Charles cares anything about the hole in the fence or if any child actually we inside and got hurt. All he really is concerned about is the chance to yet again bash Irvings. The suggestion wasn't to have Charles renovate the building or stand guard until the Irvings finally got off their butts and secured the property. It simply was a suggestion that if you truly care about the children why not take 20 min. and temporarily wire the hole shut. If as I suspect he really isn't nearly as concerned with kids as he is with ranting about the Irvings then the suggestion is simply moot.

Laws don't apply to Charles. He's a blogger, then he can do whatever he wants. I'm a blogger too. So I guess I get the same rights, right?

Remember, remember the Fifth of November!

Time to rise up my friends and countrymen. This episode is yet further evidence that the aristocracy that rules New Brunswick needs to be brought down. The Irvings are that aristocracy and they have and have always had a death grip on the innocent and hard working people of New Brunswick.

Rise up. Rise up. Time to put their evil reign to an end.

November 5th is the day.

The Irving Family and their supporters have been served notice. You have 25 days to leave New Brunswick or face the consequences of the angry proletariat with whose blood and sweat you have oiled your money making machine. The abuse ends in 25 days. Stay tuned!

Hey, great shots of the station Charles!
I would like to invite your readers to sign my on-line petition relating to this sad building:

http://www.petitiononline.com/mod_perl/signed.cgi?yksta&1

I was indeed pleasantly surprised that the Gleaner was wanting to interview me about the station and my little petition. (The left hand smacking the right?)

It worked for me. I have 225 signatures and still counting.

I would like to have tried to fix the fence myself but I didn't have any wire or tools and I'm really not very handy with repairs like that.
One thought though. If I DID fix the holes to the fence myself and someone broke through my repairs and was injured, would I face charges for touching someone else's fence AND for poor repairs allowing someone to get in? Then, would the injured party sue me as well for their injuries due to my poor repair job?
That seems pretty risky to me.
What I WILL do is stop my kids from going in and anyone else while I'm there.

By the way, I was there today at 4:45 p.m. and 2 Kent employees drove up to lock and patch up the open doors.
They didn't know about the fence holes but had a look when I told them about it.
That aspect of this struggle. should be okay for now.
Now for the building itself.
It's a shame the Kent boys didn't come to patch the roof!

I do hope they have the fence repaired. The only way that you might possibly be at fault by closing the opening would be if you did it in such a way as to make your repair cause the ingury and you would have to be pretty "unhandy' to do that.

okay. i have something quick to say..

GET A FREAKIN' LIFE.

mind your own business when it comes to what charles does on HIS time (keyword: his) whether he is trespassing or not, let the law decide that. do you guys not have anything better to do?

i've said this before on here and i'll say it again. stop coming on his website if all you're going to do is critize what he does.

i, myself, write. alot. and it frustrates me when people who think they know everything come on and say nothing but negative things. seriously! get a job that will keep you busy.

now have a great day.

Well anonymous 3:10 Let me be the first to say and should I care what you think? Get yourself your own blog and then you can ban whom ever you wish.

Anonymous said...

how old are you, "just passing", 10?

sticks and stones will break my bones but names will never hurt me...

That coming form someone that either said or agrees with the profound statement "stop coming on his website if all you're going to do is criticize what he does"? Is there pretty much any more absurd statement one could make at a blog that if not for the critics would be a virtual ghost town?
