The question at the end of the day would be why is mr lord constantly hiding behind the referundum on this issue when he is not being asked to remove or reduce the # of vlts in New Brunswick he is being directly asked to reduce the hours of opperation in this province to help curb the affliction upon society by these highly addictive machines and as a player myself I support this action.I know that it will not kill me to wait until after supper to contribute my couple of dollars to my habit but at the same time I do recognize the need to have down time on vlts because some problem gamblers are risking their life and wellbieng and cannot simply walk away.I voted to keep them in but that did not mean there was no room to negociate changes to the way they opperate.I would hate to believe my premier would use our decision to keep these vlts as an excuse not to make changes to save lives for the sake of bilking the weak of their very existance.

You seemed to be obsessed with death these days. Long before Tim Smith dies Bernard Lord will die politically and will be buried. His days as a politician are numbered and he will be NOBODY in politics soon. People can take stupidity and arrogance so long.

You realize your blog of April 21st has 69 comments because the problems you had too many got posted there. It is unfair to other blogs.

You must keep your blogs short now that they are on one page. The page does not scroll properly because of that. More than 500 words also loses impact. Just a suggestion and not critism. Keep up the good work.

Let us see now:

VLTs is people’s fault as they voted to keep them
Ritalin is doctors fault as they prescribe it
Orimulsion fiasco is NB Power’s fault
Indecision on Point Lepreau is Federal government’s fault
Financial mismanagement is previous Liberal government’s fault.
Health care problems are previous Liberal government’s fault, they started closing hospital beds.
High taxes on gasoline is previous Liberal government’s fault, they started the trend
Revealing personal and confidential information about citizens is Opposition’s fault. Steward Jamison was asking too many questions on environment.

Bernard Lord can do no wrong. This guy is a basket case. If he goes to a psychologist he will be diagnosed as very severe case of incompetence and ignorance. I hope he does get help.

I know that sometimes or often that my blogs are long winded but you must understand that I have lots to write about. Any long term readers knows that once they start reading a blog? I talked about anything beside the headline in hand. I might add that I'm writing about issues during these last few days because I feel that next week will be dedicated to Tim Smith. The Irving's reporters job is to report the news. My job < look? I'm now calling this a job????...lol is to tell the readers stories of what's happening around the Legislature with Tim Smith that you won't read in the media! You know what I mean Jelly Bean????

Charlie:

????? here. I like you used to work at the Dock.

I thought you would get a kick out of this advert for RST looking for suckers to join the Irving TEAM! LOL.

Notice the price you will pay for fuel for your rig. .413 cents per litre. The only way this is possible is if we, the consumer are subsidizing his fleets at the pumps. Rigs working for Midland get a similar deal!

I heard an old boy on Talk of the Town a few weeks back claiming that NB Southern doesn't pay tax on it's fuel.

I thought he was nuts until I remembered a similar add for Midland.

Voila! Here it is again for RST and you can bet it's the same for Sunbury!

I think this should be investigated because whether Irving owns the bunker from which he makes the diesel or not he should be paying the fuel taxes once it leaves the Refinery for use in other companies.

We as consumers are in effect paying Irving to drive the independent truckers off the highway. This little sweet heart deal is subsidizing the Irving fleets to the tune of some $22,000.00 or better/year.

No wonder there is no competition in this province.

Keep up the good fight!

There's a huge battle ongoing with Irving right now.

Irving is attempting to get The Lord to expropriate his land in Red Head for LNG pipelines.

They offered the residents $500.00 per acre. The land right alongside
this wanted to be pruchase is selling for $65,000.00 per acre!

Aren't the Irvings generous.

I sincerely hope some of those hopelessly addicted to vlt's shed their clokes and dawn their daggers to help support mr smith in his attempt to do battle for them when he reaches fredericton this week because we now know he has no problem in his compassionate beliefs helping them.Let us not forget what he has gone through to make that point I couldn't imagine forgoing half of what that nightmare must have been like to stand alone for so many this man didn't even know.
If support deserves a worthy cause then tim deserves that respect.
