THE IRVINGS HAVE WON AGAIN!!!!
While walking by the Centennial Building. I noticed a barge of reporters walking on the sidewalk and T.J. Burke was in the middle.
I wonder what he was doing in there??
I guess that the Irvings have won again!
The Natives have lost their rights to cut woods in New Brunswick.
Also in the crowd was Yvon Poitras.
I told Yvon - I guess the Irvings won again!!!
He quickly answered - It’s more than the Irvings who won!!
Every instance that I meet Yvon? I think of the Irvings!
Yvon always make it clear that the forestry situation is much more than the Irvings!
I guess that the New Brunswick Family Community Services can continue their witch-hunt against the Natives in this Province because they’re not allowed to go in the woods and make a few extra bucks to survive.
Very sad day in New Brunswick indeed!!!

BS! It's a great day for all NBers, especially the tens of thousands who work in forestry. If the people (government) has lost this case, many people would have suffered.
The Irvings, like all large corporations, almost never really lose. If the decision had hurt them, they'd have found a way to pass on the hurt. It's what they do!
Yeah! Squatters won. Hurray!!!
That's what the Irving media WANT you to believe, that big companies always find a way to win so there's no point in fighting. This is why there is such a 'culture of defeat' in New Brunswick and why the NDP can't get any more than one seat.
There are now only 12,000 people who work in the forestry industry, this has been rapidly declining with technology and outsourcing to the point where the only real workers are the few who live in rural areas. This is unfortunate since New Brunswickers actually own 50% of the land and could do wonders with it if they had the balls to stand up. One of the biggest agricultural movements internationally is 'non timber forest products' which varies from selective woodcuts, maple syrup, mushrooms, bark, among thousands of other products. Even in timber the province would be far better off if it 'shared the wealth' rather than give it to companys carte blanche.
Unfortunately, New Brunswickers haven't got the guts to stand up to their government which acts for the corporations (and Irving, which only employs 3000 people).
The NDP can't win more than one seat because they generally have poor candidates. They need 55 Elizabeth Weirs and they just don't have them. Looking at the 3 leadership candidates it doesn't look like anything will change for the NDP anytime soon.
