jwmcq you are right on. He thinks he can fool the people any time he wishes. He thinks by making few trips to Saint John he will win everybody over. People should give it to him this time. Who likes to be fooled? May be NBers but enough is enough.

I know this is already past comment but I yhink some warrent enough to be put in again as this is important info.

I just don't understand how the Conservative Party can go around with swelled heads thinking they're doing well with New Brunswick Voters.

1)Premier lord was boo'd at St.John High School.

2)Macfarlane was boo'd a few days later at Lord Beaverbrook Arena

3)Hooten gets boo'd a few days after that at Harbour station.

And yet they think they're doing great things and making great strides with the people of New Brunswick????????????!!!!!!!!

Lord and MacFarlane got boo'd because they are boo-Hooton supporters. It is just like Lord who thinks NBers love him. 4:07 PM poster has the same problem. Their perceptions and senses have been dulled.

Saint John Harbour voters must not forget that first their MLA was lured away and then suddenly by-election was imposed on them. This Lordism deception must end.

Judging from the auto-insurance study it looks energy conservation is another one of Lord's scam. It will cost few millions to tax payers which will quietly added to our hydro and other energy bills. Thank you Lord for screwing us.

No Hooton. Please put on your booton and march away. We do not need you.

Yes I also was sicken when I heard Hooton, saying on the news last night, people are so understanding and they know we care for them; you can see it their eyes. I don't know who's doors you were referring too, but I'm sure people gave them an ear full or quietly closed the door or never answered. They live in a fantasy world. Don't listen to the average person just the wealthy. People are not happy because right now we will be facing the worst tax increases and people won't be able to maintain what they have now and some people will have to sell or eventually have their home taken away. The power never should be as high as it is ( next year we will be devasted) but thanks to Pemier Lord we will paying for this the rest of our lives and our children and grandchildren. Why would anyone in their right mind, say yes to freezing a millionaires tax for 25 years and let the citizens of Saint John suffer. They have no idea or their realty is they don't care. Give Hooton the Booton and next time let's give Lord an ego check. Get out of politics now.

I just want to remind the Voters of Saint John Harbour Just how Important a role you will be playing in this upcoming Bi-Election.

Don't let the CON-servatives fool you into believing all is well, you alone hold the power of change within your grasp.

If Dr.Doherty and the Liberal Party get this seat Mr.Lord will then only hold (ONE) seat majority, next he must then pick the speaker of the house which in turn becomes nutraul.

Ta Da!! Minority Government and now with Mr.Hutchen's mishap Mr.Lord could definitly have his neck below the waterline.

One slip and all of a sudden reality hits him right between the eyes, Can you say snap election?

All at once the hot air in his head deflates and his errigance of nothing happens without my say goes along the way.

So in light of this I would like to remind the Voters of Saint John Harbour who have been silenced for far too long that we alone now hold the power of change in this Province and in this riding.

No Liberal or Conservative has held this seat for 14 Years and I believe the people of Saint John Harbour understand this is a Bi-Election which is good for only 18 months at most and can serve as a trial basis toward a full Provincial Election.
Thus any changes can take place again at that time.

Lastly I am a member of Saint John Harbour and as such, it feels good to have a very important role in these changes.

I hope on Election Day we can work as a solid group for change in this area and we DO-NOT waste our votes on the NDP candidate for this very important Bi-Election so it's not a vote to Hooten who in all reality will just be another person on bernard's(Here's a folder but I'll tie your hands policy).

We can then assess what we have gotten for the next 18 Months,If we do not find it to our satisfaction we can then show our feelings toward the proper Candidate in a Provincial Election in 18 months.

Saying that makes me laugh yet vote Hooton a member from the oppositon's office is going to have to resign because of unapproipate expense accounts. Don't let anybody fool you the government has had a one seat majority already for 2 years and they look to be doing fine. You can vote in the opposition that would be fine but Ed will not deliver to the people of SJ and he will not be able to get anything done while inopposition. Let's all be rooton for hooton on Nov. 14 and get somebody in government that can work with them and not just critisize them.

Yes Lord will do more of the same as he did in last 6 years. Screw NBers even more. No Hooten she should go shooten with Bernie somewhere else. They both should leave our lives.

WCIE's cartoon is correct. The election doesn't change a thing because it won't affect the government. Still, the Tories have the most to gain out of this one if they can win it. The NDP need to seriously rethink their strategy if they get wiped off the political map. I'm surprised more hasn't been said in the media about the NDP angle. A loss would be a massive blow to them.

Maybe 6:10 can explain how a person like Mrs. Hooten with very little or no Provincial Political experience would fair any better than Dr.Doherty especialy with Mr.Lord being a tie your hands boss as with most of his caucus of those who are a lot more qualified and have many years of experience but cannot get anything done unless Mighty Lord desides to be in a good mood and help their cause??

It is an absolute shame that she has put herself in this position because even if per say she manages to pull this off for Mr.Lord as we all know she certainly did not choose to do it for herself, from that point on he will have no use for her and the people of this riding are in for a rude awakining once they realize she has no clout what-so-ever from the Capital to help in any way.

No matter what you say you cannot deny that the riding has never seen a MLA that has been on government side and this is a real good chance to see what can be done for the Harbour. To put an opposition government in is a real bad choice for Saint Johners. Give her a chance if you don't like what she does then in 2 years vote her out, but for the people of SJ you have a chance to have somebody working with government on your side and this could be a real good opportunity for everybody.

Working with Lord government is not a positive, it is a negative. It can only do harm to Saint John given the track record of Lord government.

Yes Lord will make it impossible for us but that is what we have now. Don't let people tell you anything will be better if Lord gets his way. It will send a message we can screw Saint Johners over and over and they take it without a step. Give Hooton the Booton. Give Dr Doherty a chance, he has done alot in his life and his character will out shine Bubble head, from comedy council and the poor excuse of a mayor she just loves to support.
