ROGERS TELEVISION AND THE IRVINGS ARE DENYING SAINT JOHNERS THE RIGHT TO SPEAK???

I just received this email -

lordtv

Hi Charles

Last night I emailed my question for the debate and in order for my question to be asked I must verify my address and phone number.

The problem I see is they use the people of Saint John and News Media province wide; as a Saint Johners who cares what is going on with the By election we will not be able to ask a question.

Some people who don't care or so down or passive, right now do not realize the problem we will face in the future with the Lord government.

Some people hopefully will step up to the plate.

I will try to pass my question on before the deadline.

Controlled again by the select group; I'm sure exceptions will be made and we will know nothing about that.

Lord Government and people who don't even pay Saint John taxes to vote to let the Bill pass to give billionaires their tax deal for 25 years.

Fairness with Irvings, Rogers Television and the Premier.

This will effect all of Saint John, asking a question should be allowed.

Am I wrong or what they have tax us so much and made deals behind closed doors, fairness is never on the side of the ordinary tax payer or citizen.

Fed up with the Lord Government!

You are rightly fed up with Lord government. So are the majority of New Brunswickers. Saint John and Saint John Harbour has been especially wronged. First their MLA was lured away and then right away a by-election was imposed on the people of Saint John Harbour. This by-election is all about political survival of Bernard Lord. He cares less for the people. Now is the chance to give him his own medcine. Please look after your own interests and elect the right candidate. Ms. Booton is not right the candidate given the track record of Lord government. Now is your chance to tell Bernard Lord that his government and his policies are unacceptable.

Lord Government constantly makes threats to its citizens. Now his supporters have made threats to Charles Leblanc to sue. Lord government does not spare anyone including the weak and poor. Yes, it kisses the butts of rich only. We must not take this anymore.

Good work, Charles. Do not get intimidated by Lord and the gang. They can hit their head against the wall, bang, bang. Lord and cronies have too thin a skin. They are so busy teaching lesson to citizens of this provine that they have no time to govern for which they were elected. It is time for Lord to step down. Wrong person stepped down. It should not be Tony Huntjens it should be Bernard Lord.

Lord and government will have to sue more than 70% of New Brunswick voters because they have no use for Bernard Lord and his government. What a bunch of Yahoos threatening citizens all the time.

Here's one Charles why don't you write a story about facts? Take Andy Scott for instance why don't you have a picture with all the native community waiting to be evacuated while Andy sits on his own private plane waving at them while he goes to Ottawa?

Let us put our own house in order before we reform the whole country. It is creepy thought to think that Lord would run federally. Imagine how much damage he can do to the whole nation. Look at the mess in this province. He must be stopped and must be stopped now.

4:50 - I'll never figure out on this site why so many don't even wish to look at what goes on federally. I have little doubt if Lord became PM, there would be no problem discussing federal issues.

I don't understand your post.

God forbid that Lord becomes PM. A long shot. He has screwed this province so bad that he has no credibility.

Mine 6:17? If it is I'm merely saying that whenever anyone raises federal issues and yes it's usually me, some try to end the debate by saying it's not relevant or that this site is only for certain issues. I disagree or at least leave it up to Charles to make the call.

No doubt part of the reason for little federal coverage here is that with so few seats there's literally nothing that New Brunswickers can do federally, at least provincially there's a chance (albeit a small one)

We have to deal with the problem at hand. Feds, to be fair to them, offered $100 million in childcare and over $100 in gas tax rebate and Bernard Lord's stupid politics is getting in the way. In case of Bernard Lord he always comes first and the province and its people are way down on the totem pole.

well to stop all the goverment nonsense why not get everybody to stop paying taxes that would mean no pay for the goverment and their flunky since no more funds they would have to do something also do not say they will throw us in jail if CANADIAN would stand together (which i do not believe will ever happen) they cannot jail everybody

I think you're calling for a socialist revolution 8:35. I don't think that would solve much. Maybe you're looking for something else. I hate high taxes too but I'll keep paying them because the alternative is social chaos.

I can understand where you're coming from, and the anger, however, not paying your taxes would also mean, there would be no money for healthcare, or any of the other social programs that people desperatly depend on everyday to survive. No schools, nada.......I want change, at the top, in how things are done as well......but personally I'd never advocate putting people in danger, or causing undue suffering to fellow Canadians. In the end your taxes pay for everything we as Canadians hold dear.

We do have P.C. government members in town, Milton Sherwood, Brenda Fowlie, Margaret-Ann Blaney and Trevor Holder representing Saint John and surrounding areas and what have those P.C. members done for us. O Yea gave big business a large tax brake on the backs of Saint John citizens. To put in another P.C. puppet, I don't think would be good when the four that are there now can't do anything what could one more really do.

I am so embarassed to say that I am a Saint Johner when I read all of this hate literature(and I use the word "literature" loosely). If this site is an example of what kind of people we are, then maybe we deserve what we get...or don't get.
