BERNARD LORD WORKS BOTH SIDE OF THE STREET IN SAINT JOHN HARBOUR!!!!!

Rebates for the rich!!!!! Aborting ABUSE for the poor????

My God, it sure gets confusing in the riding of Saint John Harbour.

L-getting

Today we bumped into a lot of workers from the P.C. Party.

We’ll blog that later but the most interesting part was late in the afternoon.

While walking through King’s Square myself and Tim Smith noticed small pamphlets tapped in the benches.

This was the message.

q3

At first? We believe it was just someone voicing his or her views but it was authorized by the Hooten Camp.

The message didn’t make any sense.

What did this piece of paper mean?

q3

At the end, we were told that the Premier mentioned the issue of boarders and roomers rights.

He said that he will introduced these tenant in the act.

I said - WHAT??? Well? We all know who bought this issue head on to the public?..lol…

But what I found very interesting was that the Hooten Camp placed application forms for a $200.00 rebate from their oil bill in every mail box on Douglas Avenue.

Now? What does this mean?

Are they separating the class of citizens from the poor and the rich?

This doesn’t make any sense whatsoever.

Hey? Abuse will stop Tuesday morning if Hooten is elected?

All these pamphlets are in all the corner stores in the South End.

o1

I asked a group of people if they understood the meaning of these message but they couldn’t!

They got these pamphlets all over the City! It must have cost a great bundle to print all these papers.

s4

This Bi-election is getting crazier by the minute.

o1

THIS JUST IN!!!!!

This guy - Russell Perkins is at this momment is in Hooten’s office taking calls from the public. He’s taking phone calls from the public and telling the callers of his abuse. There should be protection for roomers and boarders.

You don't believe me? PLEASE Call him at 506-635-0213!!!! BERNARD LORD WANTS YOU TOO!!!!

q6

So? They took a poor guy from the streets and sat him in their headquarters so he call tell the public to vote for Hooten and everything will be fine Tuesday morning.

The Irvings will put this story on the front page of the Telegraph Journal Monday Morning to brainwash the poor citizens in the South End!!!!

Once again! I blogged it first!!!! IT’S RIDICULOUS!!!!!

q3

I’m glad that that I came down because I would have never believe it if I didn’t see it!!!!

Abuse is when Lord changed the law and passed a Bill to allow the Mayor and Councillors the right to let a Billionaire not pay his taxes for 25 years. Also abuse is the orimulson deal that fell through and now will be stuck paying high rates while again the wealthy have lower rates. Abuse is giving away millions here and there for the corporate friends.
Abuse is giving a barbeque, gifts like bikes and trying to buy a vote when all along that money is ours but we are held hostage. Where were you when we as taxpayers wanted to talk to you, wrote you, phoned you and you ignored us for months and in some cases years.

Thank you Premier Lord you may think you are God and use us like we are not educated and are not deserving; we are all equals but you did know we might some day give you want is rightly what you deserve.

Give Lord and Hooton the Booton.

What you have come across at the Corner Store is nothing because they have done more; things have yet to come out.

Abuse is ignoring the people here in Saint John for 6 years; people ask for help but none came. The rebate is not worth anything, claim it on your taxes and also let EI office know; your payment will effect that; give us all a tax relief get rid of the HST. All people are suffering and struggling not just oil burning homes ( again Irving gets the business ). All his Blue Canoes have a new tax concessions; new business, new deal. Thank your Mayor ,Lord and don't hold your breath for help. The dust is the only thing we will see after the BY election!
Give Hooton the Booton!

Many people around the province feel abused. Seniors, vets, disabled, weak, poor, vulnerable because of Lord government's policies, actions and inactions. Lord does not understand the meaning of the word abuse. Give him the right message on Monday. We do not want him anymore. We cannot take it anymore.

I do agree with both of the above complaints, however, I am glad that at least tenant's rights are getting talked about. If the Residential Tenants Act is changed then I don't care what party takes credit for it-as long as it's done. My only hope is that if Hooton loses they don't use this as an excuse to not change the tenants act. The more people I talk to the more this is getting out there, and almost EVERYBODY I've talked to have been completely surprised by this. As long as the act gets changed I don't care who gets the credit.

Bernard Lord made numerous announcements during this election. Even after his candidate loses he is still the Premier. Does that mean then that his goverment will not honour the commitment it made. That is not campaigning that is blackmailing. People must not allow this blackmail from Lord and his candidate. Give Lord a kick in the #### on Monday.

Charles : I don't mean to be arguementive by any means, I live on Douglas Avenue, and I checked our Family Mailbox after reading your article.

" The Hooten Camp placed application forms for a $200.00 rebate from their oil bill in every mail box on Douglas Avenue. "

There wasn't any $ 200.00 rebate application form in our Mail Box.

The only thing that was there, was a typical vote for me thing, more than likely left by one of Michelle Hooton's Campaign Workers.

Don't try and portray everybody that lives on Douglas Avenue is rolling in so much money, that we don't know what to do with it all.

Your statement " The Hooten Camp placed application forms for a $200.00 rebate from their oil bill in every mail box on Douglas Avenue. " was Wrong Charles.

I will let someone from Douglas Avenue reply to your comment. I received the phone call this evening!!!!

Charlie:

They have had that Perkins guy in the paper just about every day sporting a Vote for Hooten sign!

No mention of the abuse though!

ANy articles on tenants that people find please post them here!

Look at some glaring examples of abuse:
1) Single-mother was demonstrating in front of Centennial Building in tents along with few supporters. She was evicted from public housing and she was told her children were too noisy. Lord got the mother evicted from Centennial Building grounds. Does this man care for abuse?
2) Homeless youth were demonstrating again in tents on Legislature's grounds. Lord got them evicted saying they were just occupying space and were not logical. Is that not abuse? Does this man care for abuse?
3)A very disabled young man was evicted from Southampton House and his father demonstrated in front of the Legislature. Did Lord go there and said hello or inquire whether he could help. Does Lord care abuse? NO and NO. NADA. He is a big liar. He cannot be trusted. He does not care.

I can go on. The examples are simply too many.

Someone you know Charles : I have heard from some very good sources, Rogers CHNI 88.9 FM here in Saint John are not planning on doing any News Coverage of the election results on Monday Night.

How true this rumor is, I honestly don't know. I guess we won't know for sure until election night.

Do you suppose it may possibly be because of the Poll in todays NEWSPAPER :>) And they figured out who's going to win ?

Blogger Charles LeBlanc said...

I will cover each results of the poll as they come in. They will be in this blog!!!!

For the poster that said "I can go on, the examples are too many", I say GO ON. Or was it just a saying? The more stories like this that are out there, the better. Does anybody have a running tally of all the protestors that have been in fredericton over the last few years?

Everyone wants there to be help for eveeryone but that doesnot mean for Hooton. Dr Doherty can help you; Lord does not care just for a vote right is all they want. He had 6 years and people are still beggig for help. Give Hooton the Booton; she knows all too well how to deal with people go behind closed doors and then come out lying.

Dr. Hooton can't help you, the opposition can't do ANYTHING. Tgats how messed up our political system is, over half of the province has NO representation. And people wonder why voter turnout is so low...

On September the 1st, 2005 I Russell Perkins was abused and evicted out of a room on 201 Charlotte Street. I spent 13 days on the streets of Saint John HOMELESS. I spent 13 days without a C PAP breathing machine and suffered throughout the days and nights. I went to the Telegraph Journal they couldn't help me get my money back the landlord owed me. I went to Human Rights they advised me that ther's no help for me due to the fact it was a room.

I went to the Rentalsman office they advised me there was no legislation in regarding to a room or a city by-law. I went to Saint John City Hall and Saint John City Police now I want to ask the question to who ever is reading this letter. How dare you attack a homeless person?

Signed

Russell Perkins

8:50 AM there are too many stories and some cannot be revealed for privacy reasons.

A girl in foster care committed suicide because she did not receive help at the right time.

We all know about a vet being sued by Lord government to claw back his disability pension, disability he received during WWII, to pay for his wife's care. It is a shame. A caring government will never do that.

Now Lord suddenly says he cares for abused. Lie is not the strong enough word for it.

Anonymous said...

Without verification we really can't test anything. Is that really Perkins?

Anonymous said...

What difference that makes if it is Perkins or another abused person. It is exploitation of a vulnerable person.

If people could all have clarity and do the right thing now. Who cares what party you want in ; the right thing right now is tell Lord we have had enough and give Hooton the Booton. After that he has two years or 18 months if he can't help everyone then; please let Shawn Graham have a chance or if you like the NDP but make it clear enough of Premier Lord from someone who voted for him the first time. Big mistake; give Hooton the Booton! She will not deliver except if your wealthy or if it puts her in a good position in life. Get her out now!

If people are posting here claiming to be somebody else then that's a big issue, it means you really can't trust anything here.

Well it's going to be a sleepless night for me,, Can't wait to vote tomorrow. I am so excited to hear the news that hooten was given the booten.AWWW come on Lord, do you think that we Saint Johners are stupid.Where have you been for the last couple of years. All of a sudden your in our face almost every day throwing money at us.Go somewhere else and buy your votes.

Seems funny.

Charlie and Tim have been railing for months and years about the injustices of the Lord government against the poor and addicted!

No one listened!

Now because we have Mr. Perkins being used as a political pawn in this game of power chess for the Harbour riding everyone is supposed to bow down and declare Michelle the champion of the poor and abused!

I don't think so.

The only way for the poor and the addicted to get help is to show Mr. Lord and Ms. Hooten at the poles today that enough is enough.

Lord still has 2 years left in his mandate. By voting for Dr. Doherty you will be putting the government on notice that if they fail to deliver on their promises in this byelection then Hooten will just be the PEBBLE that started the avalanche that buries the Conservative party in New Brunswick both Provincially and Federally in the upcoming general elections!

Win or lose Bernie will have to deliver on those promises or like Hatfield he will drag even the "good" if there is such a thing, MLAs down with him!

I believe the Conservatives have recall for the leadership! They better start this morning if they want to keep their shot at a pension!

The other side is the reality of politics, meaning that if Lord knows he is finished anyway, then he may use the last two years to ram through even worse legislation. If you recall, before all this Irving fiasco, just after the last election he maintained that he "has heard the will of the voters" or something to that effect. And we saw what came out of that.

This time the pressure is going to be doubled. His own party is going to put the pressure. He has no escape. He just cannot afford to screw up if wants to stay Premier for another 18 months.
