At least somebody is doing something unlike the previous government.

Promising Rose Gardens, eh! That is true Bernie. Anything to self-serve.

And after the election, they'll be singing a different tune in Saint John Harbour. With my apologies to the songwriters...

I beg your pardon
I never promised you a rose garden
Along with the sunshine
There's gotta be a little rain sometime (thanks for voting for me suckers)

I could promise you things
Like big diamond rings
But you don't find rose growin'
On stalks of clover
Well, you better think it over (before you cast your vote)

Well, if sweet talkin' you
Could make it come true
I would hand you the world right now
On a silver platter
But what would it matter (because no matter who you vote for, the government always wins)

So smile for a while
And let's be jolly
Life shouldn't be so melancholy
Come and let's share the good times
While we can (before they screw us again)

Repeat chorus one more time! Tra la la la la la

Josphine, good one.

Both Bernie and Michele look joyous. They are so sure that they can pull it off again. They do take people of Saint John Harbour for a fool.

remember 58 to 0?
this is very much on the topic of the harbour by-election. it is in this vote that the people of the riding can send a message to the party and political power-mongers. what that message will be is open to interpretation by the leadership and the public, but that is the process of politics. essentially, the vote will be either support of the status quo, or rejection of the status quo. very simple, people will vote towards the best choice they can see for their own benefit in the immediate future.
so, having said that, i wish to remind the voters of another female p.c. party member, who was leader for a short time. does anyone remember her name?
this talk of hooten's behaviour is identical to the talk about the ex-leader. the behaviour is the same and the lack of social/political skills is the same.
so, for those who really pay attention, decide if you want a re-run of the last time this type of personality was elected. and be prepared to live with the consequences.
and further, how many skilled tradespeople are left in saint john to build the lng plant? and where are the imported workers going to live? saint john harbour? rothesay? quispamsis? champlain heights?
st. martins?
and do the hopeful candidates have a plan for this? who will ask the questions?

Is Lord "buying' or 'blackmailing' the citizens of Saint John? The professional level of this by-election is appalling.

Thanks for the laugh Josephine; tears of joy when Lord loses a seat.

Roses are red violets are blue, give Lord and Hooton their dues.
We were not born yesterday, UNBSJ students were very informed and they were not going to stay silent they know what has been going on, thankyou for informing Hooton again that we aren't going to take it! Thanks to Lord the students have only one year and then they have to pay their loans and they may not be in a position to pay it; does he care if they might be financely strapped or worse. bankrupt, NO.

Lord does care. He cares a lot. He cares the world. BUT for himself only. Sorry folks all he needs from you is your votes, your taxes and then get lost.

You will be the ones on pins and needles and Lord will be enjoying the roses if he succeeds. Do not let him this time.

Lord uses Hooton to get what he wants & Hooton uses Lord to get what she wants. A win-win situation for both but not for Saint Johners!

Truer words were never said. GIve Hooton and the Lord Government what they want; a taste of their own medicine. Vote Dr Doherty.
