D-Day this wimp must go. Enough is enough.

Bernie thought he can reach political heights just by pleasing rich people. He is the worst Premier we ever had. I hope history will never repeat itself.

To Scott : 9:36 PM

Scott CFBC doesn't have an online Audio Web Casting Portal Link : The company and all of their Saint John Stations are currently up for sale.

I don't think you'll ever see them on the air via the Internet Unfortunately: Hope this was some help.

Sorry CFBC is not available online. Heck you're lucky if you can pick them up on the dial 10 km outside the city.
I wish Rick Mantle would look at setting up a blog, to blog along with his shows. It's very popular now with many talk radio shows. C'mon CFBC how about it?? A blog at least??

CBC just reported it's all over. Here's a link:

"Premier Bernard Lord and Hooton addressed Tory supporters in Saint John after the votes were counted. Lord told the crowd that he has received the message that Saint John voters are unhappy with the government and that he'll have to do more to solve housing and poverty-related problems in the city."
CBC
++++
This man still does not get it. Whole province is pissed with this man not just Saint John. It is about time that he should consider resigning.

Good job well done; Dr. Doherty. The work has just begun because the Premier still pulls the purse strings and even after all that it is still our money. Thank you Saint John for doing the right thing when it counts. Give Lord a calling card of his own and wake up we can't take anymore.
Premier Lord said on CFBC he would not of gone for this tax deal for LNG but he passed a Bill which council did not ask for. Also in November 11, 2004 a magazine had printed in there; Repsol and Irving have agreed to a deal. In was in March 2005 Mayor & Council voted in favor of a tax deal for 25 years. When the Mayor and certain councillors ran this LNG tax deal had been something in the works or they knew they would have to agree on certain things; done deal in more ways than one.
Hooton should now revisit the deal and maybe then she could get some respect but that has to be earned.
Thank you for giving Hooton the Booton. There is plenty of work here for her. OH HAPPY DAY,Thanks for voting.

Hey where did Charles get to??? Must be off celebrating. *LOL*

Wonder if Mr.Lord got the message???? I doubt it. He's to busy trying to figure out how to take back all those "gifts" he gave to Saint John.

Nothing like losing big time to bring Hooton back to reality & that is what goes around comes around!!

Good day for Lord haters, bad day for Saint John harbour. Even if Lord had only kept a couple of Hooton's promises it would have been a gold mine for the riding, now, the riding will be right back to where it was as an NDP-getting jack squat. Hooton was going to be in Cabinet with lots of clout to bring some goodies to St. John Harbour, Doherty will be sitting in the opposition and getting nada.

Yes it's true! --- We were definitly celebrating and had a great time!!

I want to Personally thank Mr.Shawn Graham for calling me tonight and thanking me for my help and effort in helping as a member of his team to win this by-election and sending a clear and strong message to Mr.Lord.
Which is,we're not going to take his erragance and ignorance any longer.

It was we the people who put him in our house and we will indeed be we the people who shall remove him.

That takes care of STEP #1 next STEP
can you say SNAP Election??!!

Anyhow if this doesn't come out right, well we all know why....I'm very tired I haven't seen this part of the clock in a very long time.
Take care and god bless!

Timothy Smith.

I think Mrs. Hooton will find her deputy mayor role a difficult one in the coming months. In typical Hooton fashion, she'll find a way to blame it on Lord for 'promising' her the MLA position............no accountability on her part.

The residents of SJ will hold her to her promise to revisit the LNG deal. She has much to prove & do to regain any sort of confidence from the voters.

What she should be doing is making good on the promises splashed around prior to the election. That would make a huge difference but I don't think she has any clout to do so in that regard now that she lost & Lord has retreated back to Fredericton.

Wow. I really thought it would be close or at least closer and it turned out to be no contest. As I said at the beginning the NDP had the most to lose and they did being wiped out of the Legistalture, and the Tories the most to gain and they didn't. Really, the Tories did everything right from a campaign point of view. They had a strong candidate and promised the moon. The problem is they promised things that probably would have gone over big in Caraquet but the same thing doesn't fly in south Saint John. I'd be hiring some new advisors this morning if I were them. It's one thing to lose respectfully, it's another to be blown away. Time for some serious reflection if they don't want 2007 to be a similar blow out.

Congratulations to all of the candidates. It's a tough job running for office and they all deserve the people's thanks.

Bernard Lord is done, finished. I feel sorry for Hooton too to certain extent but she should have know that she climbed aboard a sinking ship. I feel sorry for Tory MLA's and Tory politicians because in a general election they will be screwed if Lord is still the leader. It is about time that he should rethink his career in politics - he has none.

I believe Spinks you said that we will all be eating crow on Tuesday November 15 as Hooton was going to win. What you say now? You want us to send you a plate full of crows. LOL.

Anonymous said...

It has nothing to do with advisors. Lord is independently stupid. He is his own worst enemy. Time to say bye bye.

Why would a governing party be handing out favors to a riding that didn't even vote for them? That's why the NDP got nothing-they didn't vote PC. That's politics, people who vote you in get first dibs, are you going to be extra special nice to people who hate you? Not likely.

The people in Saint John harbour could have voted PC and got two years worth of some of the promises made and turfed out Lord with everybody else. Now they will get nothing, which is what they deserve because they don't support the government. The places which did support the government will get all the goodies, which is how politics works and why a leader of a party almost never loses their own seat because the people know that if he gets in it will be a gold mine, just like Lord has been for Moncton.

11:22 AM sour grapes, eh! If Lord after making promises does not keep them then he will dig his political grave deeper from which he will never be able to climb out if he is not there already.

Spinks said...

Uh-uh 9:49, if you read my posts I said some from either the Tory or Liberal camps (where were the NDP supporters anyway?) was going to be eating serious crow because of the rhetoric from both sides. Clearly we know today the writers' who are eating a steaming helping. I never took sides in this one and merely offered up an opinion on what I thought might happen. I was way off and said so above.

We have had enough promises from Lord himself, Insurance Rates, nothing was done; change a bill so billionaires can drain the peoples money. Orimulsion deal-- our rates next year will increase in the double digits and Lord said we can afford to pay more. Molson deal was bad but it was that he never listen to us at all. He does not feel the desperation of what is going on; people from outside went door to door and they don't know our situation; the paper only prints half truths and they don't know better.

Good job Saint John; yes we may not get what we want but at least we have a good man honestly trying. Good compaign DR. Doherty.
