"What's ADD?"
"ADD...well, it's a special ability,
honey... a way of thinking about things
some people have."
"Like who?"
"Oh, a lot famous people, maybe people you
wouldn't know of yet...but the main thing is, a
very big number of people with ADD have accomplished
some of the most amazing and famous things in
our world today. They talk about it in the news
sometimes, like on that show "ADD Millionaires."
So maybe that's where you heard that word.--is it?"
"No daddy...actually, I heard a teacher in school
saying that ADD was something they called
kids who were bad...they said they had a dis-order
or something and weren't even as smart
as the other kids."
"Really? I'm surprised a teacher would still be
talking about that, these days. That was all
a really long time ago, before people knew what
"ADD" really meant. These days, someone with ADD
usually gets picked out to be a leader or something
--anyway, it's certainly not considered a "bad"
thing now...I guess that teacher was just
reminiscing about the dark ages. Does that answer
your question?"
"Yes...But daddy?"
"What, honey?"
"I have special abilities too! Does that mean
I'm ADD?"
(laughs) "Well, honey, I don't think so.
You see, you're kind of born with it or you're
not. But that doesn't mean you won't do amazing
things yourself one day...I know you will. You just
have to do things the way that works best for you.
You'll do great things too--just wait and see!"
...Can you imagine it?
...We can.

Good question but I believe there's many people who just leaves the battle to me and don't bother to leave a comment.
