I WONDER WHAT INGHAM PALMER SHOULD HAVE SAID ABOUT THIS???

Yes, I often wonder what would have Ingham Palmer say about this site?

He died a few years ago and they had his Hearse going around the raceway as a tribute to this fine man.

This was an email I received from Ingham months before his death.

It more than likely would have broken his heart, if nothing of a Positive Nature was ever to replace the Old Structure.

Another example of how our city needs municiple tax dollars to be collected from Billionaires and we could have made improvments throughout the years. Sad to think our city bends over backwards to help a select group of people but somehow ignore so many things and this is what more of our properties will look like because we have no money we give it away.

Do none of you idiots realize that the government is the same across Canada. NB functions very well considering their economy is relatively small. Try living in Ontario and being poor. You want to talk about being given the shaft. You might think Ontario is rich compared to NB but the rich get richer while the poor get poorer. why not try a national approach if you are that concerned? You will never make a difference provincially... the gov will always help those who can make a difference to the economy...Irving, McCain, Roger's....Charles is looking for attention more than anything else...ADHD....he isn't helping anything!

Why are you on this site you really don't serve alot of good, yes you must be one that thinks Irving is a God.

Even if we don't agree with you we don't call names and put people down. Attention problems don't affect a persons common sense but what is your excuse?

I say good riddance. If VLTs are bad, so are harness racing tracks. My grandfather gambled his family's grocery money for years at the old EPR. These operations are just as evil as VLTs to me.

3:28-Pm, Your grandfather had a problem and should have gotten help, if he didn't bother to.

I remember when the Race Results used to be aired on CFBC by Ing The King, and they were all about what horse won, and what the pay out was.

This is the same radio station that all of you love and praise because of Talk Of The Town.

I've never heard anyone argue Rick Mantle's idea about building a Casino down on the Old Sugar Refinery Site :

I think we should have Gambling in New Brunswick, the very same way as Vegas.

I am not a gambler and really don't think we can totally stop it. I think there should be a spot where we could benefit and the uptown area would be great and horse racing there would be nice to see. I know we don't want people to lose all their money but people have to try to control themselves similiar to drinking too much. It is sad but we can't spot everything just to monitor the addicts. Something should be set up so they can be protected but it can't be totally controlled. We have shopaholic so what do we do close all the stores. I guess you could turn them away.
