Yesterday afternoon while walking down Queen street? I noticed this site.
Looks like the situation in this Province is getting out of control.
I'm lucky the pictures turned out. I took some pictures this morning but they never took. Camera is at it last link.
I can't complain. The little toy was good to me.

Charlie you know as well as I that she is only one of the many to follow her out into the streets as the weather starts to warm up and they once again come out of the many little holes within this province they call home for the winter.
All the money this province throws out the window at things that make no sence such the many many millions the Conservatives ((all be it with Mr.Bernard Lord at the helm))have pissed into the wind to never be seen again but cannot come up with one solid Idea that will support our youth and give them some perspective and dignity back.
That's really awful. Well, I can't speak for Fredericton, but tell this little lady to come to Saint John. They are literally crying for people to work in fast food joints down here, I live downtown Saint John and there are signs in windows everywhere wanting HELP. The unemployment rate is the lowest it has been in years, about 5%. People want to pick and choose the jobs they want to do, well I do a job I don't really like and I don't get much money, but it's better than being all the street. You don't need an education to flip burgers or wash dishes, some people just don't want to get up in the morning, even if they DO sleep in a box, they are LAZY. I'm not suggesting this young lady is one of them.
I'm only saying that, as you know, Saint John is the "call center capital" right now, and, because of that, the positions in the fast food industry, Subway, etc. cannot be filled. That's all I have to say. Thank you for your time.
I'll tell you a little story. Charles you may know who I mean. We have a lady here in Saint John, she has one leg, she might be 55 or so. She has sat in her wheelchair for about a year mostly outside the Liquor on King Street (Saint John) panhandling. I'd take her picture for your site but I got no camera. Anyway, her story for the last year is that she needs all the money she panhandles for so that she can save it up and get herself an artificial leg.
(Dosen't welfare provide those)??
She's a very pleasant lady, nice enough, you know, the trouble I had with this picture, is that at the end of her panhandle shift, she would always get a buddy to go into the Liquor store for her and get her a bottle. Plus she smokes cigarettes (tailor-mades) in her wheelchair all day. That must all cost her a bundle.
I said to her last November "Lady, you should have enough money saved up now to get that artificial leg", she said no I got a ways to go yet. So I kept giving $2 whenever I saw her, other people kept giving, still no leg.
Well, YESTERDAY I SAW THIS LADY AGAIN. She was outside the Liquor Store on King Street. I'm just going for my usual walk.
She had a leg on , or what appeared to be a leg, it must have been one of those steel ones, cause you could tell under her pant legs it was very very narrow. I was astonished !! I said to her "YOU FINALLY GOT YOUR NEW LEG", and she goes "Yeah, thanks to all you people", well I'm like "DUH". But why is she still in the wheelchair? That was strange. I didn't want to ask her that. But another person told me she has to take some therapy to get used to the new leg. I said yeah, if she can ever get off the booze and the smokes.
I think she got her leg from the Welfare anyway. Cause she's still panhandling, and why would she still be panhandling if the only reason she was panhandling before was to get herself the leg?
THIS IS A TRUE STORY. CHECK IT OUT!
Some people told me the reason she's still out there looking for money, well, other than the booze and the smokes, is that NOW she is trying to raise money so she can get her pysio-therapy to help teach her how to walk on the new leg??? Dosen't welfare pay for that?
Well, anyway, guys have fun. Just had to come on and tell you this one. She has been a permanent fixture in the uptown of Saint John for a year or more now.
I'm ahead of ya buddy! There's a picture of her on this blog....stroll down to the picture of the wheelcair and a guy riding a bicycle....
Booze and smokes are DRUGS. You ever met somebody trying to get off drugs? At the best of times it's a tough go. At the worst of times, well, there's no point. Want an easy solution? Just don't give her any more money. But leave the judgement at home, this lady is far less a leach on people than UPN, Ganong, and Irving. She gets some change and bills from those who feel like it, those companies get millions from taxpayers whether you want to pay them or not.
