Why would someone be negative towards economic development?

Um maybe because, first, they already have a job, second, they will see no benefit from the pipeline since it doesn't even connect to their house, third, because their taxes will be responsible for cleaning up gas leaks and fourth, they will DIE if there is an explosion. Is that clear enough?

These buttons will help us pick out the crazies a bit quicker.

Sure, wanting NOT TO DIE, is just 'crazy'. What a silly thing to want!

For an account of the 'economic development agenda', here's an interesting link about the last gas line that was run in 2002:

http://margas.ca/calendar.html

"Justice Paul Creaghan denied jurisdiction today over Enbridge Gas New Brunswick efforts to consolidate the many actions filed against them in New Brunswick courts in Miramichi, Fredericton, Saint John and Moncton, informing Enbridge lawyer David Duncan Young that Enbridge must properly fight its legal battles where they are started. The owners of the claimants, who collectively are owed more than $10 million, say they are looking forward to their day in court with Enbridge as soon as possible. No Enbridge personnel were in attendance for the court hearing."

I've got no problem with the pipe line going through the park.

The park has gone all to heck over the years.

And Besides,it's economic development.

I also think the current Saint John Mayor and Council are doing a great job.
