no i don't work for irving but living in the city of saint john i benefit from the spin off jobs that being an lng port will bring. you people want to take the city to a big zero. you are all losers and i hope we get the pipeline. we are going to be an energy hub and there is nothing you couple of handfuls of losers can do about it. don't like industry then what the f*** are you doing in an industrial city loser. go live in moncton.

Someone was suppose to pick me up but didn't. Very strange therefore it was too late to call someone else. I predict close to 300 people will show up for that meeting. Too bad that I couldn't be there for pictures and stories. I guess we'll have to go by the Irving's newspaper or maybe someone will send me the highlights of the meeting?

so 300 whiners are going to speak for around 70,000 people? self important bunch of clowns. who do you all think you are? i hope they run the freaking pipeline right through the center of the city. in an industrial city it will be a thing of beauty. why don't you lowlifes get a hobby and stop trying to keep our city down. when we are an enegy hub the money that will be around will be wonderful. i bet you goons won't complain then. then again you probably will because you have nothing better to do.

well actually i would not call them whiners i would call them preserver's and my hat is off to them the whiners are the ones that sits by and say everything big companies does is for the benefit of others .. the only benefit is that they will make more money ...
why could they have not run the pipeline somewhere else ....
is it because money talks and who cares about the beauty of our heritages and forest

It's an ugly park anyway. Irving should clear cut the damn thing, and at least keep some guys working with the money they make. Its only wood it will grow back.

I tend to believe that this city could be much more than just an energy hub.I feel that our park needs to be protected from axes that hack pipelines and comments from the shallow end of the gene pool.

The 'energy hub' is the poorest backwater in the province. Irving has a refinery that employs hardly anybody. The gas terminal will employ 8 people. They will lose far more than that as tourists avoid the place like a plague.

But hey, when the thing explodes or leaks, it will provide even MORE jobs to clean it up, put out the fires, rebuild the buildings and bury the charred bodies. Hooray! Stop standing in the way of progress people! Ka Boom!

Anonymous 12:45pm - you need to get off your antidepressant medication & stop being so negative! The people who are opposed to the pipeline going through the park are doing something positive to protect it for future generations to enjoy regardless of whether or not it's an area the public use.

Action, not words, is what is needed!

Well, if he's FOR the pipeline in the middle of the park then I don't think you want to encourage him to ACTION. Obviously he isn't going to act on the same 'side' as the conservationists. So be happy the negatives ones are just sitting on their asses.

yeah i mean the whiners have like 300 people. so if you figure theres 70,000 people in the city then the nays have squat. oh but wait many of the names on that rinky dink petition are from outside the city limits which i beleive is a population of 120,000 when added so they really really have squat. get used to your new pipeline people. as i said before, if you don't like it simply move to moncton or fredericton. they are not industrial cities and might be more suited to you sensitive ones. the rest of us will take the jobs and an improved economy. can you say energy hub? i knew you could.
