I heard this afternoon that shoppers is expanding but.....
I really do not think they are going to be that big??
I heard there is more to it than that because irving now owns downey's property too as well as all along thorne ave. ((Kents and old Canadian
Tire))etc....
The Irvings are slowly filling that side of the march creek in as well as building back there so I think there may be a few surprises down the road that in the end will not surprise anybody at all!
This will just be another oh you should have seen this comming...Duh Duh...

I think it's going to be the Headquarters for the Company that will be putting the LNG Gas Pipeline through Rockwood Park.
That's what I was told.
Man that's one hugh hole! whats that for the LNG group?

I don't know if it's true or not, but I was told this-afternoon, the whole complex is going to be the Office Headquarters for the company that's going to be putting the Gas Line through the park.
The Office is is going to be so-called centrally located, and their just down the road when they hit the park area ?
We have one Empire running our city and the politicians allow this to happen. Hope they have the papers and pay for their permits. Some how I doubt it!
These are really sad times for our city.The Irving's continue to bowl over the citizens and controll the politics of this city and the provinve to do their bidding.25% poverty rate in a town where the common man sees no future.The Irving future is bright.
When the poor start to starve then the crime will really start happening.
It really is a shame.The arrogance is really amazing
I love the way the people in Saint John are willing to just sit back and let the irvings tear apart our city.They are going to really finish us this time.
I asked one of the clerks last week what was going on.
She said that they are building a new Shoppers that will involve closing the one in the old Prince Edward Square mall.
I think you will find a large part will be taken up for parking. I see that the back half with the Shoppers and the Doctors clinc are not being touched for the time being.
I think you may see that Crown Street medical clinic expanded in the near future as Bernie is trying desperately to disperse all the ER services supplied by Saint Joseph's Hospital.
Ok...we can all stop the Irving's plan because I just received an email from a very good source and in place will be a huge Shopping Drug Mart.
They're going to move out from Prince Edward Mall!
The citizens of Saint John are the last ones to know what is happening. Who knows what the Irving Empire has planned for our future. Premier Lord has to go and the Mayor and Councillors to follow. There has to be a pot of gold for these people who have turned their backs on the city of Saint John and the Province.
Disappointed in Zed too; doesnot feel he has to answer to the people. Silence speaks volumes. Right now it can be said for all people who sit by and do nothing to stop the wrongs that have been happening over the last several months. No excuse for people who are having fun and have plenty of money;"doesn't effect me". Wromg it will effect us our children and future families in the city and province.
When will we stand up for our rights. They need to be paying their bills and stop asking the average citizens to subsidize their water rates, power rates, property taxes and grants and many more we certainly won't know about.
Nice when you can take your money elsewhere so you don't have to pay taxes. Laws need to change when they rob from the poor so they can become richer and more powerful.
I agree .Everyone needs to be at the Dennis morris School on the 12th Sunday in milford for the friends of rockwood Park meeting.This group is starting to build momentum.We have a duty to oursrlves and our children to stand up and be counted.It is important that you grab a Tim's coffee and all of your ideas and come to the Dennis Morris School Sun March 12th 6 30pm.
I think everybody should stay home and Not Attend This Meeting. The LNG Gas Pipeline going through Rockwood Park, will give jobs to our Local Tradespeople.
Good jobs at that as well. It's a done deal, everybody get used to it and learn to live with it.
Its good to see some development in that part of town. It was getting a little stagnate.
THe pipeline will still provide jobs dumbhead, what they are trying to do is convince them to run the pipeline around the park instead of through it. This means more pipe, in other words, more work. And it isn't a done deal until the company says it is (and not even then).

You'll see it going through the Park all right, when the Back Hoes and the Dozers are all positioned for the start of the Dig.
Part of the Pipeline will skirt a portion of the Park, then come down and go Right through the Middle of Rockwood Park, and then Hang A Left :
Take a guess as to who is going to get the Construction Contract. I hear advertisements are already out for High Pressure Welders.
Just get set to say Goodbye to the Park now, once the Winter Thaw is over, the Park is History.
Boy you are a little thick no work for Saint John just for a few others and their friends and we are stuck with a real disaster.
Wake up and save our park and our city. Get informed and don't fall for what the billionaires are telling you.
This is so wrong so please think good and long about this.
People in this area are trying to protect our city and bring forward information. Who in their right mind is always defending the Irving Empire who take their money to another country to save taxes our expense? They receive tax concessions, water breaks, grants, land, forests, subsidizes and many more hidden taxes forgiven.
No wonder no other company can come here and compete; these deals are just for the Irving Empire.
We have tp wake up and see reality that our city is suffering. We believe the papers, radio and TV which are contolled with their political spins and people live in a bubble of proganda.
Ask people who have been around a long time and have witness the dismantling of our city.
Sickening and criminal; no justice here because they are all in each others pockets.
