My long time readers truly knows how I used to write updates.
There were no pictures! Just my long winded diaries.
Today with bloggling? It's a total different ballgame.
Anyway? Inside are a couple of updates I wrote in the summer of 2003!
This will be my share in mourning Colin's death!
My sympathy to his family.
Here's the updates and I added the pictures.

Subject: ANOTHER PROTESTER ON THE FRONT LAWN OF THE LEGISLATURE!!!!

OK.....Last evening, I missed the news and I must admit that I was upset because I was 5 minutes late.
I seen the tail end of this story-
Special care home drops brain-injured man off at provincial government office
WebPosted Jul 13 2004 09:48 AM EDT
FREDERICTON — A severely brain-injured young man has been removed from a special care home in Fredericton.
Last week, the provincial government promised mediation in the case of 28-year-old Colin Noel to avoid eviction from Southampton House.
However, his distraught father Tim Noel says his son was dropped off at the offices of Family and Community
Services without his belongings or medications Monday. "He can't walk. He can't talk. He's on medication.
He needs a whole lot of care. And look where he's dumped!
We've got to ask ourselves something very serious here. When you can't do something like that to inmates, someone who's committed a serious crime in
the country, but someone like this that's brain-injured, you can do this? What kind of people do we have in this province representing us?"
I decided to bring my dog Chico for a nice walk and I’ll watch the news at 11:00pm.
While walking around the corner of the
Legislature, I noticed a tent on the front lawn.
I said to myself - My God? A protester??
You mean someone went to the extreme in fighting for their rights?
From far away, I noticed a wheelchair and at that moment I knew that I didn’t have to wait for the late news to find out the whole story about this emotional issue.
Once at the tent, you would never guess who showed up at the exact same time?
The Sergeant At Arms Dan Bussieres.
I told the protester Tim Noel that I was
protesting last year for 6 months.
He told me that he seen me on Rogers the evening before and he congratulated me for a job well done.
He told me the commissionaire told him that it was against the law to camp a tent on the front lawn.
He told the commissionaire that he wasn’t a camper but a protester.
He asked me if he was allowed to pitch a tent?
I told the protester that we’re going to soon find out if he’s allowed to protest because Dan Bussieres was watching and listening very closely near-by.
Dan told me that it was against the law of the Legislative to pitch a tent.
Tim raised his voice and I quickly joined the guy.
We told Dan that it’s the people lawn so
therefore a person should be allowed to protest.
Dan asked the Gentleman if he could chat with the guy in private.
I know Dan very well and he has good Public relation skill, he’s a professional.
On very few instances I have seen him lose his cool but not too often!
At the end, it was decided that Tim Noel will be allowed to stay overnight.
I had a radio with me and since it was given to me as a gift during my protest?
I decided to give the emotional protester my radio so it would keep him
company.
I would soon realize that this is a total different style of protesting because he has his mentally challenge kid with him.
The Commissionaire Mike came over and told the Protester that if he wanted to used the washroom?
Just knocked at the door!
I quickly told the Commissionaire that I found it funny because I wasn’t allowed inside the Legislature when I was protesting but this is a total
different story.
I placed my dog Chico on the young man lap and he gave the dog a nice hug.
This would keep Colin occupied for a few minutes while the Father and Mother
took care of business.
The mother left to pick up a few things so I decided to stick around to keep the Father company.
He asked me if I would watch over his son while he went for a little walk.
Once alone, the kid Colin decided to grab hold of the tent.
My God? Is he ever strong! I couldn’t
take the piece of the tent away from his hand.
He decided that he wasn’t going to let go.
My first cousin in Saint John was born Mentally Retarded< not politically correct > Anyway? I wondered
if the same action could happen to him?
He lives in a special care home in Moncton and could it happen that one day, the people in charge would put him in a taxi and drop him over to a
building like an animal?
Many questions went through my ADHD mind!!!
Anyway, after 2 hours of hanging around, I told the Protester that I had to go home.
I could tell by the look on his face that he was really upset and the
old saying is so true - If a person has his/her health then they shouldn’t complain!
I did tell Mr.Noel that while he’s protesting?
He should keep in mind that he’s fighting for the many other unfortunate people who’s like his son!
This could set up a very dangerous precedent.
Never mind going to the New Brunswick Human Rights Commission because we all know what their attitude are towards people with Disabilities!
Their attitude is - If the Irvings don’t want them? Why should we???
Sorry…I had to add that one!!!
This morning, I showed up at 10:00am and Mr.Noel told me that he didn’t sleep a wink and I really do feel bad for the guy!
He looks very very very tired.
I did tell him last evening that the media will be all around in the morning and he’s very lucky that his message can spread to the world because in my
case?
It took the media 50 days to let the public know about my protest.
I’m going to hang around the tent and see what else happen?
Of course someone from the Liberal Party showed up but no one from the Lord Government and it’s 11:30am!!!
It’s very sad to see a young man rolling on the front lawn of the Legislature and no one seem to care.
He did tell me that many people showed up with their support but lets see what’s going to happen?
OK…Excuse the grammar because I just wrote this note in a very fast way and send this to your friends on the net so they can know the going on in the
Capital…bye bye….

I must forewarn you in advance…if you don’t like long winded letters?
Just delete this note right now because lots have happen during the last 24 hours.
Lets go back to the guy who was protesting in front of the Legislature.
Yesterday morning, I arrived at the tent and the media was all around the area.
In a jokily manner. I said - My God? It took you people 50 days to come and chat with me about my protest and this time around you’re here the very first day!
What’s wrong with this picture anway???
Seriously, this was a very sad story and little did I know that I would be caught right in the middle.
A group who calls themselves the Anti-Poverty Association showed up with bottles of water, ice, mattresses and a big table with an umbrella.
They posted many signs on the ground to inform the public what was going on.
The media made certain that the public knew the going on of the protest.
I told Tim Noel that he was lucky because when I began my protest?
I had 2 shirts, 2 pair of pants and a beach chair.
I didn’t knew anyone and I had no help at the beginning.
This is good because if I would have had it easy?
I would have never been able to write a book about my experience.
I noticed Bernard Richard walking by and he stop just for a few minutes.
I told the well like individual that it must drive him crazy just walking
by a protest without saying a whisper.
He didn’t have any comments and this is a big change for a man who used to have a comment on any issues while he was a
MLA!
I’m certain that if he stays for his whole term that he’s going to go down in history as the best Ombudsman this Province ever had!
Shawn Graham made a short appearance and of course as leader of the opposition he should do.
I asked Tim Noel if anyone from the Lord
Government office showed up?
The answer was – NO!
The evening before Tim Noel asked me if I would watch over his son while he went for a little walk.
Once alone, Colin grabbed the corner of the tent and I couldn’t remove the tent from his strong hand.
I noticed that the corner of the tent was ripped apart during the night.
So I guess that it wasn’t a peaceful evening in the tent.
Tim and his wife Marguerite looked very tired.
Kirk MacDonal MLA for the riding of Mactaquac and the local MLA for Tim Noel Riding showed up.
He sat down with Tim Noel and they chatted for around 30 minutes.
After he was done? I chatted with
the young MLA about the bureaucratic system and it didn’t manner which political party who was in power
because it’s the bureaucrats who decides what going to happen within the Departments.
Then suddenly, we heard a shout for help coming from Tim Noel.
Kirk MacDonald and myself quickly ran towards Tim Noel.
He asked us if we could hold his son arms on the ground while he took a phone call from his cell phone.
My god? This kid is very strong and the
politician and I had a difficult time holding Colin down on the ground.
Ten minutes later, Tim showed up and the
Politician was on his way but unfortunately I was stuck in the middle.
I just couldn’t leave the father alone with his son.
You can tell that the father have had an awful 24 hours of battling with his child.
His shirt was all ripped and he was very tired.
Many tourists walked by and by the look on their face?
You could tell they were disgusted of this very ugly sight on the front lawn of the Legislature.
The sun was hot and Colin was getting angry.
You could tell that he wasn’t a happy camper because he was shouting long loud noise.
A person could hear him from a mile away!
It was terrible!!!
The evening before, I warned Tim Noel about the hot sun and he should put his tent near the trees so he took be in the shade.
His Mother tried to help but both of the parents were hurting and exhausted from carrying this huge guy around for the last 24 hours.
She took over my place but Colin grabbed her by the hair and she sat down on the beach chair and began to cry!
I know it’s very hard to believe but I do have a heart and this sight hit me very hard.
I told her that this experience really change my attitude towards the Health Care workers in the Special homes!
She quickly answered- THEY’RE HEROES!!!
You darn right they are!
She added- Colin don’t wish to be here.
He’s been in the Special home for 5 years and he missed his friends.
I once again decided to grab Colin arm.
My job was to hold him down.
Can you imagine if I had to give
this kid a bath???
He quickly spit on me!
His father said - Now Colin? Don’t do that!
This man have been helping us during the last 24 hours!
He must have spit on me at least 5 times but it’s not his fault because he
doesn’t understand his actions.
We decided to drag Colin under a tree and I noticed the Fredericton Police Department arriving.
I told Tim that they are maybe making a move to have the kid remove?
I suggested that the kid can’t stay here but he should continue the protest without his son.
He told me his wife told me the same thing the evening before.
The cops were nice and they called the
Ambulance.
Once they came into the action.
I decided to leave Colin with the professionals.
The media were all over the place and I said to myself - I hope these people don’t believe that I want to be in the media?
I bet some of them believe – Look
at Charles? He wants the attention!
I was caught in the middle and there’s nothing that I could do!
Once the ambulance crew and police left the scene.
The exhausted Father was trying the keep his son from putting down his pants and from hurting himself.
There was around 15 to 20 media people around looking and staring at the situation!
I said to myself - I got to give the guy a helping hand again!
I understand that media must remain neutral but this was a different case.
So? Once again and after a quick smoke, I once again jumped in the scene.
The father and Mother were exhausted and they needed help!
Tim Noel quickly told me that he really
appreciated my help and he’ll never forget this!
I told him that it was ok because I had nothing to do anyway!
I joked and told the Father that maybe Colin would have made a great football player because he’s very strong!
At the end, two bureaucrats showed up and one of them glanced at me and said- Hi Charles! I didn’t know the two guys but they told Tim Noel if he would except a mediator to try to end this sad chapter?
Tim quickly agreed while holding his son down!
The Mother came and told her husband that Colin should be placed in a car and maybe this would change his attitude?
The evening before I had place Chico< my dog> on his lap and he was happy and quiet with the puppy around.
Too bad that Chico wasn’t around today!
We place Tim in his wheelchair and carried him to the vehicle and we had a very difficult time to bring him in the car.
After 10 minutes, Colin was on his way to a special care home! It was over!
Myself, I was exhausted and I must admit that today my arms are very sore!
It was quite an experience.
One hour later, I seen the Mother at the tent and we had a good chat.
I told the Mother that I had no kids< Thank God for that! > but did they ever think of mercy killing?
She admitted that they taught about it on many occasions because it doesn’t seem to be fair for Colin!
I told her that I always said - We go to Heaven or Hell once we die but I’m a strong believer that we are in hell right here on this Planet!
She also told me that the first three years after Tim accident?
They had to take care of him in their home and it was pure hell because they weren’t trained to handle Colin!
She told me that they didn’t receive proper training by the Government of how to handle a situation like this!
Afterwards, the mother drove me at my place.
Before I left the car, I shook her hand and kissed her on the hand.
I gave her my good luck and I really meant it!
What did I learned after this little experience?
I learn that if he/she has their health?
They shouldn’t complain about anything!
There’s always other people in worse shape than we and we shouldn’t
complain!
Especially the parents who has a special need child.
But? After saying all this?
Will this change my attitude?
Of course not! I’ll continue fighting
against the great injustice being done towards the kids with ADHD around this province.
I also learned that my attitude towards the Health Care Workers in Special homes really change and the Mother is right on by calling these workers - HEROE
BECAUSE THEY ARE HEROES!!!!
One more thing? If you have normal kids at home?
Pray to God that they don’t have a accident and end up like Colin.
I guess that Colin was a bright little boy until the sad day that he got hit by a truck!
Don’t say that it could never happen to your kids?
Because I’m certain that the Noel Family strongly believed that it would never happened to them!
My arms are really sore today!
I just wrote this story in a very fast way!< AS YOU CAN TELL!!! Send this to all your friend
on the net so they can know the going on in the Capital!!!!

I find it fitting to leave God's Minute in here.....
THERE IS NO DIFFERENCE BETWEEN JEW AND
GENTILE--THE SAME LORD IS LORD OF ALL AND
RICHLY BLESSES ALL WHO CALL ON HIM.
( ROMANS 10:12 *NIV )
Dear Charles,
When we are feeling low and depressed there is no better
way to cheer ourselves up, than to count our many blessings.
After all; KNOW THEREFORE THAT THE LORD YOUR
GOD IS GOD; HE IS THE FAITHFUL GOD, KEEPING HIS
COVENANT OF LOVE TO A THOUSAND GENERATIONS
OF THOSE WHO LOVE HIM AND KEEP HIS
COMMANDMENTS. ( DEUTERONOMY 7:9 ) Therefore HE
WILL LOVE YOU AND BLESS YOU!
( DEUTERONOMY 7:13 )
So Charles, when you find yourself feeling blue, always
concentrate on your blessings and you will find yourself
thinking, "Your Blessings Are So Many, Lord," and that will
chase those blues away! For indeed.....
Your Blessings Are So Many, Lord,
To count them one-by-one
Would take much longer than the day
That has just now begun!
You fill each day with miracles
From dawn to setting sun.
Each night you hear a million prayers
When day's work is done.
You keep the old World spinning
As seasons come and go,
And each one is a masterpiece
That sets our hearts aglow.
You fill the Earth with beauty, Lord,
With flowers, shrubs and trees,
And butterflies and bees.
Your Words still give us comfort
For Your promises are true.
Your blessings are so many, Lord,
In everything we do!
Poet: Clay Harrison
Have a wonderful day Charles, and may GOD'S Grace
shine down on you! Amen!
With My Love & Prayers,
your servant Allen
